I think Connor being an antagonist towards the deviants makes a lot more sense in the story. Connor makes a great antagonist too because the calm delivery of everything he says and how he remains cool and calculated through everything makes him so sinister. If Detroit become human was a movie I could definitely see him as a main antagonist

Fun Fact: The Serial code on Connors coat actually has meaning. Bryan Dechart, his voice actor, got to give Connor his serial code. 313 is the Detroit area code, 248 is the area code of Bryans home town, 317 is his birthday March 17th, in the 51, 5 is how many people are in his family and 1 is to show there is only one true Connor.

Emotions are for the weak (all of this is coming from me that never played the game but i seen the proper Connor path on yt [there is a few hour playthrough of just this path]). Besides if Connor becomes defective then you do not have a real threat to the other defective androids and any story without strife is bland.

I LOVED seeing all the endings the game had to offer, it's a shame it wasn't easier to replay the game because of the terrible checkpoint system!!! I would love to replay from a specific point in a really long chapter, especially the Crossroads chapter, but it makes you start from the very beginning and it's all just very tedious. I ended up looking up walkthroughs to see all the endings there.

yeah, the intro segment of this game is really good imo, it tells you so much about the setting and provides a range of choices that lead up to the confrontation ending in different ways, none of which feel like a purely positive outcome. It also has a lot of shock value due to the player not understanding how androids work in the setting yet, like connor getting shot immediately upon exiting to the balcony or dying in a good chunk of the endings. if more of the game followed smaller scale self contained scenarios like that I think it'd be better for it.

I love this - I always love seeing these kinds of playthroughs with these kinds of games. Most people too busy trying to do the exactly perfect, ideal, 100% pure good ending. Nice to see this type of run. Honestly, these kinds of runs are more likely what would happen IRL than everyone being able to talk it out and perfectly understand.

As connor, i made sure the mission was accomplished cuz i figured his programming is especially done to not be attached to anything. As marcus, i was very pacifist and made reasonable demands and actions. As kara, i was kind. Kara died when she gave the family their ticket back, marcus died at the hands of connor and connor, as always, accomplished his mission.

Yep this is how I played my first time as well. I played Connor as the firm but fair android who does his mission and tries to survive, and although I got close to going deviant it wasn't quite enough. For example I shot the girl at the night club fearing for Connor's life, didn't save Hank at the farm, shot the android at Kamskis etc. What's unfortunate is that you only really get rewarded with a satisfying story if you play Connor as a straight up human, which for me broke the immersion a bit. And Kara I played like you, but at the bus station I didn't discover the Rose car exit and instead accidentally ran into a patrol and died :(

Glad to see D:BH getting some love. Just like its predecessors (especially Heavy Rain) it's an exceptionally weird and awkward game, and it veers between incredible and silly almost at random. I really enjoyed it, and I can't wait to see more.

Mister, you're something else. Although it's super funny, the reasoning behind your so called psychopath routes is not only sound, imho they're the logical approach.
