I have some reason to believe that Jonathan's true stand is Star Platinum. Hermit Purple and Jonathan's Stand are practically the same. I'm thinking that if you were a hamon user, you would get a similar stand (I also take into account of Holy's stand, as it is similar to Hermit Purple, I believe she was trained in Hamon at a earlier point in time but never needed the use of it. Therefore the green aspect comes from her peaceful nature and lack of hamon use, or forget thereof.) Since both The World and Star Platinum have the same abilities (stupid, but hear me out), I assume that it wasn't DIO who gained a stand, but Jonathan, and because he was dead, he could not truly manifest Star Platinum and DIO's influence created The World. Star Platinum then went down in the Bloodline and made Jotaro his user. In other words, The World is perhaps an corrupted, artificial copy of Star Platinum. And how Star Platinum gained the ability to Time Stop was by fighting The World head on overtime (or stopped time), practically remembering "Wait this is my ability!" Or maybe Star Platinum is Jonathan's Ghost or The World is actually MIH or Araki forgot, idk
