I never watched this guy. But there are big comparisons here with Etika such as being super edgy and cutting people off and having this "untouchable god" persona. I just hope he gets his mind right and he doesn't end up taking his life like Etika. I know it hurt me to bits when we lost Etika because of how much he inspired me so I can't imagine the feeling of losing one of the OG's of the 2K community. Hope he gets well soon.
He's having a breakdown and delusions of grandeur... He needs someone to get to him in person before it's too late! We're powerless to help him. He unfollowed me and replied to my dm with complete nonsense and has blocked multiple people who have reached out to help. I really do hope he's okay because from my experience with him in person, he was a really nice guy!
@@EF-xf8sh he's almost certainly not being hacked. He's said some things that I'm pretty sure someone that hacked him wouldn't know about. However we can still pray that it is the case and it's just a hacker trying to ruin him
I don't think you guys realize how tough Gento had it coming up, his family kicked him out of his home when he was 16ish, and then now they're trying to get back in contact with him (which he obviously rejected). I feel really bad because nobody understands his background and how nice of a guy he really is, and doesn't understand why he is acting like this.
Something I just thought of. He’s either acting crazy to make himself relevant again (cause he fell off heavy in recent years) or he’s having an actual mental breakdown and we’re gonna have another Etika story sadly.

We can’t help him if this is a Etika restart in my opinion due to the fact that Etika still khs even after getting help what I believe is that there committing suicide because of the idea of needing help overwhelming them to the point where they can’t take it anymore
This isn’t something we or anyone can help him with if this is a Etika 2.0 situation the reason is because Etika still ended his life after getting help multiple times meaning if it were to be a Etika 2.0 situation no one can help him he has to find a way to deal with it on his own

I've been subscribed to him for 4 years, I really don't want to say this but I really think this man has spiraled into madness. I hope his family will be able to help him out cuz he clearly isnt listening to his friends or the online community
I think we need the 2k community (Such as Cash, Shakedown, Chris Smoove, 2HYPE, etc.) to bring more awareness to this situation. Just due to the fact that Gento is an OG and someone we all respect(ed). We don’t want him to be the next Etika. I genuinely want him to get help cuz he seemed like a good dude from what I saw in his videos. (Don’t forget to pray for him as well)
I remember there was like an hour long video a year or 2 ago. In it he was crying and talking about embracing what you have while its there but i never saw all of it since he deleted it after a day
The guy who has the biggest of smiles has the darkest of problems. Hope he takes a break from youtube to find himself again, he seems like a proper cool guy

He is fake 💀I played Gento in myteam 2k13 and he cheesed the whole game just to win by 5 points but on RU-vid he kept talking about how ppl exploited the game ...I lost respect for him after that day
He's seemed to be doing well, but he's in the middle of another manic episode now, posting instagram vids with tears in his eyes. Wish he had family around him to help.

I do remember that video. If I remember correctly, he was talking about someone close to him just died. He kept the video up for a day or two, then deleted it & went back to dropping 2K content.
This is what appears to be someone losing their mind. I know all too well because my brother committed suicide years back and this is how he started talking at one point. Not making sense at all and very similar sentence structure if that makes any sense. Someone contact this man's family and get him some help...before it is too late. Mental health is no joke.

Man I used to watch his 2k videos dating back to nba 2k16 especially his pack openings. Starting from his very first pack opening in 2k16, I have now become a fan of him. But now, its a damn shame that we see a change of his character lately. We all have personal issues/struggles including myself. Even though it may be tough, there's always a bright side to everything and its just about finding it. I hope he finds his bright side. I also hope he does some soul searching and get his mind right as well before its too late.
We cannot let another OG of RU-vid go. This is another Etika situation, it’s much darker than anyone can possibly imagine. His family, friends, and supporters need to help him as much as they can, because he could lose himself to his own mind.

Men it's sad seeing gento like this. I'm a subscriber of him since 200ksubs and I use to watched all of his videos. Pray for gento, I hope we get to see the old gento.
What's strange is how Y'all thought you knew him cause you seen him on screens. Once he changes what's on the screen, you think he's gone crazy or on dope and liquor. Maybe he's comfortable being who he is and the guy you liked was the act. You don't know these folks in the slightest, only what they broadcast to you.
Anybody who has any knowledge of mental health knows visions of grandeur and feeling untouchable is a major red flag for serious illness. For everyone telling him to get help and he is talking nonsense you are helping. He needs constant reminder of the real world and his actual self, or else he’ll get lost.
