Half sister here!! It has been an extremely and emotional 6 days for our family. Losing my dad at 18 was something I never expected. But so grateful for all prayers and love we have received. Zach has been there for me and the best big brother I can ever ask for. I swear he is just like our dad! Love you Zach!

So sorry for y’all’s loss. Death is hard. Grief is hard. It is definitely a process. Lost my momma and daddy 52 hrs apart in December 2022. It’s still hard, but I have been able to smile knowing they did not want to be apart after being married for 72 years! I love them always and will miss them forever! I lost my dad the morning of Memorial day this year. He is a veteran!! It is hard times for sure 😢. One day at a time it must be. I haven't been able to get my garden going this year. I don't care how late I will grow something. I'll be happy just to have tomatoes 🍅!

Sorry to learn of your loss. I empathise with you. Lost my dad when I was 26 and he was 55, also from heart attack. At 73, I still miss him. Just after his passing I read one of those little anonymous quips at the bottom of the page in a Reader's Digest ... and it has stuck with me .... "When someone dies, the relationship struggles on in the survivor's mind." You may find this to be the truest thing you ever read.

I’m so sorry for your loss Zach. I understand the title well. I lost my 1st granddaughter Kailey in 2008 just moments before they could save her. My daughter had an emergency c-section. She. Would have been 16 on may 21st. It’s still hard especially during may and on her birthday. I’ve lost my mother, & grandparents but Kailey’s death has always been the hardest.

I’m so sorry. My papa passed and then 10 days later 11 pm the night before his funeral my mama passed! We had plan B ready as we kind of knew this may happen. She passed of a broken heart 💔 . So tough to be a member of the no parent club. It is still an odd feeling. Please take care and hug a little tighter.

My mom passed away May 17th here at home 75 yrs old 7 & 1/2 months after stroke. Never recovered from it and I was her caregiver 24-7. Her family is from Elkhorn City Kentucky and my sisters and I are taking her Urn there in June for her sisters and brother. You feel like your hearts been ripped out,ur numb too! Our beds were slightly weedy, but our greenhouse 24x24 was full of weeds AND junked up. We finally got ahead of it this month!!! Whew! What a good feeling!!!

Lol, that's exactly what I did let the goats weed it. Then they broke in to my Dad's garden that had carrots and onions from the winter plus volunteer sunflowers. It is what it is. Sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad to a car accident in February a day after his birthday. It's hard and different. Prayers for your family.

Tomorrow is 35 Years since my DAD passed from Cancer! It was so sad and yet Beautiful when he passed! He was Sooo Happy at the last few moments, he seemed to Glow!

We just buried our 35 year old grandson on May 4th after a 13 year battle with brain cancer. He was our first grandchild and was a father of two children aged 12 and 15. Our hearts are broken forever until we meet him again.

i bought a mommy goat and 2 week old baby goats at auction. 3 days later the mommy goat developed sudden bloat and died it was very quick. i am crushed. im so sorry about your dad. and your right, death is never fair.

Sorry for the loss of your Dad. Prayers for your family. We had a storm here in Florida over 2 weeks ago. 80 mph winds, little roof damage, and all the neighbors lost trees. No one lost their home, some outside buildings, but people were okay. Never take one thing for granted, and love your neighbor as yourself. God Bless.

I too have been thru 2 hurricanes and I promised God in that last one if he would let me live I'd never ever do that again.

That meal looked fantastic! I don't care for seafood but I would love that with chicken! I am sorry for your loss. I, too, have lost quite a few family and friends unexpectedly in recent years. This includes my mother and father. I get it. It so sucks. Take your time. Real life first. Do what is best for you and your family. The garden is the best place to be, right now, in this moment. Take it out on that garden. In a few months, all of that angst will turn into something beautiful! A place of reflection! Find a spot to honor your Dad and plant a things that he liked.
