@alyssamathews7492

It is extremely important to be kind, gentle and understanding. Also extremely crucial to recognize warning signs. This is why we have people snap and we see horrible tragedies like school shootings for an example. It is usually people who have been either bullied beyond belief or had some sort of horrible home life or we find out later that there was warning signs that friends and family had noticed etc. A lot of times parents or friends and family DO intervene and that person suffering with some sort of mental illness or mental distress is taken to doctors and put on antidepressants or some other form of medication and unfortunately a lot of times a pill can not fix these issues. Antidepressants correct a chemical imbalance.....but they can NOT correct a series of unfortunate events. I myself suffer with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and I know first hand that a pill can not fix it. My condition is due to an incredibly traumatic event (not military related) and I know for myself it is extremely difficult to live with....kindness, patients and understanding is crucial in these situations. When I am having a week long panic attack and still have to go about my life normally and let's say for instance I'm at the grocery store and someone held a door for me or smiled and says "hello" or I'm given a compliment or anything like that I know I always think to myself "you have no idea how much I needed that and the difference you just made and you dont even know" so always be kind...you never know what someone else is going through. BUT!!...If someone comes at you sideways and stupid...by all means punch them square in the face lol ...jk dont do that.

This makes me think of the story about the family (husband, wife, and toddler girl with the dog) packed up in their vehicle and left. Then the vehicle was found with the dog still alive but barley, then they found a phone with a picture taken of the little girl but later they all were found dead. The husband and wife were talking to their paster about seeing demons or ghosts in their house. Also the vehicle was found with a large amount of cash in it.

Brooke Erin V eeeeeyup. Though I blew up at a bipolar person once, I knew he probably had a mental disorder of some sort but I still blew up. I still feel guilty of it to this day. I believe I blew up because the bipolar boy had shoved pass multiple people, did not apologize and slammed a poor young girl into the wall as he walked past. I felt angry that he had not at least sputtered some sort of apology just making an excuse "I tripped".

Not gonna lie, that's actually terrifying. Add to that the fact that she couldn't even explain how she got there. I guess the only saving grace is the fact that if you kidnap someone, you don't really call the police to say that someone is in your trunk.

Goulburn is my hometown. The man who found the eldest daughter in the back of his truck is actually good friends with my step dad. This man actually told my stepdad the story of how he found her hiding in the back of his truck while sitting at my family dining table having a cup of tea. The mental hospital she would’ve been admitted into could’ve either have been Chisholm Ross (the mental health ward of our main hospital, Goulburn Base Hospital) or Kenmore Hospital (although, Kenmore is more of a permanent place for people with long term mental health problems). It’s pretty freaky that this case happened so close to home, literally. Love your videos! Xx

this actually makes so much sense because this is not just a human thing. you come upon any group sentient beings (birds, rabbits, deer), one of them spots you, gets some sort of negative vibes, gets scared etc and is running away, it makes a lot more sense for the rest of the group to follow them before checking out what the cause or "danger" they sensed actually is because its much more safer to run away from a false alarm then stand around and investigate a threat making someone of your group/family panic and flee and this is the modern day human equivalent of this and basically what happens in her example of when you and a group of friends visit a haunted house or w/e and a single person freaks out and it makes the entire group panic

I experienced something similar when I tried working three different jobs seven days a week. I got horribly sick and then developed something like itchy hives all over my body that the doctors could not determine the cause of, which lasted for weeks. I read something about stress rashes, and immediately quit the job causing the most stress. I gave myself one day off a week, and the hives finally disappeared.

I wonder if a similar situation occurred with Pauline parker and Juliet hulme aka the parker-hulme murder case. They developed a complex and incredibly close bond in just a few short years. They created a grand and very detailed fantasy world which they chronicled in writing including drawing parallels between it and reality. Anyway their relationship with one another was such an extreme bond that when their parents somewhat forced them to spend time apart - if I'm not mistaken Juliet was to move away. They came up with the alternate reality where if they eliminated Pauline's mom Juliet's family would adopt Pauline... Anyway the girls ended up killing Pauline's mom and trying to make it look like an accident. Anyway they were both found guilty but only served 5 years in prison since they were 16 and 15 at the time. I have always wondered about the complexity and possible mental health issues within their friendship dynamic and whether or not they played off each other or one persuaded and influenced the other. Now that I have learned something new from your video it kind of makes me think that perhaps this was at play in their situation, especially since they spent so much time together for a few years.

I definitely think it was a case of folie a deux because as soon as they were separated (in different prisons) they started going back to their normal behavior/mind state (as normal as it can be).

When police checked the house it was in total chaos so at that point they thought something terrible had happened. I get what you're saying but if something bad had happened to them and police hadn't been called, I'm guessing that you would have a problem with that? I know I would. I've seen too many times, right here on her channel, when people disappeared and the police did nothing because "they're adults". I'm not trying to be hateful here, I see what you're saying, but I'm sure it was done out of concern.

Alejandra Ramirez I wonder if they had been exposed to toxins. I'm a nurse and the behavior described is symptomatic of exposure to massive chemicals. They all lived together and would have been exposed to the same things. Then Danelle mentioned home renovation and spring at the farm; I can say firsthand that the farm would have had plenty of chemicals sprayed. I wonder what sort of testing of the house and farm was done. My family farms and my father's wife is a pesticide inspector; I'm familiar with this as well as a nurse. I guess we'll never know.

One of the most famous cases of folie a deux is the one the movie heavenly creatures was based off of. Two completely normal girls in New Zealand bludgeoned one of their mothers to death. Part of their sentence was that they were never to see or speak to each other again.

This really is fascinating! I am so glad to hear they are doing well now. I do think that to have 3 children of their children's ages an they all still live with their parents an aren't married and have children of their own is a bit unusual. It kinda of makes you wonder about the family dynamic an if it was a controlling family atmosphere where individual thought was harshly discouraged it would make sense that they all experienced this together.

Wow I really relate to that group panic situation you was talking about. Once I was at a local mall (in England after recent terrorist attacks). Some alarms went off at shop shutters auto close. It turns out it was a false fire alarm but the mass panic was frightening. Suddenly everyone was running to the doors. A lady was carrying a large bottle of perfume (I assume she just bought it). A person barged her and the perfume went flying. When she bent down to find it she was knocked over by the crowd. People were just trampling on her!

It is crazy! At our local mall about a year ago, a soda machine nozzle popped off and everyone thought it was a gunshot. So many people were harmed and trampled in the mass hysteria. It is crazy how things like this happen.

Hi Danelle! Wow! What an INTERESTING story, AND BRILLIANT observation. I love the subject of group thought, how and when it manifests, dynamics and consequences. I find it very interesting they all broke away one by one. Especially the sisters who left together, but one didn't want to be with her sister. Maybe when one broke, the others felt on some level they had to be away from the group. My former boyfriend, who is a psychiatrist told me about a patient ( I'm going to change the details just a bit) of his who had a rare condition recognized in DSM IV, and was on SSI disability because she thought she was George Washington for about 2 or 3 weeks a year. The rest of the year she was okay. Talking about it I saw how you could not hold any job, if for a period once a year, you thought you were George Washington. Even at 7/11 you just can't be crazy for 3 weeks.

His brother was a policeman and they had already embarrassed the family by being in the news. Our media in Australia is very polite and careful not to ruffle feathers. There's also money in that property. They were taking drugs. You don't get schizophrenia for a couple of days then recover. It doesn't happen. Catatonic states? I have ptsd and her into terrified states....I disassociate. ...but it's not ptsd because we don't imagine or hallucinate....we certainly don't flee into the night ir into the unknown. This doesn't for any mental disorder.....it does fit drug psychosis perfectly

I think I experienced folie à deux before. Back in 2018, I was in a friend group, and one of us (let's call him/her Lilith) told us that (s)he had telekinetic powers and because of this she was in a lab run by the government (All of us except one lived in the US). We all were freaked out and for 7 months, we were scared because that now that we knew about this secret lab trying to breed supersoldiers out of people with powers, we would get kidnapped by search parties directed by the people who run the underground lab (Lilith's dad was one of them). I remembered drastic changes in my behavior, knowing that I'd get taken from my home and forced to help evil scientists do torturous experiments on innocent people who were mostly kids. Eventually, we found out that Lilith's story was fake, and she told it just to get us to stay friends with him/her. I've had anxiety ever since, but I'm doing better now due to medication.

Camping with a couple of friends as a teenager - I was having a great time until my buddy said, "Dude, what was that? Did you hear that?" I had an instant adrenaline rush but it wore off in a minute, though I found myself talking quieter and listening for sounds in the woods. When my other friend said, "Wait! I think I heard it too!" I was terrified the rest of the night and could hardly sleep. If one of them had screamed, I'd have wet myself and run away yelling for my mommy. We were in our backyard.

I have to say, growing up on a small farm, and knowing farmers with big farms, I wouldn’t completely rule out that someone might have threatened them or tried to extort them/rob them. I’ve seen farmers blackmail other farmers for money and land. I’ve seen hundreds of thousands of dollars of cattle stolen from people. Farming can be pretty dark and stressful. But that’s more like in Texas and by the Mexican border. Not in Australia?!
