It never fails you have that junk for years and as soon as you move it or get rid of it you will need it the next week. You guys take care you have a lot of hard work to do for a few years.
Ryan, it's awesome that you give all the out of state lineman their props... but you and Aaron were big fish in the sea of help needed...love your channel, brother !
Helping the power crew was awesome. I know with every hurricane we have had here in eastern NC, Floyd being the worst in my time. Power was always the hardest thing to do with out. It gets depressing after a long time. 👍👍👍👍
Thank you for giving the lineman the credit due. This has been a wonderful video. Everyone needs to chip and do their part, which includes you and Aaron .
Recovery from nature's fierce forces, The crew waters the steers and the horses Paying their dues, Helping line crews, Perhaps soon there'll be time for golf courses! Again, thanks for inspirational videos. Cheers!
Update from Orlando... We survived the storm with little damage but we have been without power for 48+hours. Getting by and thanks for the comments and well wishes. Shortly after posting this - we got power back YAY
Good job Ryan and don’t forget to drink 🍺 a couple or more for me to !! I know the linemen appreciated the extra help!! I was doing that type work in the late 80s and 90s when Hugo came through
His vice ,,,is way more than a vice, just like my idea’s, make it work, ( what box ,we are not in anyones box) , it’s a way of being free American, thanks BigAl California.
Glad you were able to get water to the animals. Like you said you never realize how much you relie on things till you dont have them. It will make pepole start to think about getting prepaired for the next whatever. Still praying for every one.
It feels good, just to watch, how you guys are helping out, and all the different electric companies also join in - makes one want to share whatever you can. Love it, thanks for a great video.
You must be a good boss because you have some great staff , it is really good to see GOOD ONYA MR DIGG . watching from Nth Qld Australia love your videos
Good morning !! Really neat history of your family. Man, Aaron do not play son. He is quite the electrical & mechanical guru. Country boy will survive. And, oh my gosh those horses are beautiful. I'm jealous Brandon. Those linemen are my fellow Floridians. We are very proud of them. Hope you all are back on line real soon. Until next time, y'all take care now.
Man do I get jealous watching these videos as I sit at my boring desk job every day… Really glad y’all were out and about helping the linemen move faster. Is a thankless job
Yayy ya'll got water to the animals!! As they say, 2 heads are better than one. It was cool watching ya'll troubleshoot Brandon's well. I was wondering the same thing Aaron was. How was it working in the first place? The horses are beautiful! I grew up riding. I love your easy going, get it done attitude. I never realized how beautiful it is up there. About a month ago i was looking into the Harry Potter themed treehouse 'Alchemy' right outside Asheville and going to Treetop Adventures where you can zipline and explore the treetops through an obstacle coarse. You can explore at night time with their cool lights. Now that I've seen how beautiful it is up there I'm for sure adding it to my must-see list. Happy to see ya'll are being things back up and running. God bless & God luck!❤
There is 38 crews from Nova Scotia Canada ( where Iam from ) helping out landed there last Friday or Saturday sure glad they can help koodo’s to your crews helping and everyone else 👍👋🇨🇦
Things you'd never think about 8000 poles. Just the logistics of moving 8000 poles all over the state is a feat all on its own in the best of conditions. Thanks for showing us how yall are making out. I lived in Southern IL in 93 when the Mississippi and IL river flooded. I thought I'd never see anything that bad again. What yall have looks 1000 times worse than that was.
Storm Services is on of the companies that sets up camps for the Power company and tree crews. They have sleeping trailers, showers, laundry and they feed them.
That was a lot of hard work! So glad you went and helped the animals. I know you said you were a bit of a prepper. Have you thought about solar/ wind for your buildings? My previous house in grey / cloudy UK had panels. Paid off in 9 yrs (feed in tarrif, FIT) and free electricity! Small solar array, rubbish weather and still worked. Bought my electricity bill down by 40%. Would do my washing/ use electrical appliances etc on brighter days when my electricity was free 😉 Like you said, you can rebuild. All your people are safe, that's the most important ❤
Enjoy your videos, new suscriber Arron is a beast, sure your glad to have him,god speed central Indiana, wasnt crimp it good a Devo song? Sorry, your a good man mr digg
You guys are doing a great job, especially getting those animals some water! BTW, there has been an abundance of yellow jackets here in Ohio this year. I had a nest out by my gate and trash cans and they got me 2xs on my legs. Very painful!. I tried everything to get rid of them. All it took was a groundhog to come along at night and dig it up 2 nights and they are gone! First time I ever appreciated a ground hog!
Storm services is from ms they started after Katrina - they set up camps after storms for power companies and ect. Catering lodging laundry and showers for workers.
Well the one good thing that could come from the broken poles is maybe there will be some demand for pine poles so maybe timber will get a little jump on price. Just think 8k poles in that area i wonder how many through all the states affected
you had it a lot worse than here. had two PVC fence posts pull away from the wall, tapcons pulled out. no power or water failure. keeping horses must be expensive
A aron start lifting with your legs. I saw you lifting totally with your back. Stop or a soon to be hospital visit or surgery will be in your future. You don't need that, it's really no fun.
LOL you want run out of Poles bud we got a yard here in Louisiana just up the road from me that treats those and makes them poles I couldn't tell you how big it is but i promise they got way more then 8k poles in there plus plenty more might take them a year to recoup the need but we got the poles in this country if not just in Louisiana alone cause we are big on pine timber were i live as well a lot of lumber comes from here and plywood and OSB we got 4 or 5 lumber mills or plants within 50 miles of my house! We want run out so don't let people worry or think that we don't have enough!
Storm services provides logistic support for the linemen working in the area, those tents is living quarters and they have mobile kitchens to feed the crews, storms that provide them their snacks through out the day when away from the base camp. Back during Hurricane Gustav I worked on the crew for another logistics company called SERT, and we was supporting the line crews in natchez Mississippi, and then for Hurricane Ike was in Houston area. My Ex worked for the parent company for SERT, and I was drafted and took vacation from my regular employer, and for SERT, I was paid $1500 a day and we worked 20+ hours a day, and had 900 linemen we fed and housed for 2 weeks, just at on location, and in the Houston location it was 1500 line men in the camp. It was a city in its self. If they are setting up the camp by tonight you will be full of linemen for the night., and the next day they will be their to eat their hot lunch.
New to you since Helene. In one vid you mentioned your garden channel. I looked at descriptions, at recommended channels and can’t find. What is the garden channel name?
That was most likely another tree falling on the line or being removed not them raising the lines they want do that stage till there adding poles back in the ground actually
Like an inline pump that could be used via a diverted line with a check valve or something. We use to have an open well like a wishing well with a bicycle rim with rope on it and it worked by water adhesion on the rope going round the rim and dumping off as it came up filling a basin. Yea it was archaic but worked great.
11:40 Aaron the money is in the $h1t the septic business is a good business to be in to I have been it the business for over 25 years installation and pumping
