I always turn it off at night. (in a few minutes) Before i turn it into an electronic store to recycle,I wipe out the hard drive. Never just throw away any electonics. Wipe your computer because there are millions of hidden files

lol this is at least comical, how much power do you think a modern PC uses? not to mention it would have to be under full load to produce a lot of heat , and even then modern machines will only produce so much heat before it throttles itself to keep cooler. if nothing else this is a comical video

I leave my computer on nonstop and have for the last 27 years. I run folding @ home on one and milkyway @ home on the other. I am on computer 4 (I think) of those only one just up and died. The issues I did have were during the capacitor plague I had several power supplies fail. usually I found out when I shut the computer down for maintenance or something like that. They would not restart again. My former boss told me that he had a client that was moving and could not account for a computer on the network. after tracing down some wires they found a boarded up closet with an old novell server on a ups that had been running for years (according to it's uptime). old novell servers could do that. what a pointless video.
