honestly, i found all the non-bender fighters to be way more impressive than the benders in this universe. imagine being born without the cool bending powers, but fighting to become as strong as them even though you're "just a human" . it's far more admirable imo
It's kind of a Advantage thing though. Benders can do, lethal, heavy, and versatile attacks and movements. They can change the battle ground with ease. Non benders will never stand a chance when ambushed. Defending against them is 80% impossible. They need to have atleast a terrain they can work with to succeed.
+Aurora I kind of agree with you. Non-benders being able to hold their own and, in some cases, being able to subdue or beat trained benders is one of the coolest aspects about avatar. I mean, just look at the Yuyan archers. No bending whatsoever, but they are incredibly skilled marksman who are prized and revered for their deadly accuracy and precision. Aang had never dealt with anyone that skilled before and was visibly struggling against them. Sure, you could argue that he wasn’t really trying to fight them and was more focused on trying to help his sick friends, the Yuyan archers earned that victory because of how skilled and relentless they were.
I have a theory that Suki might still be alive in Korra's time, training new Kyoshi Warriors, and the only reason we haven't seen her yet is because she's in the Fire Nation, which we never visited in that series.
13:02 Suki: *Crouches down looking at the Fire Lord* “So did you, you know? Finish the job?” Ozai: *Looks at Suki* “I’m still alive.” Suki: *Steps back*
@@dbera2591 there is a high probability that both are there as they both were young and LOK takes place 70 years after ATLA so they would both be in their Mid 80s.
@@HammamAlMay I personally picture them having kids that can't element bend, but I would be perfectly fine with one water bending. Sokka and Suki are the best couple in ATLA (Change my mind)
I see it as they may have tried to have children, but just couldn't conceive. But they were always open doors for Aang's family and whatever local kids needed some strong role models. Bumi and Kya would feel happy there whenever it felt like Aang was spending too much time with Tenzin, but they'd remind the kids Aang loved them all.
Yeah, I'm super surprised by the other water nation being so sexist considering the last water avatar was a girl. Could you imagine what would have happened to her if she were born on that side? The world would have been screwed for an entire other 100 years thinking this was the second time the avatar has "mysteriously" not shown up
“ IT’S SUKI! “ -Sokka, in complete astonishment after watching his girlfriend toss herself at him and Toph in a literal battlefield of flame and slaughter
It's because LoK was a different show, not an extension of AtLA - we can't have everyone from AtLA taking part of it like LoK's characters are just secondary bystanders. We had a few returning old members because they were part of the story with their families and positions of power. I'm sure even Bryke didn't have all of the characters' destinies figured out yet. Remember how they got treated during the development of Korra, one season at a time until season 3, so i bet there was little time to give returning characters the development they deserved. To me even Zuko's appearance felt too brief. They could have hinted at Suki, or Azula, and others, but i much preferred how they dedicated a comic to her like they did
Yeah I’m a “modern day kid” as you would say and when I watched the avatar a was literally blown away it actually had a plot other than “talking dogs go on adventures”
@@komikalsage nah it's Suki. In the Imbalance comics, Suki volunteered to train the nonbender guards of Cranefish Town (modern day Republic City) in chi blocking.
Zuko coming inside the tent sees sokka . Sokka slurp. Zuko :Did I just see a rose? Sokka:What a rose no why should there be a rose in here starts chewing Zuko: I'm pretty sure you just ate a rose Sokka:(swallows tha rose )what rose there is no rose in my mouth (nervous laughing ) Haha ahahaha SOOOOOO WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE ZUKO AT THIS HOUR Zuko: Leaves
At 6:05 the narrator says that there are three girls interested in Sokka, but she's wrong! There are actually four! You know... she forgot to mention Ty-lee!
Despite losing to Azula and her team, she stood on her ground and fought like brave warrior. Imagine if she learnt chi blocking, basically OHKO for Azula.
Suki probably retired and lived a quiet life in Kyoshi Island following Sokka succumbing to his injuries trying to protect baby Korra from Zaheer and the Red Lotus goons...
Even a Kyoshi Warrior can find herself in trouble. Suki is captured by the Fire Nation and brought to the Boiling Rock, a grim prison in the middle of a dormant volcano. Separated from Team Avatar and her Kyoshi Warrior sisters, she decides to build her own community among other prisoners. But it's going to take more than an encouraging word to build trust among so many frightened people. Suki will need to draw on all her resources to do it, and even that might not be enough. This is What "Suki Alone" is going to be about.
Imagine if suki had a great bond with momo and momo was exited to see suki too. Would be abit more in-depth character and could have oppurtunity for a funny moment
They should have given us a series with them as adults, we already loved the characters so it wouldn't have been difficult to market the show. The intimate relationships built in the series would've been great to see as they went into adulthood and have kids but instead they turned them into granny's and erased all the emotional aspect like katara and aang, sokka and suki, zuko and mai etc
chibi sokka: who am i gonna take suki or princess yue a!? looks at suki 1 heart looks at princess yue a 2 hearts chibi suki: i saw him first! chibi princess yue a: ( echo ) dont make me use my moon powers on you!🌙 chibi suki: dont make me make aang call avatar kyoshi on you! ( avatar kyoshi destroys the moon in the backround ) let the 100 year shipping war begin
It's sad Suki, Ty Lee, Mai, and Azula weren't mentioned it all in LOK. I mean I wanna know what happened to them? I also wanna know whether she and Sokka got married after all and what happened to Zuko and Mai. I know Zuko had a child but the mother I think is unknown, Ty Lee also had a child but the father is unknown, and well Azula.. She married and had 2 kids but I wish we had maybe a separate episode just showing all of them and how they are doing!
Since every member of the Gaang put something in the creation of Republic City I believed that Sukki evolved the Kyoshi Warriors into the Republic of Nations army becoming the first general (like Iroh II)
I like to think that suki was really the one who came up with the name for republic city, but because that was sokkas job he got a little salty and stole it XD
"What happened to suki after atla?" The video being 95% about the past that we already know not the one we want to know which is why we clicked the video in the first place.
you know i never thought of this watching the first time but as i watched the final episode multiple times i have thought more about it....suki is hella strong to be able to take an entire airship of firebenders powered by sozins comet. ALONE.
I wonder if there was a relationship between zuko and suki in the future because Sokka did not have a child or something and we do not know whether the relationship between Sokka and Sukin continues in the future. On the other hand, in the comics, zuko and suki seem quite together. We know from comics that Zuko and mai are at odds with each other. Therefore, I cannot help but wonder if they had a relationship with zuko and suki in the future.
i always imagine suki end up staying in republic city and help toph train the republic city police in hand to hand combat for nonbending and bending officers
I just realized Suki is the only character that doesn't wear clothing that represents her nation. She's from the Earth kingdom but has been wearing fire nation clothing since she left the boiling rock. What could this mean?
