What happens after we die? Here is the most honest answer.  

I find Near Death Experiences to be very interesting because there seems to be something going on there. There is evidence to support there is something going on. What it is - not sure, but something seems to be going on there.

I'm a guy in my 40es. Some years ago, i underwent a throat surgery. The doctor told me that i might dream a bit. Then he gave me anesthesia, and then everything became black, and then quickly after that, i woke up, yelling hysterically, "An angel, an angel, she's an angel!" and then i saw the staff looked visible annoyed and distraught by me, and they were rolling me away. I don't actually remember seeing anything at all, though, only my own reaction. Shorthly, after that, i became severely depressed, so much so that i was so close to calling someone to come get me and give me some sedatives before i would do something stupid to myself. It's hard to explain other than i could absolutely just not stand being in my body. It felt horrible being alive and being in this body. Some months after that, it slowly went away, and i feel almost completely normal now.

If we die and it all ends, it means life is like a game of Monopoly: you win all the properties, railroads, and houses but in the end, everything just goes back in the box and it doesn't matter--there is no purpose to life because it would mean nothing nor would it matter when you die.

When I hear, "could it be...", it means he really has no idea what he is talking about. 🤔

I think exploring the idea of where we came from is a good place to start searching for answers.I think if we can learn more about where we came from,it can teach us more about where we will go.We also have a highly developed sense of language and its been said that language is tied directly to conscious thought.The more developed the language,the more developed our conscious thought.In my mind,the idea that we are the only beings with a highly developed language, lends itself to an idea of a spiritual journey and that we are the product of real life magic not done by some illusionist but by someone or some thing that created us.

Enjoyed your observations. Agnosticism is a good place to start. Then, if you earnestly yearn to know the truth of God's existence that will happen for you, and without subjecting yourself to the assumed authority of others. It is also possible to know God's existence directly but that is more rare. The foolish are the close minded with the hubris to claim God doesn't exist.

It's not just an atheist perspective you said it yourself it's a scientific perspective as well believe whatever you want to believe if it helps you get over your fear of death but the truth is whether you want to believe it or not when you die you cease to exist some people a lot of people I would imagine have a hard time accepting that but it's the truth even in the Bible the Old Testament God declared himself for you are dust and dust you shall return to do you remember where you were before you were born all the time that passed all the people that lived and died near-death experiences are exactly that near death those people didn't actually die scientific Studies have been done on cadavers using a CAT scan to monitor electrical activity in the brain after someone has been pronounced dead and they know that there's electrical activity in the brain for up to 6 hours so you may have a vivid dream and experienced unexplained phenomenon such as extrasensory perception or Out of Body Experience but make no mistake about it as your brain cells begin to suffocate and die everything will eventually go black and you will return to the darkness from which you came before you were born
