This video is about what happened to Portal Power TV the man the myth the legend. This man owned every single skylander that was every released. That's is quite a feat.
@@XizyMSMim at like 600-700 but i can’t be bothered to get another skylander if i die because they’re all in big crates so i just use like 5 and if i die i restart the level
2:08 I actually got E3 Hot Dog by accident back in 2015. I ordered the core version for $13, and the E3 version arrived. Of course, being 9 years old and VERY dumb, I took it out of the box, but I actually still have it
it's not that dumb to take something out of the box; while I can understand collector's value and all that, I don't see the point of buying something only to keep it in the box - so I wouldn't say that you were dumb at all.
Skylanders peaked in 2012 and wimpered out at 2016, and was thought to be fully "dead" by 2018, Comedian Norm MacDonald played the role of Glumshanks on the Skylander TV show.
Since RU-vid disabled the comments on your Skylander Boy and Girl video, I'll just share my thoughts on that video here... The Skylander Boy and Girl were definitely the definitive Skytubers in their prime, and they were easily one of my favourite RU-vidrs at the time! While not all of their videos were what I was looking for, a lot of them were really good! I think my favourite series of theirs would either be their Skylanders Rap music videos, or their Epic Unboxing videos (which inspired me to make a few of my own in the past) where they unbox Skylanders in absolutely insane ways! Honestly I was shocked every time I see the Skylanders figures survived all of the crazy (and potentially dangerous) stunts that completely destroy their packaging! Rather if they're put through a real bear trap, blowtorch, fireworks, thrown off a several story building etc, the figures always somehow remain intact and undamaged! It was actually quite thrilling to watch back in the day! It was quite sad when they left the channel and their legacy ended, but I can understand why. Considering that they've been doing a lot of the exact same stuff for years, it's understandable that they eventually started to lose interest or grow out of it, and the exciting emotional dopamine rush that Skylanders used to constantly give them had eventually faded away and just didn't do it for them anymore. I'm sure we've all been there at some point in our lives, right? However, as sad as it may be, I can't say their channel died in vein. Because IMO the true way to determine the end of a RU-vid channel, and rather if its end is considered a disappointing or satisfying/fitting end for it, all comes down to the very last video posted on the channel, which is what cements its true end. Take Unus Annus for example, the channel that only had 1 year to live (as the name suggests), we all knew the channel was going to disappear from RU-vid forever after the 1 year is up, and their final video/stream was just the perfect way to end their yearlong journey, and make it all feel worth it!... BTW if you've never heard of Unus Annus, then I'm afraid you've missed one of the greatest events in RU-vid history... Anyway back to the Skylander Boy and Girl, when it comes to their official final video on their channel, I think their final video was a fitting/satisfying enough way to go... Not the balloon toss video, I don't think that one really counts, as it seemed to be something they did just for the heck of it, a whole year after they left the channel, so it felt more like a brief visit back rather than a true finale. IMO their true final video before leaving the channel for good, and the one I thought was arguably the best way they could go out with, was their Skylanders Imaginators Music Video! I'm glad that was the video they decided to make their last, cause if it was any of their other videos before that, a lot of people would've been disappointed, especially if it was the Kaos Destroys Skylanders video, which I heard pissed a lot of people off, so thank god that wasn't their very last before they left. Their Imaginators Music Video was a MUCH better way to go, and they definitely made the right decision in doing so! Making an annual Skylanders Song dedicated to each game of the franchise was like a tradition for their channel, so it only seems fitting to make their song for the final game their final video. IMO their Imaginators Song was one of their best, if not THE best Skylanders Rap Song they've ever done! (Though perhaps that's debatable, a lot of their other songs are pretty good too) Even if it's not the finale that everyone wanted, I'm just glad that they went out with a bang before their channel met its end. BTW I could tell you weren't a big fan of their Rap music videos, and that's fine, it's definitely not something that appeals to everyone. I'll admit that a lot of their lyrics were pretty cheesy (though obviously being a kids' channel they had to make their lyrics much more tame and wholesome compared to your typical rap songs, the majority of which are filled with more cursing than an Egyptian Tomb! XD), you can't deny that Skylander Dad himself is a pretty dang good rapper! In fact Sky Dad is such a good rapper, that at one point I really wanted him to play a role in Epic Rap Battles Of History! (Another RU-vid series I was practically obsessed with quite a few years ago) You know how ERB sometimes has guest-star RU-vidrs and internet personalities playing characters in their videos? Well I thought Sky Dad was perfect for their series, and regardless of which character he plays (rather if it's fictional or a real historical figure or celebrity), his rap skills were exactly what ERB needed! (Even the Skylander Boy and Girl themselves agree, when they replied to one of my comments years ago, though I don't remember which one) It's a shame that he never did get into ERB, it would've been awesome... On a different note, while I did miss the Skylander kids when they didn't show up much anymore nearing their channel's end, I can't say I wasn't still entertained when Sky Dad was carrying the channel by himself, as even in his lacking state I still found him generally entertaining to watch for the most part... Sorry about that long ramble, it's a bit of a bad habit I have, especially when I have a lot to say.
Fun fact: even though I'm not a fan of Imaginators, I did want to create Unus as a Dark elemental Brawler Imaginator and Annus as a Light elemental Sorcerer Imaginator.
The rapping with Tae Kwon Crow was pretty great. But I didn't like some of the visuals; such as the Undead song when Funny Bone was featured going to the bathroom - like, really?
Yeah he's still around as you mentioned he posted a comment on Crash's video and he also sent Thrillipede to Skylanders Eon He just doesn't make content as of now
i have been collecting skylanders for a long time. mostly because my kids wanted to. i never paid more than 10 dollars a figure. most were 2 dollars or less. a lot of yard sales and facebook finds. i had no idea about those 3 traps. i own the light and fire trap like that. i got them in a bag of traps from value village. 4 dollars for 15 traps. i always assumed they were just another variant.
There is something he can do but it is impossible to do he could try to get the last skylander he needs for his collection which is the rarest one ever because only 1 person is known to have it and the skylander is happy birthday Ben star cast.
@@Hypnosniper never had him not sure if he came out in my area what made him so good my fave (fire kraken ) not a lot of people like him and everyone likes for the most part spy rise
God, I have so much memories with Swap Force and Trap Team... Trap Team is the best Skylanders game to this day in my opinion. To be honest, I have lots of Swap Force and Trap Team Skylanders too and some older ones like Giants. After that I've got some cars and no more.
Fun Fact: I have a really damn rare Wash Buckler, Series 2 Sprocket, and Series 2 Gill Grunt. They are all metallic, but when I put them in it just says “Special.” Not very relevant just wanted to share.
I just got into this franchise about last year October? Or maybe the year before, either 2019 or 2020 so I had no idea of this guy but this man is a legend and I wish I was into the franchise when he was on RU-vid.
Also he is a god I even recreated The Hulk that he made ( which is now CY from Skylanders Acdemy ) I hope he can come back I loved the Skylanders reimaginators series
The name rang a bell in my head for the first half of the video but as soon as you mentioned the remaginators series memories of me watching those came flooding back, so thanks I guess
Ah my childhood.I remember when I got swapforce for Christmas and couldn’t play it till the next day because we had to go to a family member’s house I remember getting a skylander lego set of the blue bird from giants I miss my childhood
I’m already half way there to getting all the skylanders and I mean every last figure and item in brand new/mint condition for the video games themselves. So far I just completed swapforce. Wish me luck everyone.
@@SkyStrikerEditz Thanks man. Im just about to finish giants. All I am missing is silver hot head, metallic purple eyebrawl and gold lightcore prism break. Then Im off to collect the spyros adventure figures.
I’m guessing this is going to be a series or something? I’m certainly enjoying it so far! BTW why were the comments disabled on your Skylander Boy and Girl video?
@@SkylanderGamerTV Let me guess, RU-vid marked the video as "for kids" which resulted in the comments being disabled. Don't you just hate it when that happens?
this is my dream and im on the hunt for them all, recently managed to pick up about 14 variants from sparkle hothead to glow in the dark wrecking ball all sealed and it’s so exciting ( except being 4k indebt ) but it’s worth it
WOW thats a lot! Even though I have about 100 skylanders and 3 games(including flocked stump smash), I don't have nearly as many as him. yeah, I got flocked stump smash from one of the boxes when I got my first skylanders game. I ended the skylanders academy series today and saw on a top 10 most rarest skylanders list that flocked stump smash was number 4.
