This is the most insightful football program I've ever seen or heard. Sportscasters don't know any of this stuff. I'm a regular purple daily listener and this is the best! Well done gentlemen!

dumb QUESTION for Alex and Jeremiah: Did you know when the last time (after actively playing in a NFL game) you walked off the field, that it was actually was the LAST time? Did it end on your terms? Did you take any time to soak it in knowing it was the last time? Great show guys! Absolutely LOVE this show!!!

Would love to show a screenshot of offense and defense alignments (presnap). “Big dime” “nickle” “12 personnel” then explain…why is the defense lining up like this…what are they trying to do. What are the advantages, what are the downsides?

Dumb Questions: What's the player-agent relationship like? E.g. how often do you talk (during negotiations and in-season), what kind of information/intel do they share, how do players select an agent, etc.?

Yo! Loving this content so far! You guys are crushing it. I have often chuckled to myself while watching games and hearing about these grand halftime adjustments. I always figured that there was barely time for eveybody to use the head before it was time to get back out there. Thanks for the insight. On a side(or should I say sideways note, Jeremiah that finger is legendary! Put that thing on display. Mere mortals would’ve had that corrected. Not you though. It should be front and center in every pic you take. Next vid, can you please throw up the shocker with that hand?

Dumb Q: what’s the worst thing you guys had happen or heard of happening at the bottom of a pile during the game?
@smasica

Question: If the defense is taking cheap shots on your QB, like New Orleans did on Favre during Bountygate, what do the O-line players say or do to the defense to stop it? It seemed like the Vikings O-line didn't do or say anything during that game. They just kind of milled around and let it happen. I was shocked at how passive they seemed.

Dumb question, you said you weren’t allowed to say impossible. What are some of the craziest things you aren’t allowed to say or do at practices, and what’s the most memorable instance of where someone broke those rules?

Dumb football question, how difficult is it to balance your finances as a player? Looking forward, all the moves, family and friends. How difficult is it to hold back over spending and balancing how to handle who you can help and people that want more than you are willing to give.

On a captain's uniform, what do the stars under the 'C" mean?
@frozennorth3426
@frozennorth3426 Год назад
The stars count the player’s number of years as a captain, up to 4. A gold “C” (always atop 4 stars) means 5 or more years. The stars used to represent Consecutive years as captain with the Same team. However recently that’s been simplified to Total years as captain with Any team, so a year off of being captain or a change of teams doesn’t reset the count. For example, you can see 2021 photos of Patrick Peterson in his first year with the Vikings wearing a captain’s patch with a regular white C and one star, because he was a captain and it was his first year on the team, but then you can see 2022 photos where his patch had the full 4 stars and gold C (meaning 5 or more), crediting him for his prior years of captainship with the Cardinals as well as it being his second year as a captain with the Vikings. I’m not sure if the signification system rules are that specific at a league level or just conventions that the teams share despite having their own discretion. While all teams must have captains, there are a few that don’t issue/wear patches, and so their captains are simply known to those who know, with no external ornament to show it.
