this happened to me last night but as epilogue john when hes still at pronghorn ranch, the game magically gave me a revolver for this

yea this would softlock the game as u always need a sidearm equipped by default in the game menu

I do it as John ponghorn ranch when he not allowed to have weapons when the mission starts he automatically have cattle revolver 😅
