About a decade ago, the Queen was sent a golden console as part of a PR stunt for a forgotten Wii game called Big Family Games, but she never actually received it. Why not? Where is it now?
We decided to try and find it for ourselves.

Honestly, the coolest part is that the guy who owns it is perfectly willing to take it out of the display and show it off, even plug it in. The thing with many collectors that always saddens me is when their collections are strictly "display only," just takes the fun out of it in my opinion.

Exactly. I collect rare things myself, pins, books, hell, even consoles if I can afford them. As soon as these things are in my collection though, the value drops because I actually use them. I think to myself "I'm never going to sell these things, so I'm not speculating, so if I don't use these things then I've literally just spent money on something that may as well be a 3d printed model from Etsy". It helps that I don't have much money to begin with, so if I buy something, I want to get my money's worth. I never understood those people who buy things just so that no-one ever gets to use that thing. Just seems like a selfish waste to me.

Agreed. Although probably not a difficult thing to do for anyone with even minimum skill when it comes to video editing or even someone with a camera and video editing software, it is still something that would take most people more time than they'd consider worth it for a segment of video that lasts just a few seconds.

Long story short THQ made golden Wii for the queen to promote a game with horseshoes. However the guards / security stopped the mail and sent it back. Then THQ got bankrupt, the Wii disappeared, reappeared in a collector's cabinet with the nunchucks still on the loose.

When a new generation of Pokemon were released in Japan during the days of the GBA there were raffles tickets that would allow a few to win a 24K gold handheld GBA. Those are the ultimate prize for any collector of video games and/or consoles. Probably the most expensive and valuable gaming pieces in the world.

This is the first video I've watched from People Make Games. The format is fantastic. Its shot almost like a vlog but the incorporation of continuing the story throughout your journey keeps me interested. Most of the time videos like this end up me just clicking to the end to see whats happened. Here, I really got the full story and before I knew it the 12 minutes was up.

This video was well made and I enjoyed watching it, but what was really special to me was that you actually managed to track down and locate what you set out to find. So many of these types of videos are made, where some super rare or mythical object is said to exist and the end result is that it couldn't be found. It's very rare to see the grail object actually discovered for all to see, and it's this reason that I really like your video here. :)

Uhhh the drone thing happened when I was going to lapland. We got up at about 5. Had a flight for around eight and would arrive at around 3. Yeah right. We arrived at our room at around 11 because some IDIOT decided to fly their drone.
