When I moved to USA as a Canadian Nurse I had to write the USA Nursing exams again in order to get a license in USA even though I was a practicing nurse in Canada..............good luck Chrissy
Hey Chrissy, no worries.....will go just fine. You and Tim try to go out and enjoy yourselves in Manila while you're there. All the best to the whole family 😊 PS....tell Tim to go down to the Pier and make a vlog....it's water anyway 😂
After your graduation, do you have like additional rraining to complete? Like for instance, my mother graduated 4 years nursing degree, she had 2 yrs additional nursing training for 2 years of speciaty traing to receive her RN status from LPN graduate status.
My mother in law, recetly took the physical at St. Luke's and they told her after she needed to complete a sputum test because of problems with her lungs ! This delayed the process a month. Of course, the test was negative, so just heads up that this might happen. Hope not.
My wife was delayed a month also, same deal. I had the x ray reviewed in private, was bogus, crummy x ray was taken at st Luke, but can't refute the physical rejection. hope you don't go thu what my wife had to go thu. good luck. my wife is a nurse also
@@ottokittel709 I think it's a big scam the hospital is running to get money. Someone said 80% of the people are told there's some issue with their xray and must do the sputum test. Our Dr. here in the US looked at hers and said there was no issue whatsoever. But you can't buck the system or else your file will be delayed if you say something.
I missed the live stream but watching now Mrs.K. 😊 It was a nice video. I’m very happy for you both. 😊 Get ready for a much longer flight soon Chrissy. Maybe Manila - LAX Be safe going home.
Ask Tim dealing with the Government “Red-Tape” the old saying is “Hurry-Up & WAIT”!!! Meaning We hurry for them, but expect to wait long time for them to do their part… What I’m saying is it’s Normal I’ve been dealing with Veterans Administration long time. Also Six Years Active- Duty Military, & Two Years US Government Contractor before, During & after Desert Storm. Advanced Level of Patience, it’s frustrating… But if We Expect to wait ridiculous amount of time when dealing with any Government entity. Occasionally when everything goes right & in timely manner it’s pleasant surprise 😮😅 HANG-IN There Guys. All will work out for the best. And it will be worth the time waiting.
When you do come to the US, be aware of people who will try to influence you in a negative way. Don't let them. They will try to destroy your marriage by coming between you and your husband. It can either be from other Americans or from other Filipinos. It is a huge problem here.
A licensed nurse from other countrues would have to take the American NCLEX exam, national nursing exam, to be licensed here just the way all American college nursing geaduate have to do to become licensed.
probably gonna be an issue , as much as they scream, & moan about needing more school teachers & nurses , they set up serious obstacles to that goal , 😮
@@doneown503 I believe here in Canada she would have to write a nurses exam. And she ended up in the one single french province of Canada, she'd have to write nurses license exam in french and also pass a french language test lolol...
@@agent.86 I know. The question referred to her nursing studies...in other words...WILL her nursing license be recognized WHEN she finishes her studies AND THEN gets her license.
If you’re obtaining a conditional green card after your entry and then returning to the Philippines you will have trouble from customs returning to the USA if you’re gone for more than 6 months.
My wife waiting for medical appointment also. Congratulations on being a step closer. We had vaccinations earlier in the year because it takes 6 months to do all. Dealing with visa and it is hurry up and wait.
Chrissy Please send me info on how to order drink in morning, I believe u & Tim drink everyday. I tried to find to find on Tim's vlog no such luck😢 Thank u for ur input
Once you get here in California I believe you'll still have to take the California nursing exam just like what them pinay nurses told me here in our company (facility )where I was working but unfortunately I'm not a nurse they are
Hello and you will do quite well. I will go good and we look forward to welcoming you to the United States. If you and Tim and your son decide to stay in America. You will be treated with respect. And yes, like most others have stated we do have a nurse shortage so come on join up. Enjoy and have a blessed life in America❤
A grade or percentage is not the purpose of passing the NCLEX exam , the sole purpose is to determine whether or Not you are ready to be a Nurse based on the answers that you answered correctly . While you are taking the exam , The computer will just stop abruptly if the questions were either answered correctly or if they were wrongly answered . Based on your answers , It will determine if you are prepared and ready to work as an RN .
