What happens to pledged shares? Does margin received after pledging shares stay with broker and need to be recovered from Investor Protector Fund? Will the pledged shares be unpledged automatically from CDSL and moved to other broker? What happens to any open F&O positions? (I hold both short term and long term options)

Intraday traders need to keep money in trading account only. Everyday at EOD the money becomes idle.

no,they are just freezed. if you get into negative balance because of your positions,the broker can sell them and can clear negative balance

This doesn't sound as easy as it seems. While working in the Defaulters Section in the Exchange i can say people cry for their own money in the pool account and even for some shares which doesn't gets transferred for 2-3 years

SEBI has decreed the Broker to transfer back any amount lying unutilized in Client Account during the month, this every Broker Obeys Diligently, I presume. I get back my monies regularly.
