Meta-humans is a DC thing.... In marvel they are either mutants,non-mutants,(FF,Spidey)inhumans, super soldiers, gods or demigods, excetera and so on...
Some reasons they’re highly efficient: 1. CEO is a businesswoman on the level of Tony Stark and Wilson Fisk. 2. She hired a great staff that includes a really creative problem-solver and deal-maker, an organizational genius, a mad scientist, etc. 3. They get to keep and use lots of superpowered artifacts, tech, and materials they find at job sites. Damage Control is a fun read. There’s an omnibus collection you can get. One of the best comics I ever bought.
I love the idea of a cosmic osha within the marvel universe OSHA: this isn’t up to code in the slightest Galactus: but OSHA: there is no buts, get out and don’t come back till that helmet is up to snuff on current safety standards.
I crack up every time I think about Damage Control facing Galactus like: DC: BRO WTHHH, YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THIS IS? 150 BILLION IN DAMAGE, WITH A B! Galactus: Man my bad, anyway I gotta e- DC: NAH YOU IS PAYIN FOR THIS, IF YOU GOT NO MONEY THEN YOU GOTTA WORK FOR US Galactus: ... And the next scene is Galactus building a city like a kid playing with legos
That’s actually happened a few times. As Penal Labor DC will sometimes employ arrested Villain’s to help in repairing damage. So theirs a chance that the recently arrested villain will have to turn around and fix the mess they caused as part of their sentence
@@jonathanpilcher337 I am just imagining next time the villain come out and cause havoc they will be just doing monetary crimes such as fraud and when the heroes find them to fight they just said something along the lines of "Hey can we take it out the city please? Cause the road paint on xxxxxx street is still wet and I don't want to get back on to penal labor also don't touch that fire hydrant that is brand new from the manufacturer" then the hero goes"OK *total confusion*"
That seems unecessary. A company may try something like that if business is slow and they don’t have much work to do. However, if they have to constantly rebuild a whole city, that is plenty of work for the company. They probably wouldn’t be able to keep up with demand even if they worked 90 hours a week. So, why would they give their business even more work that they can’t keep up with?
@@KaijuKingTheRisen it isn't but they are a company first and foremost , the stories that it happens usually has the wrecking crew , and don't call me Shirley 🤣🤣
@@sufianabuahmad7781In business, there is no point in trying to get more jobs if you can’t keep up with them. You would only get paid if you can actually do them. Therefore, there would be no point in bribing supervillians to create more work for you. It would just make you even more backed up with work.
They need to make a character that works with damage control, wearing a construction grade, Iron Man suit and call him ironworker, it would be hilarious to see him kicking Spider-Man and the Juggernaut off of his job site for not wearing safety protection
I'd like to see other superhero-centered jobs. Like insurance agents telling people their house was covered for villain damage but not alien invader damage. Or scientists who have to catalogue all the lab accidents that give superpowers or create monsters and add that to warning labels
They do that and a bunch of other stuff related to construction, healthcare and more. Like, if The Hulk throws your car at Kang or Shuma Gorath or whatever, or if Hydra blows up your house cause they were shooting at Nova or Thor, or hell maybe you get screwed over by magic during a fight between The Enchantress and Ghost Rider, then Damage Control is who you call for insurance, health care or fixing your house. They do all sorts of stuff, so long as it’s related to superheroes.
So if they can rebuild the city each time after a battle, then why the hell don't they upgrade the buildings to better living conditions and upgrade the buildings to modern code?
There was Spiderman animated show called "the ultimate Spider-Man" they have shown the "damage control" in there and there capability to restore the damage doned by super heros
"Now, being damage control ain't easy. Nearly every week we have to rebuild an entire city, but atleast the paycheck is big. And when I say big, I mean BIG"
This is a great concept created by Dwayne McDuffie and Ernie Colon in the late 1980's, it was a serial in the series Marvel Comics Presents a trio of miniseries and a one shot app in Marvel Age...all available in a TPB omnibus.
I feel like damage control should just be like a marvel god in the background, always watching, always rebuilding, never destroying, miles more powerful than anything else in the entire multiverse
The strongest most powerful superhero in any comic book company is the camera guy. That dude survives everything and anything, and is always anywhere at anytime
Its insane that people still choose to live in cities in any universe with superpowers. Every single fight is in downtown Nyc/LA/Chicago, never any fights in a random field in Nebraska
Spider man's probably asked if he could help, and they would say "oh don't worry, spidey to be honest your messes are probably the least headache inducing and your webs usually are gone in a day or two."@
