One of the Most Exciting Young 2-way Wing of the NBA, JDub has had a breakout season as the OKC Thunder have gone above and beyond. #okcthunder #2022nbadraft biz- sportsphere23@gmail.com
Looking at a 22 draft in hindsight, it was a really good and deep draft. I still stand by my pre-draft evaluation that Paolo and Ivey gonna be the best players from this draft, but J Dub caught me by surprise with his play even though it's mostly an SGA effect!
As a Rox fan Im ok with Jabari Smith. Not sure if he will be better than J Dub in the future but nobody would have taken JDub over him at the time. Even OKC took Ousmane Dieng over JDub lol
Okc took Dieng with that pick because they traded up for it and wanted to make sure they got JDub so in case the deal fell through they took Dieng with that pick and JDub with the next pick which they already had. They had to trade up because other teams were interested in doing so as well to pick JDub. Confusing but NBA stuff can get complicated like that. Also Jabari will be great but JDub is on a 1st ballot hall of fame type trajectory 2nd year players are rarely this good I know there is a 2 year age gap but I don’t think it matters that much
@@bkelly625 They took Dieng first because they thought he was a better prospect than JDub. It's that simple. At the end of the day OKc controlled both picks they can choose whoever they wanted first.
@@roslolian11 I literally just explained what happened and you still don’t get it lol. If the trade up for 11th pick fell through the Thunder wanted to make sure they still came away with JDub so they took him 12th and Dieng 11th. Supposedly other teams were calling then Knicks about moving up to 11 to take JDub and Thunder made the move and got both players they wanted in the process but Dieng is much more of a project player and always was. JDub was more prized by Thunder he just went 12th because of what I explained. It’s not simple actually
@@bkelly625 You understand the 11th pick gets called before the 12th pick right? They came away with Dieng first before they picked JDub. Your logic makes zero sense. Doesn't matter if other teams were calling the Knicks by the time it came to draft the 11th guy OKc was already the team picking so what you are saying doesn't make any sense. OKc already had both picks at that time and they got Dieng first because they thought he was the better prospect. It's that simple.
Jabari has improved but come on... He was the number 1 pick until like 3 seconds before draft night in a loaded draft he was that highly rated. He's disappointing.
Dieng was traded to the Thunder on draft night he didnt stay with the Knicks. Also you pronounced his name wrong. You are good at editing and seem to like what you are doing so I hope you succeed as a youtuber but please make sure to do more research for the videos. You would also be able to make better content I think as you could make takes that maybe others have noone has said. Again no hate I hope you succeed
On draft night Jabari was the guy 😂 I listen to the OKC podcast because I'm a fan. Apparently Sam Presti heard Paulo called first, looked at the Houston front office and said "you can have him!" and took Chet 🙄
@@Itstimmah246 nah I ain’t gonna lie he has crazy potential, he plays just like shai and has shai as an influence for the next decade, and he’s a 4th quarter menace, a perfect 2nd or third guy on any team with the potential to be a 22-27 point scorer , he’s got potential, mainly cause of his influences, shai gonna train that boi.
