Hello, I'm sorry people can be so unbelievably cruel. I have not been around for the last year because my husband passed away. I lost a lot of my way between my husband and developing heart problems and finding a normal.path. it's been a rough year. Life is too short. Please focus on those of us who are here to watch and learn..I appreciate you. I'm getting into gardening again and I am 71,.😊
I miss the "Kentucky Song". I miss laughing in the front yard holding a leaky compost toilet. I miss your kids, who are adorable and well-rounded. I miss your gardening videos... We miss the old Stivers Homestead. Things seemed to have changed with the move and quitting your job. Maybe you are more stressed out now trying to keep up. Totally understandable . I hope you both find your way. You seem like two good people going through life's ups and downs .
I really enjoyed the long videos and I miss them. I don't do FB or IG, so I won't be able to support you there. I understand that YT can be very cruel, I heard another channel say you have to have thick skin. I'm very tender hearted and could never do YT because I would most likely cry everyday. Do what you must do for the safety of yourselves and your babies, that's what's most important, stay blessed ❤
@@irony11 Same is true of RU-vid. My comments are frequently censored here. I'm tired of it. I feel like I have my own designated thought police and censorship team hovering in the background and deleting comments I leave. There are times when I can't even figure out why they deleted a comment. I've come to conclude someone behind the veil hates my point of view, and maybe even me, personally, and the feeling is mutual.
I have been watching you for years. I am not on the other platforms. I despise facebook so that is not an option for me. Very sad that this happened. I loved watching the gardening, cooking, animals, family, pool time and all the fun craziness. God bess!
I’m sorry that you and your children and you experienced meanness on this platform. Maybe because I’m older, (70), and connected to farming and relationship before all this social media existed. But, I do think SM has eroded what real relationship means.
I agree. I sometimes think that we know too much of what other people think and believe, and that it might not match our own values and beliefs. I remember the days when politics and religion were tabu subjects in social situations. Now, through social media, we know exactly who someone votes for, what religion they observe (or don't) and how they feel about others. This has ruined friendships, torn families apart, and fostered distrust in our country.
Your thick skin comment really hit me in my viewers heart. I’ve lived that emotional wall and I hated who I became… not a content creator, but many years prior to YT. My heart broke for you both with that reality. As a YT viewer I found my life was so wrapped up in the videos and creators lives I had no time to live my own. I literally cut out of viewing and have had to recreate my own life again, mend my real life relationships! I’ve loved your channel for years as I have many others. I have to be more selective to allow time to do any viewing… and I want to follow you all! God bless you and it’s the YOU I fell in love with… you’re both so real.
I love your account. So many people nowadays have no contact with people who live the way we were originally purposed to live. Like having a garden, canning, and caring for animals. Your account is a beautiful way to spend time with people who know the sorts of things that our grandparents knew. With so many broken families, grandparents knowledge has been lost. How to grow and preserve food etc. Your marriage is a good example to others. I am a JW and see a lot of broken lives and pain in my visits with my neighbors. I’m sorry people who are “ fierce, without love of goodness, not open to any agreement” have disturbed your peace. Your family didn’t deserve that. Y’all are a positive influence in a dark world. I haven’t seen any other homesteading channel say a word about you all, and I follow a lot! I’m so sorry that you’re feeling this sense of persecution (for lack of a better term)😔. I know a lot of content creators just shut those folks down … delete and block!! This is YOUR channel, and any naysayers can just bugger off! I will tell you one thing I really enjoyed and have missed … your weekly livestreams. They were so funny, and FUN. You’d talk about all the crazy stuff that had happened that week and everyone would be otfl!! Listen, I can’t pretend to know what y’all have been through, but I really believe if you just stop trying to change things up to please any and everyone - just DO YOU - things would balance out. Just my unsolicited two cents 🥴.
I am one who watched for long time but stopped when it was about government /fear / etc.....also quit watching a couple other well known channels because that became the main topic on theirs also.........with that said it isn't ok for people to post personal negative comments and in our world it is so easy to do on social media.........Best wishes for your family

Agree. My list of channels I watch has shrunk considerably and my focus has changed as to what I am watching as well. Some channels were starting to sound like the Fox news channel.
How terrible for you and your family. It is hard to understand how people can be so sick. So many unhappy people in the world. Do what you need to do for your family. It’s good to see your faces 👏🏼 Just wanted to share some feedback not that it’s what you’re looking for, just my opinion. And I mean no harm, just an observation. I think you guys just lost focus. The first few years you shared information that was useful by being resourceful and living this lifestyle on such a small budget. So many people could relate to that, because let’s face it, we’re all struggling. I feel like when you guys started spending big money on toys and things that weren’t obtainable by your average viewers, some began to question things. Now I’m not saying you shouldn’t take vacations or buy yourself toys at all, because yall do deserve it. Again this is just my opinion, which doesn’t amount to a hill of beans lol But I feel like you lost touch with your audience. The second downfall as the constant push for the products. Which I get it, that is your income, your livelihood. But every video you guys posted was surrounded by products. Yes they’re amazing and yes that’s how you make your living but why did most people leave cable tv? commercials…. and the cost just wasn’t worth the return anymore. I and I think along with many others miss the regular content, the nothing special, learn something new today content.. I understand I don’t have my own channel so I cannot speak for what it’s like on the other side of the camera. But I really wish you would reconsider, just take a step back and get back to the basics. I hope this comes across as constructive criticism and not bashing, because I would love to see yall back on as a regular. Many blessings to yall and take care ❤️

I enjoy the long video's and don't use any of the other platforms...sorry, but the others are too much hands on. RU-vid is my go to to watch videos. I can multi-task while watching a long video. I watch and keep up with a lot of homesteaders and do the same with them. Keeping up with everyone on all the platforms is way too time consuming and hands on. My favorite videos are watching the jobs people do on their homestead, their interaction with their animals, building pens for the animals, how they garden and their successes and failures that I learn from. This is your channel and platforms and you can do what works for you and I have to do the same. Good luck to you.

I am sorry to hear what you are going through. My guess is you are suffering from trauma by being hurt to the core. I understand that and will pray for you and your family to be restored to true peace and happiness. We live in a world now that has flipped upside down so keep that in mind. It's been a while since I've seen your content. I've been busy and moving out to the country, Middle Tennessee, with limited internet. We have rain today, and my husband had to head outside, came in drenched. He wanted to make tea. We searched the tea drawer and found one of yours, Creme Brule. It was still delicious after almost a year. I ordered more today. Our daughter is a digital artist, in anotherstate with great internet. 😅 Of course, her parents love her content, but every time we encourage her to do more content, she doesn't. Now, I think I understand why. Thank you for your insights.

I've watched your videos for years now. I don't often leave comments, but I have really enjoyed your videos, especially the stories. One of my favorite videos, is the one you two I believe were on vacation, and Zack had a battle with Jen's homemade wine and loss.😂😂😂. I've love seeing the respect you have for eachother and the love for the viewers. The fact that your different from other homesteading channels in my book is a plus. It's to bad technology hasn't advanced more in the editing field, so it would only take an hour or two, but sadly that is not the case!😢 stay safe! Love you guys!
