a couple years ago a beaver brought the water in my pond up a couple feet. After removing the beaver I opened a channel by hand, as the water rushed out you could here the ice booming for hours as it collapsed back down to normal levels. In just a month 1 beaver had dropped dozens of trees and brought the water up 2 feet. I like Beavers but they don't follow direction at all.
Forget drain,i want beavers back on my property,i got 2 massive dry ponds.Id love to flood them again.I want the fish, moose, ducks, mink all back.Everything relies on beaver.
Forget it. These pests ruined my pond, dug lot of holes, ripped the dam off and drained the pond almost completely. Now that is ex pond. Not to mention that they had destroyed most of trees
I believe it prevents the culvert from being totally plugged shut by big trees. Otherwise they would have a heck of a time getting into it and digging it out
Yep. Unfortunately it was doing major damage to property. Not to mention possibly sinking some railroad tracks. But you probably know all about the damage they can do right?
Why didn't you clear the debris around the culvert? At least it would keep flowing for a bit longer and most of the work has been done. A stitch in time saves nine as they say. Liked the filming under the ice though.
