The fact that the sketch survived that once in a lifetime airing and is available in 2021 is amazing.

In Living Color, Martin and Living Single put FOX on the map now they act as if it never happened .

I still watch In Living Color reruns. It’s still funny to this day and in my opinion waaay funnier than Saturday Night Live. ❤️

Crazy because I'm 38 years old and I can clearly remember watching that episode.

Kim Coles is hilarious “I’m a lady can I get a paper bag and a straw” I didn’t get the joke as a kid but I remember my dad losing it.

What’s sad is we will never see a tv show like this again

Keenan & his brothers were genius writers & ALL the performers on that show were outstanding! I look back now & they had VISION as comedic artists...SALUTE!!!

The sad thing is if this sketch was on Family Guy today no one would say anything and FOX wouldn't care

Tracy Ullman show, which led to the Simpsons, Martin, In Loving Color, and Married With Children is what put Fox on the map.

"Here's the skit" proceeds talking for the next 5 min without showing the skit.

It's funny how they banned this skit but showed Married With Children for a decade even though women were boycotting them

It's moments like this when you realize how much things have changed and not necessarily for the good either. We need more raw authentic Black sitcoms...Definitely true or 100% true?

Interesting they didn't want to share such a "common'' thing in hollywood during the time. They didn't have a problem doing it...just didn't want it satirized. .

Can we all take a moment to acknowledge how criminally underrated In Living Color is, in the history of TV sketch comedy? I mean, that show was a BEAST! The sketches, the stars is made, it should be talked about WAY more these days.

It's not a coincidence that In Living Color and Mad TV has the best and riskiest comedy skits ,but both eventually got shut down with bland SNL still getting airplay.

In Living Color was the show that everyone rushed home to watch and laughed about it the next day at work. 👍🙂😁

Never knew that episode was banned! I saw it as a kid when it aired originally, my family taped that show religiously. Rape isn't funny...but that sketch WAS funny...the world is a dark place find the humor where you can even if it's dark humore

They should un-ban all hidden sketches after 30 years have passed.

Funny, that this show was definitely before it's time because honestly nothing is not off limits in television anymore.

I loved that show, it was so funny but, I absolutely agree with the networks decision that specific episode should not have been aired. It went a little too far left at the end. It was funny without that ending.There are just some things that shouldn’t be exploited for laughs. I still think it is a hilarious show and I still watch reruns :-)

I remember watching the "Bolt 45" sketch when it was originally aired. It was funny AF then, and it's still funny AF. The only real creepy moment in the whole sketch was the moment he threw her leg over. If they had left that one move out, the censors may have thought about it, but there were so many other pressing-up-to-the-line-but-not-quite-crossing-it moments on that show, it would have just rolled through with the rest.

I think Keenan was a genius and made the Bolt 45 sketch on purpose so every other sketch would look tame by comparison. he knew how to pick his battles alright.

I kind of remember that airing. They eventually aired that skit that was supposed to be aired too. In Living Color was ground breaking. There is no match for it, even now. I wouldn't be afraid to bet that if the reruns were to return to network tv, they'd have a ratings boom.

The cast of that show were pure magic together.

I taped the entire first season because I feared they would cancel and not rerun episodes.

In Living Color and Martin were shows we use to come in to watch. We didn't want to miss an episode. We use to talk about the episodes the next day at school....Aww, especially when In Living Color did Homey Clown and Fire Marshall Bill. 😂

That show was hilarious. From a time when everyone wasn't so sensitive.

I remember this episode very well, I used to watch this every Sunday night at 8pm....one of my all time favorite shows for sure...

In the 80s my little brother and I used to love Sunday nights. Parker Lewis Cant Lose, The Simpsons, In Living Color, and Married With Children all right in a row. 2 hours of killer comedy.

I remember watching it when it originally aired. Iirc, I may have it on VHS as well. If I come across it, I will be sure to upload it.

I did see the original broadcast episode, but not surprised it was cut from reruns. It got past the network censors once somehow, we got our yuks, but it was over the cliff for network content.

I Love in living color. I've watched every episode numerous times. One of the few-tv-shows, that could actually make me Laugh-out-Loud. They pushed the envelope to unchartered waters. No holds barred Comedy. I still watch it in 2021. This show was Genius. oNe LovE from NYC

In the 1990's when drinking Malt Liquor was the "it" thing to do in the hoods and ghettos across America me and my brother KNEW this was some type of gov't trick to further harm black people, so we never drank any malt liquors EVER (and we were 10000000% correct as we all know) . One day in the mid 90's a friend of mind who's father worked at Anheuser-Busch invited me and my brother to the processing plant near the town we lived in to see how beer (Budweiser, Michelob and Bud Light) were made which was fascinating THEN he told us the waste residue that is normally discarded was SOLD to makers of Malt Liquor brands (he did not say what specific brands) to make Malt Liquor. Keep in mind this older white gentleman TOLD me and my brother (both young black men at the time) big name beer makers were selling their discard/waste by product to companies that make malt liquors and this was horrible and specifically targeted the black community. He said to me and my brother ask your self why for $2.00 (back then) you can by 64oz of beer and why was and still today is Malt Liquor MOSTLY and ONLY in MOST cases sold in black and brown neighborhoods ONLY. I wish our black people would WAKE UP and stop being the test mice and rats for this gov't.

The irony is his son was later on a Fox series, which ran for 8 seasons.

I remember this, wild that it was accidentally aired. Yeah, the idea that the woman is passed out and could no way consent to anything was not funny to me then or now. Although it did not keep me from watching the show or any of their movies the Wayans family’s made.
