Toni Childs is an ICON. Also I remember when she spoke out on colorism in the show and I can really relate as a dark skin girl. We need to see more bougie high class beautiful dark skin girls like her.

I grew up on this show. I’ve been actually rewatching the episodes because that’s how much I loved this show. I’m SUPER disappointed that no one has been able to fund this project. Girlfriends was truly underrated just like living single.

This was one of the best shows and nothing has replaced it. I watched Sex in the city and it was ok, but did not hold a candle to Girlfriends. It was magnificent.

Unpopular opinion but William was the best character on the show because he always let them know how crazy they all were. He was the voice of reason. He even said that there was nothing good about Toni and there really wasn't. I was trying my best to find one redeeming quality about Toni when rewatching it on Netflix and there is none. She may have been gorg but her personality took that away for me.

Jill Marie Jones definitely has the Bringem Back Quality! I personally didn't stop until I found out what else she was doing or had done besides girlfriends. I agree with Jill Marie that the break from girlfriends was good for her career and will only serve to make Girlfriends more interesting if revisited! If the L word could get revamped and a reality show, why can’t Girlfriends? Showtime executives are missing out rn. They can develop a storyline with a 10 year time skip, starting with a flashback to Aaron coming home to Joan, and the lives of the other characters. If they write Lynn to be strong character with a thriving music career like the L word did with Alice, it’ll provide balance to the friend group remaining strong.

I saw every episode numerous times. My favorite character was Lynne (Persia White).

The fact that Tracie Ross is the only one to really be casted in more prominent roles and shows after the show is very telling. The fact that no one in Hollywood wants to fund a reboot also says a lot.

It was a good wholesome, real life and sense of humor tv show!

I referred to the show as “the black sex in the city” I loved Girlfriends so much, great topics of discussions and I loved everyone’s on the show. Because of Will, my boyfriend would sometimes watch the show, he thought Will’s part was creative and made him so funny. I agree! I hate how it ended so abruptly, leaving us hanging. I just wish they could come back and give us that happy ending we so desired.
