It's very telling how despite the tremendous amount of effort Pyre did not meet expectations and instead of closing the studio, SGG doubled dow nand brought us Hades. Meanwhile multimillion dollar companies are so worried about their Q quotas that they undo hundreds if not thousands of people's lives at the flip of a hat.
Video games should serve as a means of escapism from the world's current goings-on, not incorporate opinions from either side of the political paradigm. And yes, developers are people, and people are biased to a fault, so it is natural to have instances where the development team's political leanings show through; but today this is the rule rather than the exception. More than that, it is propaganda we are being stuffed with in movies, music and video games. So no, I do not think the industry should voice their predictable thoughts on wars or any other contentious topic.
If only we would have gotten Fable IV a decade or so ago, instead of the woke-riddled hogwash that the coming iteration promises to bring. Edit: Thank you for the video, it's a very enjoyable watch and I like your style of presenting!
Okay, so I am quite late to this. However I am a proud member of ROBLOX's black markets. I develop games on the platform usually for USD or ROBUX, I develop the whole game, and I charge fees for updates. I have found I can make better money doing this, than creating my own games for the platform. I generally charge a hefty fee for my work, as I allow for the customer to keep my name off the credits, and essentially allow my customer to take all the credit. I then take these robux and sell them on the black market for real money. I also take straight up bank transfers and have even gone as far as to meet someone in real life for a cash exchange. I do multiple projects at once and if I did this full time, I could easily be making over 60,000 USD a month. I am not the only one doing this, most major games you see online are actually people who come from money and pay people like me to create a game for them while they take all the credit and are beloved as great developers. I tried to be a legitimate developer and had some success early in the 2015 area, but as I grew up and dug into the DevEx program more, I realized how bad ROBLOX was screwing the developer, so I decided to take the path I am on now. I am almost exclusively on the black market sites and cater to those who want to take full credit for a game while I do all the background work and essentially create the game you play today. As of today, looking at the front page games I can count at least 15 games that I have contributed to in some capacity, and 5 of those are games I created from scratch. I keep an extremely low profile on ROBLOX as I would probably get sued for the work I do. I go as far as to create brand new accounts for each full game I create, and use those accounts for the subsequent updates. There are very few people that know my true identity and my main ROBLOX account. I love the platform and have been a member since 2007, however the path this once beloved game has taken has been unfortunate to say the least and I have more or less been forced to this path. If anyone has any questions I will do my best to reply to comments.
Lol I remember this "game". Communist idiots got everything they deserved. "we hate capitalism but we're going to produce and sell a product in a capitalist market using investor money which is the antithesis of the political system we constantly throw in our players' faces". Don't forget they thanked Marx and Engels during a video game award acceptance speech.
Quite interesting and fun. too hot and far away from me, but otherwise I would try. Also: as queer trans woman I am not at all surprised how many of us are there. :)
God I would never play with anyone who would need "safety tools" to play a f*cking game. If you're playing with actual friends, you could stop playing at anytime without explaining yourself. I hate people turning common sense into a coddling, you're too delicate to play a game mentality.
The pearl clutching at the content of these games is really annoying. They aren't as babied as we are so they understand the difference between a game and real life. Jesus Christ.
Honestly I wanted to learn roblox studio but I switched to learning godot later on, and I've been making some cool stuff with it It also has visual scripts, visual shaders, and many pugins that can help (making hitboxes, plane/car mechanics, custom physics engines)
I would love to do something like this but my body wouldnt let me, my wheel chair would be effed up in no time, I would love to see it tho, hate my body restricts me so much as things like this look so much fun and I would love to know how having a family would feel.
I wonder if you could find or rent an off-road wheelchair that can operate on sand/rocks? We have to have something these days that would work fine for that!
PMG, this is a genuine request. A lot of people have thoughts on how this investigation went, and a response could be very valuable in regaining some lost faith But at the very least, there is a Video by a channel called Jamrock Hobo that you guys should watch, responding to some of the perceived issues in this one. He is very professional, and compliments many of the impressive feats you guys managed, while also pointing out some flaws in the analysis. Not saying you have to make a response, but it would help, and thats a good starting point either way.
This is the worst game for me. I would definitely lose all my friends because I would take everything very personally. I mean, I will flip a candy land board when I lose. Only collaborative games for me.
More than 30,000 people were martyred, a crime that forced America's veto to be used many times, a war crime that was worse than Russia, Ukraine, a war crime that forced a child to help scavenge a congregation with his own hands, a crime that even put his life at stake with flour. Palestine has the right to independence
