I haven't played this yet. But from what I've seen it makes you understand vass's perspective more makes you wonder if Jason was the villain all along. Specially how crazy Jason was. Or would it be citra because she was a master manipulator. Used both of them like pawns. I long for a version or timeline of this game where they just teamed up and defeat her.

Vaas turned from a drug lord maniac into a person who tried to stop Jason from being under Citra's control into a person who wouldn't stop getting the voices out of his head.

This DLC is just next level.. brings so much memories... But it's really interesting to see Jason as a villian .

6:04 I find this line interesting because Vaas was right about Jason going crazy and going down the same path as him in FC3 and yet here Jason embodies his self-doubts and he mocks himself for not being as normal as Jason? So is Vaas jealous of Jasons past life where he had family and friends? Since he always talked about family/ people close to you and how he admired Jason for sticking to them in FC3 and this DLC also shows how Citra used him despite being his sister and how that weighed on him.

A line of dialogue that I got that I didn’t see here was “When I said nail me to the cross and let me be reborn, I did not mean it literally”.

I liked this so much more than the Pagan one, which is weird because I also love Pagan (haven’t played the Joseph one yet). But idk, something about Vaas & Citra & their environment lent itself perfectly for this type of DLC. Vaas is a violent druggie with multiple undiagnosed mental issues & traumatic experiences, so of course playing through his fucked up mind makes sense. Plus the dying over & over again is perfect for the whole “definition of insanity” thing. I saw him through a much more sympathetic lens & felt for him. Plus he made me fucking laugh lmao. Michael Mando is such a great actor and I can’t imagine anyone else as Vaas. Also whoever plays Jason did a great job at sounding like a pompous villain in this DLC while still sounding like the Jason Brody we met at the beginning of FC3. God I love Far Cry 3.

Honestly the best dlc to ever come to Far Cry, and they say this game is bad.

i didn't understand WHEN this DLC is placed. So Jason comes, Vaas stabs him with the tribal knife, which could've actually been Vaas injecting Jason with a syringe full of lore, etc. Jason defeats vaas and he open his eyes. Now, i think, Vaas was seeing this DLC while you two were ''fighting'' (just two drug addicts having the worst trip of their life on the floor) and Vaas is alive because he got sobber first and remembered the things he saw in the DLC. and that could be a reason of why he lets jason go instead of finish him off (or idk, it's vaas). also, you can't see Vaas's actual body on the floor like Buck or Hoyt. when you wake up citra is there simping you, so yeah, i think it makes sense that or he actually got sobber first and left, or the rakyat forgot or didn't care enough to check if vaas was actually dead.

Far Cry has been one of the most polarising game series to me, for one, I love the stories and the characters, but for the other part I despise Ubisoft's business practices and repeating the same gameplay formula for the Far Cry games, oh well, funny man say definition of insanity.
