@user-ib7ug4qo3v is it really a mod though or did they just click the trade button on the bottom left during the dialogue scene? Genuinely asking not being smart or contrary lol. I just have no clue what (if anything) it let's you buy/barter off of him with that option, or if it even exists in his case.
@@betheguy_posts yes. Even if it was a portrait video we would have the same problem. If the video wasn't obscured by the overlay the problem I'm complaining wouldn't be a problem: I would be able to see the text on the game. Let's spin this, Mr pedantic. You're complaining about someone complaining about youtubes design, but the video being cropped is what you're worried about?
"An eye floating in a jar. It's too big to be human..." ...looking at this, his mother was not a human, I think his mother was an Ogre. Would fit his looks too... son of a Ogre, lol.
@@orgixvi3You're overthinking it. That's simply the generic description used with the generic version of the item "eyeball in a jar" on which they slapped the "Mother Dearest" name. Yes, Larian had incredible attention to details. No, they haven't caught them all. Yet.
@davidgomes4408 isnt there a point where you can find out his ribs have been replaced with the original balthazar's ribs? Its definitely possible that he's at least, not fully human
I can't even see the video because there is so much text on the youtube short. It says "view products" where the player text is so i cant see what's being said.
I wondered. I've been a "good girl" and always did the fight as "intended". I gotta start shaking it up a bit huh. Oh and in this room the bastard can't yeet you off the side either. Jesus im dumb. Lol
@@WalkingDeadpool_ the fight in the Shadowfell is honestly too much of a pain if you don’t use turn undead. It’s better to just fight him in the lab, at least you can’t be kicked into the void along with there being a dozen adds.
@codysellers4151 Yeah, I just have trouble not following the expected narrative, I guess. I'm so boring, haha. And I love turn undead. Always keep shadowheart in my party as a cleric, honestly.
True but the skeletons aren't particularly threatening, they're just annoying cause it's a huge waste of time dealing with them after you deal with fatty in the first 3 turns at most.
I honestly don't have the ability to win that fight without cheesing or bum rushing Balthazar. I only have 4 people, if the big skellies kick 2 of my peeps off the edge, it's basically over.
This same type of phenomenon happens when you buy the Orpheus book from the kid in the Creche. He thinks you stole it and unfriends you. I'm not sure they were fully thought out.
Honestly that sounds like a mistake/bug, but whatever. Overall, the game is still great. Act 3 felt rushed or as if the game devs didn't have time to do everything they wanted. The main quests are easily bugged out, but tons of side quest content. Still love the game and feel it did the series justice and redeemed triple A games
My necromancer Tav was like, "Omg, you're the kind of necromancer that gives us a bad name. You have to die. Nice bone collection, though." That wasn't really an option in the game, though, but that's what she said in my head.
I never thought I’d hear Balthazar utter the words “mother-thief”. I also love seeing him bent-out-of-shape over you having his mother after seeing him contemplating raising my halfling as an undead slave, Felix was already frightened enough, thank you very much.
Bro literally just tried to mug you. Sold you something and then tried to beat you up to take it back without giving a refund. I'm reporting him to the Better Baldur Bureau!!!!
The fact that he didn't notice immediately yet got so angry when you told him is so funny to me. Also, he is easier to fight in that room especially if you make the ground icy. He can't handle the ice.
you can also move other party members around while your main/active character is talking with another NPC. swipper no swipping. i think the main reason these things can happen is because the devs and voice actors had fun. things are there and there is a considers reaction to many things IF something related happens.
@@HaddaClu that is true. I meant specifically the "buy" interaction. I've never had a trade dialog with this dude without a mod. And I'm on my 7th playthrough
My game bugged and trigger fight scene for no reason after loading a save in that room (didn't even steal) and I had no more spellslots and no choice but to fight so I found out that if you're unprepared you can still beat them by Climbing up on either of the two platform on the side. They can't climb up except this guy.
i wish there was a way to keep the flesh golem. i love this summon. summoner is no fun to play in this game imo cause there are just not enough cool summons.
I’ve gotta admit, it’s pretty funny for the npc’s that call you a thief when you buy the “stolen” item from them. It’s especially nice for the genie in act 3. You buy his ring of mage hand to win the game and he claims you cheated and are a thief.
TLDR: If you hide, you can pickpocket NPCs. This is depicted in-game by the character crouching and an outline representing the NPCs' viewable areas. You have to remain hidden. Once you are hiding, you'll get the opportunity to pickpocket NPCs. When you do this, it opens the inventory of the NPC as shown. If you're spotted, pick up an item, etc, then the condition will end and you'll stand up. If there are too many NPCs and you're not able to get in position without being spotted, then you can utilize either an Invisibility potion or the 2nd level Invisibility spell. Then you can hide and pickpocket the target. The effect will end the Invisibility condition. There's also the 4th level spell Greater Invisibility. It won't end unless you're spotted by either failing a stealth check or failing sleight of hand during the pickpocket. Bonus: you can also give NPCs items during pickpocket. The weapon Twist of Fortune has an ability to do extra damage based on how much gold they have, though it does consume the gold. There's also a 6th level Wizard spell Otiluke's Freezing Sphere. You can create an orb which will explode after one minute. Enjoy this info and pass it along!
Why is her hair white already at that time? In my run she turned white at baldurs gate. I love this game you can play it so many times from the beginning again.
Unfortunately i never got to experience this. I spoke to him through the skeletons and once we'd killed those glowing eyes he just attacked me immediately with no dialogue or cutscene lol so now he dead
Mol has a similar dialogue where if you bring her the idol in the druid encampment, and then buy it back from her, she will later say it was stolen, and she wants to hire whoever stole it. I was just like...but I bought it, and for no small price either.
Mother thief, mother killer... If I've been given a nickel every time when NPC's call me something related to mothers, I would have two nickels. Which is not much, but strange that it happened twice.
