true jackson was def one of those shows that had perfect casting. keke brought such an insane amount of charisma and energy to the show that nobody else could've even come close to

The way I wanted to be her so bad but to see another black girl get they own show was amazing and she definitely carried the series and it was well casted

I still randomly listen to the theme song every few months. Nick really had no business going off like that 😩

One of my favorite running gags on the show is the one where Kopelman is always kicked out of meetings. "Kopelman, OUT!"

It wasn't actually planned to be a sitcom at first; when Nickelodeon first ordered the project in the summer of 2007, it was supposed to be a dramedy combining elements of _The Bold and the Beautiful,_ _Entourage,_ and _The Hills._ It was also intended to be a starring vehicle for Victoria Justice after the end of _Zoey 101_ (where she was Lola). The failure of many of The Nick's dramas around this time led to _True Jackson, VP_ becoming what it is, with Justice being moved over to a sitcom of her own, titled _Victorious._

Keke Palmer is very underrated when it comes to child stars, as for True Jackson, it kinda felt like the ugly duckling of that late 2000s/early 2010s Nick lineup. The theme song though gotta be top 5 in Nick history 🔥

Man I can't believe this show turns 15 this year (yes I did remember that clothing line. I even had a couple of outfits from that line in middle school). Low-key the late 2000s did Keke Palmer in the dopest way possible! What with tv movies like Jump In! (Disney Channel, 2007) and Rags (also Nickelodeon, 2012). I also randomly remember the second season premiere that had freaking Justin Bieber and some other "rising star" band in the same episode. That was dope asf! This definitely had the best casting and acting for a Nickelodeon show! I admit that I only kinda remember the series finale (I was really busy that day and caught like bits and pieces that day). Man Nickelodeon really did this show dirty.

True Jackson VP was and still is one of my all-time favorite shows. I was devastated when it was canceled! Sadly it kinda made sense though. I remember barely hearing about it from my peers and many not remembering it at all later on. I don't understand why it wasn't more popular but it wasn't. I will always love it though.

I loved this show as a little kid. I felt represented as a young black girl seeing another black girl on screen that loved fashion as much as me. I still love fashion and plan on pursuing the fashion industry.

Loved the video. "True Jackson VP" was a good show and a ratings hit but since it wasn't a Schneider bakery product nor SpongeBob, it got lost in the shuffle and mistreated by Nick. Sad, but still a favorite. Also, Mighty Ghost, if you don't mind, can you do videos on "House of Anubis", "H20: Just Add Water" and "Life With Boys" next? Those are three other Nick shows that were mistreated and rarely aired on Nick as well due to them "playing favorites" starting around that time.

I somehow remember a few actual lines from this show. I had clicked a couple of videos relevant to Keke Palmer, so I think that’s how this video had gotten recommended to me. I myself also wondered what happened to this show. I did remember some of the special guests as well, felt a bit strange to see “characters”(actors that play multiple characters but one is more well known) from other shows in this one, although that’s not uncommon, I guess. Great video.

Jimmy was one of my favorite things about this show. He was eye candy for me. I did enjoy the whole arc with the whole True and Jimmy thing and company no dating policy. Not sure if I would call it an arc but I would watch the show waiting for that be resolved.

I respectfully disagree about Ryan, he is really funny in my opinion. I actually laughed so hard at the "I thought I saw Batman's car in front of the school" joke. I know Ryan's not all that bright, but he is my favorite character in the show (along with True). I originally started watching this show because a lot of people told me that Ryan is similar to another character I love which is Hudson from Jessie (and he's actually played by same actor). I don't know, I guess I can understand why people don't like Ryan, but I honestly like him a lot. He and True are two of my favorite Nickelodeon characters of all time. He makes me laugh. I always love those really goofy and over the top characters. To me, him being so over the top and incompetent doesn't annoy me. I think I have a very high tolerance for overly goofy, incompetent, and over the top characters. Again, I respect your opinion, I know we all have different opinions about things and that's totally okay! I agree with you about Amanda. At first, I didn't like her that much either, but as she started being less mean to True, I started to like her more. I absolutely LOVE Max. I adore how kind and caring of a boss he is and I love how he is like a mentor to True. The moments where he gives her advice are some of my favorite moments in the whole show. I also like how goofy and eccentric he is as well. Although there is one thing I'm confused about - if he hates Kopelman so much, then why doesn't he just fired him lol? Also, Oscar is a lot funnier than I thought he would be at first, he's now one of my favorite characters in the show as well. Jimmy is an okay character. I like his relationship with True. And now to talk about True - her character is the best. She's super kind, hardworking, and creative. She is definitely one of Nickelodeon's best main characters ever. She's awesome. I don't know how else to explain it. She's just awesome. She always tries her hardest at everything and I love how she makes mistakes, but doesn't give up. She goes through a lot of things, but she still manages to be happy and optimistic. I also think the way she's willing to help Amanda even when Amanda treats her poorly shows how amazing True really is. I think that True Jackson VP is one of the best Nickelodeon shows ever. I really like the whole concept of the show and how the story focuses on True dealing with all the issues of working a job in corporate America. I didn't watch this show as a kid, I just started watching it this year and I absolutely enjoy watching this show. I think people should give it a chance if they haven't watched it. I disliked Ryan as much as the next person, but at least he has some bit of personality, a character trait at least. Whereas Jimmy was just boring as all heck, he just existed to be "the cute guy" with no thoughts or personality at all. It bugged me so much! 10:24 I think she was very much the ADHD character back in the day XD (So was Ryan but in a much more stereotypical boy way) Looking back on it now it makes sense, smart, 'hyper', and distracted unless interested by something she loves (or could be hyperfixation). Maybe that's why little me related so much to her haha I'm 24 now and just got diagnosed with ADHD last year.

I really liked this show when it was airing. I thought the show was a bit more mature than other kids shows during that time. I think my only criticism is that Lulu is played by a Filipina, but for some reason during this time period, children’s Hollywood likes to deny Filipinos from being Filipino. This is seen in Mighty Med (filipina actress is an alien of all things), high school musical the musical the show (Olivia is now proud Filipina representation in main stream mediaaaa) and literally anything I’ve seen Anna Maria Perez de Tagle in. Also Lea Salonga is an amazing Filipina singer but her most famous roles are a French girl (Les mis), Jasmine, and Mulan. Sure the character probably did not need to be played by a Filipina actress but they could’ve sprinkled it in her lines once they knew they had a Filipina actress. They’ve been a bit better with this over the years but it feels like settling right now. We deserve better representation of other cultures whether it’s a one off line. You may not remember it if it’s not your culture but the kid who resonates with the actor who looks just like them and comes from a similar cultural background will
