There are many examples of jets in VIP or private ownership. Often these go unnoticed as they pass through airports in plain liveries (no pun intended). Some users, though, like to advertise their presence- and many music groups have done this over the years. The Rolling Stones took their turn with some 737-400 aircraft in 2014 and 2015.

I can remember their She’s a Rainbow song featured in iMac G3 Commercial. Still one of my favorites till this day.

They had a chance to do it on the new iMac commercial, but it was a different song, still a pretty good commercial, referencing the iMac G3.

I worked at the Allegheny County airport in Pittsburgh in the late 80’s and early 90’s, a popular choice for band tours back then was the Gulfstream I turboprop. Metallica had an all black livery on theirs, and Bon Jovi’s was purple. Would love to see more videos like this!

Aesthetically, the 720 is my favourite Boeing single aisle, followed very closely by the 727-100.

this 737-400 belongs to Gain Jet a Greek vip airline and it was parked for a looong time at Venizelos international airport in Athens Greece :-)

I never saw the Rolling Stones or Drake's planes but I have seem hockey and baseball team private jets. I did see the Iron Maiden 757 at LAX. The Lakers flew with Champion Air but they folded in 2008. Then the Lakers flew with Delta, they chartered a A320. Don't know about now.

I cleaned the Yes 90125 small twin engine at my first job when I was 16 in Tampa Fla, while they were onboard. I was a huge fan and very starstruck.

I saw it during the 2015 tour but it required a really big walker to get around the tarmac.

The iron maiden planes might actually be worth a separate video. They are called Ed Force one (after their "mascot") and were flown by the front man of the band, Bruce Dickinson

The 737 is a pile, especially if you're a bigger or taller guy like myself (6'2 220). They must've loved the upgrade to the 763, which I still fly on Delta, great aircraft, and I love the 2-3-2 config in a widebody jet.

Led Zeppelin didn't own the jet; they leased it. Also, the Rolling Stones leased a jet for the 1972 tour - one year before Led Zeppelin. This is easily confirmed.

Hie hallo….not related to this video but I do have a question….is it possible to recognize the type of an aircraft flying far above by just listening to its engines sound??

If you have trained ears and know what the different engines sound like you’re maybe able to recognize the engine. But as some aircraft use the same engine type it could be hard to know the exact aircraft type
