I have about 10 pairs of nmd’s, mainly the r1’s, a couple v2’s. I love them. For style and comfort, you can’t beat them. The r1 is the best looking shoe imo. That said, I don’t think they can make a comeback if they continue down the styling path they’re on. The v3 is terrible. The r1 is a classic that will continue to do well, and adidas is happy to drop new colors and watch them sell. But if they’re to make a comeback, they need to make an “r2” that reflects the r1’s roots but is once again something special Great vid btw
Love that, an OG NMD head! The R1 for me was unbeatable in its day, it's no wonder it reigned supreme for so long - it's just shame that adi ruined the hype. Imagine (just imagine) adidas got Travis Scott and other massively influential people in the NMDs though - they could definitely kick start a comeback. I think they ran out of ideas after the r1 and cs1 tbh - they started dropping the latter with mesh uppers instead of PK, which was nowhere near as comfortable. I agree, I think they'd have to do something great to bring it back (the v3 is dreadful - are you feeling the S1?) it'll be interesting to see what happens next, but we know new balance have the Crown right now. I agree 100% with your comment. My gf and I both have 8-9 pairs of the NMD R1s with 1 pair each of the Spectoo's (I have the Boba Fett Edition) and R1 V2s. We see the V3s all the time, my gf doesnt like them beause they look similar to the Spectoos and those were about 1.5 sizes too big, and not super comfortable. I dont mind the look of SOME of the V3s that have come out but a majority of them do look pretty terrible. Im hoping they keep making the R1 and V2s, but I definitely think Adidas making a R2 of sorts, would bring back the hype for the NMDs.
adidas will always rock, specially if your a soccer head, but this moon boot ting I am not a fan of, the NMD S1 and R2 and R3, childish shoes, bring camo back to the nmd R1
