Hi Leonard. Just stumbled across your channel. Great Video! I remember seeing this car at Palooza. Very cool to learn some of it's history, and looking forward to seeing where you take it, and checking out some of your other videos.
I'm over the moon about this car! I'm really glad you are putting some love into it. If I ever make it back to the MO/ARK region I will try to get to your shop and run the Pig Trail.
I need one of those RUF caps! Great project. Honestly I'd put it back to the NA motor. 74 Carrera is too cool to not consider finding a similar motor. I'd MFI it to make it like a 74 Euro Carrera.
That's a good point and I thought the same thing and was planning to until I spent a few hours driving it around. Hard to give up that turbo power now!
Man I remember this car. These old Porsche have so much character and are beautiful. I really love the look of this car and the color. I can’t wait to see the progress and hopefully the finished product. I’m glad there are guys like you out there that have your passion to save these cars. Thanks for sharing your content.
I’ve got my own orange ‘82 911, which I haven’t named, I hope you keep the color as it is the type of thing that just makes people happy when they see your car.
You sir are exactly right. The factory color is E7 - Orange. Somewhere along the way it was repainted in the wrong shade of orange. Maybe Signal Orange which is a great color but this car should go back to the original 74 E7. Which orange is yours?
@@The911Den I believe mine is Signal Orange, it was repainted by one of the previous owners. I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy having this car in that color as it does draw a lot of attention, but all positive. I am a 911 newbie, looking forward to the work you perform on yours. Like the duck tail, mine currently has a tea tray, also like the bumper covers on yours vs the impact bumpers on mine.
