League of Legends is one of the highest viewed esports. And although the game hardly ever has any problems at tournaments, sometimes a bad bug happens and the game completely crashes live on stage. Sometimes, Riot is capable of fixing the bug and the game moves on. But on the rare occasion that the bug cant be fixed, the game is completely lost and players are forced to play the game all over again regardless of how much time they spent.
Today we look at those times when the game crashed.

I will happily use Porofessor when I hear that Google Ads issue has been resolved. Don't need an identity theft virus or worse coming through their automated ads. Porofessor isn't to blame, though, it's Google's fault. Good program, good endorsement. Though I may be misremembering the issue being Blitz or Lolwiz instead. Feel free to fact check me on this if anyone has the time. I don't mind being wrong as long as it helps.

Just as a reminder, the DK coaches had no idea Faker used flash and were fine with remaking or chronobreaking games in general. It was after they learned that he used flash that they wanted the game to just continue. The DK head coach at the time was Daeny, someone known to have bad blood between T1

sounds like that bit about the bad blood makes zero difference as he had that bad blood and still was willing to remake until he learned his team a slight slight slight slight lead then of course his competitiveness to beat the best team in the world would take over. Idk how you don't draw that conclusion on your own but there ya go.

@@markcollado1521 T1 did. Match point for them too. But Faker ended up using Flash at 9 minutes, way past the CD of his accidental Flash

6:20 I remember the pause. There are still vods in other languages, so I went to check. FNCvsXL was the 4th game out of 5. It started at 20h, they made the pause and let G2vsRGE play, then remade the FNCvsXL at 23h The time between the two FNC XL was 2 and a half hours, but there was another game being played between them, so it wasn't that big of a deal

The Faker issue is messed up because DWK only says no because it involves a failed flash....information they should have absolutely 0 knowledge of.

I remember losing a ranked game because of a Yasuo windwall bug, where it blocked all projectiles even though you were a mile away from it and nowhere touching it. Me, my team and enemy team saw it. Bugs happen, but there needs to be a compensation depending on what happens. In a competitive type game, fairness should be a priority. Otherwise, where is the competitive aspect if there is no fairness?

Once upon the time we had immortal wolves and raptors in our jg. We didn't know that until I tried to farm them (it was jg diff already). Then the jungler realized that it wasn't his internet and shit is just broken. Ofc mobs were bugged ONLY in our jg, enemy blue and red were fine ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

@@Not_ur_waifuuI once had immortal wolves spawn in base, blue side. They were inside of the top gate. You could agro them, but they would return to that spot, always. This happened upon second clear of the camp when it became bugged. We were losing and the enemy team could’ve shoved in, but we put out a message in all chat to come gather round the wolves in a ceasefire that lasted until they despawned like 3 minutes after we messed with them. It was nice 😊

Old League was bugged. But with the new releases it seems that even Vandiril is fully employed reporting it all. Its a mess and it will only get worse. Nobody is going rewrite the code properly.

While that could sound weird/stupid, in last match they should force both midlaner to stay in base until game end. It might not be fair depend on teamcomps, but defenitly more than remaining game. Scores were 0/0/3 vs 0/1/0 so totally fine.

real question, why doesn't EUW have chronobreak yet? Riot has the money to sponsor these events in the first place, they should perform regular maintenance and updates to the latest esports tech and add chronobreak to the places that don't have it yet.

you know how to fix? MAKE LOL2 WITH A MODERN ENGINE AND CODE. So when something goes wrong you dont need to calculate the distance between earth and the edge of the universe everytime. Also Riot: "We currently have no plans to make LoL2"

The XL vs Fnatic thing was somewhat poorly explained. 8 to 21 kills means nothing when Fnatic was playing a worse lategame team comp and the gold lead was a mere 3k. Kills don't win games. XL only accepted the remake because GP was dead and Fnatic was in Baron. If GP hadn't died to the bug there's a pretty good chance XL would've won.

Bug abuse clauses are in pro play but yes everything is a hidden mechanic just that not many know of it.

Fountain hook was legendary, and not really a bug just unintended interaction. Similar interactions are still in the game with hook, such as being able to hook someone pre-forced movement to pull them back anyways (funny enough, IO relocate is a good example of this). Really glad Valve didn't handle it like league does.

@nagchampa1990 Giant was winning 1-0 and about to advance. So the best solution was they have to win 1 while the other have to win 3. 1 match is a free shield if they lose. That's probably the reasonable price for getting out of immediately stopping on tournament

There's also another bug that was so big, T1 vs DK, a smite bug on Oner's Xin Zhao happened where the CD of smite wasn't right. It went on for too long, up to the point that Gumayusi's Kalista was super far ahead of DK's bot Lane. They choronobraked the game up to the start, losing Gumayusi's lead. But they still ended up winning tho. But still, a bit sussy on the referee's end.

I love the demolish proc bug on SION. I OTP him and it happens maybe one a 100 games and you have infinite demolish on the enemy turrets. One ends and another starts. This is basicly over for the enemy. I reported the bug countless times over last year but nothing is done. I wonder if it will pop out in pro play someday and ruin a game :)

Because they had to clarify that the reason for remake was headset problem, if Riot remade the game because of Faker flash, what would stop any pro to flash early and remake the game

@@jeanffontenany3156 What would one gain from wasting flash early? - If they FAIL a flash fair enough (flashing into a wall or something like that) - but there was no threat and no reason for him to flash - it litterally takes 5 mins to determine and 5 mins to remake.. instead of 60 mins. There is no point to flashing earlier therefore it cannot be abused they only hurt them self if they get denied with no gain whatsoever - if minion has spawned or he by accident flashes when seeing the enemy its to bad, no remake. - but this exact case just shows how much Riot waste time on nothing.

i feel like if a game is already like 5 minutes or more there shouldnt be a remake just because it is unfair to the team that has the lead, if its smth before minions meet on mid, its okay to remake because nothing "really" happened, but after that there can be big differences even if its just 5-6 cs more or less this can make the difference in the first teamfight

I can't imagine refusing to remake when a bug as major as ORIS BALL BEING INVISIBLE is happening. Unfortunate that they didn't have chronobreak at the time, but it really seems like Giants were just being dicks since that's such an egregious bug. Also, accidental Flash notwithstanding, the pause should've been granted immediately once Faker reported the headset issue, totally agree with the final decision, especially if DK was apparently ok with the remake before knowing his Flash was burned

How does Chronobreak work and why is it so slow? I would imagine it's just taking data like champions position, gold, stats, ability timers, relative to the time in the game but it doesn't make sense how slow it is. I Guess League's code was inspired by Italian cuisine.

Some casters said that in a chrinobreak they just replay the whole game up to the point where the bug happened, so If the game is 30 minutes long they have to wait at least 30 minutes (+ all the time spent trying to fix etc...)

This sucks, no one likes this. No one wants to be the guy who tells everyone that hes losing to a bug or something like that and no one wants to be seen as that team that won because of a bug, no one wants to be the company responsible for the loss of someone over some issue with their machine and no broadcaster wants to be the bearer of bad news when it comes to these situations. The only one who doesnt rlly seem to care is riot
