Ever wondered how far you can push the limits of the game where the genealogy tree is concerned? Well wonder no more!
In this video I’ll be seeing what happens when an adoptive parents and biological parent get married, and the siblings adopt a baby together!
How am I doing this? A young couple have twins who are separated at birth, One staying with their biological parents and the other being adopted. When the twins are young adults they will join families again! The biological mother of the twins will marry the adoptive father of one child, and then the adult twins will adopt a baby together.
I didn’t expect the break the genealogy tree as much as I did with this experiment, but I was pretty happy with the result!

I can top this. My current household consists of a lady with 2 daughters from her ex husband...and her new husband is her ex husbands son and my sim accepted him as a foster kid before and he has i think it's called "mommy's boy" feeling for the lady. And they're married. Weird things happen when you make your sims wizards with the immortality spell and let everybody else age normally. One of the daughters (from the ex husband) is married to one of her other half siblings' brother. And the other girl is still single - I'm considering letting her marry her sister's father in law just because.

I recently had a sims save where my sim had an affair with Mortimer Goth, and had twins. My sim and her husband decided to put one of them up for adoption and have Mortimer adopt them, and now they’re labeled has half siblings.

There is a glitch with the new farming pack that if there is 2 siblings and one of the siblings has a boyfriend and they're all flirty, something happened, and my sibling started flirting with each other 🤯🤮 And I play on Xbox, I don't have any cheats

Not a glitch that came with the new packs, unfortunately. That's been a thing that could happen for a while. One of my old saves showed a tiny bit of romance between the father and toddler because the toddler got in the middle of a romantic conversation the parents were having.

That sucks, when the romance bar is first triggered there SHOULD be a routine check for age and familial relationship (simple line of code), but group conversations are a huge mess, there ARE mods that fix the issue from flirty group convos though, so I really don't know why the devs don't add that to the game properly..

I've been playing the Sims 4 since it came out and this is the FIRST TIME I ever see how a baby gets sent for adoption. I've had sims adopt a baby, but never the other way around. For some reason (?) I have never done that to my sims in all these years, no matter how bored I got with the game. Thanks for this wonderful idea :) Question: can the adopted child find their biological parents in the game? Or with a mod?

I've managed to have siblings get married with Mcc. I think you have to allow romantic relations between family members for it to work through the mod.

This could make for a sweet story. Young girl gets pregnant after meeting a guy at a bar one night and ends up with twins. She can't afford to raise both so one of them is sent for adoption. Years later, the kids are teens and the mother meets a nice guy, starts dating and they fall in love. Lo and behold, once she meets his teen child she realizes this is the child she sent for adoption all those years ago. They get married and live together as a happy family. Ah, if only weddings worked properly this could indeed be turned into a sweet sims story.

I tried something once. Basically you take a female sim and get them lots of lovers. Then you try for a baby with all of them and then take a pregnancy test and do it over and over until your sim is pregnant. Then it’s a surprise to see who the father is :)

I think in the Wicked Whims mod, you can set your sims to be into incest. Hella gross-- but makes for some good Rich Inbred Family opportunities xD

I randomize the wicked atribute on a save one, most sims ended up with something. The vatore household, well, they ended up with a high romantic relationship and I'm sincerely too scared to check up on them anymore

There is a song by a German country band called "Mein Opa das bin ich" (My grandpa is myself) and it's about a dad and his son marrying a mom and her daughter (the dad marries the daughter and the son marries the mom). This song is probably what inspired me to make fucked up family trees in the sims.

There's a similar English song too, "I'm My Own Grandpa" written in the 40s, which was inspired by a story in a Mark Twain book written in the 1880s! I think there's a few famous covers of it, including Willie Nelson, the Muppets, and a performance at the Grand Ole Opry.

I'm pretty sure the family/pregnancy mod would have flagged something if the adoptive dad/daughter discussed her being adopted. From other videos I've seen, the kid has to know they're adopted before roadblocks to things like this can occur.

I have a Sims save file on generation 11. I made it so, with cheating, affairs before couples dated, etc, the family tree doubles on me sometimes. No one is actually related, given game technicality, but the way it still functions on generation 11 is fantastic. I love testing Sims 4.

You can cheat to allow incest using mccc. I explored this with Tom and Tina peeping. I turned them into brother and sister who had twins(boy and girl) who started woohooing as twins. To complicate it Tom and Tina both had spouses while having an incest affair and then their teen twins followed in their footsteps. The family tree was messed up!

I play on console. I had my girl twin taken away(not my choice the adult sims kept canceling my actions) and I married the boy twin to the girl without any cheats and by the time they were adults I forgot her name until I looked back on Snapchat.

1st cousins aren't supposed to be able to have romantic interactions, if yours do, that's a bug. The minimum distance between relatives that can get romantic in the game without bugs or mods is 1st cousin once removed, and as you said, great-grandchildren with their great-grandparent, for some reason. (I play with ww attraction system and for some reason my Sims tend to think their immortal ancestors are super hot, so I do keep an extra family tree for reference. In my country, only direct line relatives can't get married, so .. cousin marriage is legal here, but I still think that is a bit much 😅 )

one of the bad things with the sim is if you play for long enough and have like big sim families certain cousins will not show up as family in the tab unless you go through the family tree....

Ah, so they do have some kind of genealogy preservation installed. I've been wondering why my Sims couldn't romance each other. I think they really need to tighten up the Story Progression and genealogy system. With SP on, unplayed Sims keep on having babies and suddenly there's no way to trace their lineage.

My adult sim had the romantic relationship bar on her child son. I'm not even sure how it happened, but I think it might be because she was flirting with her husband, and her son was also a part of the conversation so it glitched? I honestly have no clue, but i really think sims should fix that for children sims. I couldn't even get rid of it, so i just had to constantly cheat it down to a zero so that i could at least pretend it wasn't there. By far the most upset I've been with the sims 4 🤮

Start a family of one father and 3 daughters. Let father start a club with teenage boys. Have to club very friendly socials and make your house the clubbing home. Then let's see how long it takes for your teenage daughters get pregnant of the club members. Do not let your daughters join the club, and only control the father during gatherings. Never control your daughters during gatherings. You can do the same with sons and start an all-teenage girl club. It's always fun to see the dynamics during the club gatherings.

i tried this, my sim had a baby as a teen, gave it to johnny zest, then somehow, still as a teen, got with johnny zest, then they had a kid together, and then my file got corrupted cause of some bad mod/cc lmao

I thought I should add a story that could be played out in the sims. Same thing a mom gives birth to twins with her first love is kicked out of her home or her husband leaves her because he doesn't want kids. Then the mom gives on up for adoption lives her life is stable (semi rags to riches) with the baby she chose. Then one day she meets the person who adopted her other kid, falls in love and never meets the kid because they're in boarding school or away in some research facility. Choice is yours. The child can be a kid or an adult living their life. Then they meet at the engagement party, (actual mom and adopted kid) and she recognizes the child. What happens from there is your choice. Does she tell her fiance? Tell her child who has no clue he or she is a twin? Tell them both? Keep it a secret? What if the twins are identical? What then? Or! They aren't identical and like each other romantically? Who knows

The first time I played the Broke family in the Sims 2, Beau was taken away, and he later ran into Brandi at a community lot and had three lightning bolts for her. The Curious family actually rolls wants to woohoo with their half siblings. Interesting that they fixed that bug.

Accidently did this in sims 2 with brandi broke and the kid she was pregnant with at the start. Long story short she lost him when her new husband burned himself up leaving the toddler alone in the house and he was taken away. Another family(picasso) later adopts him, he grows up and meets the still single Brandi. Me having not played in years, forgets she is really his mother until they are already married🤦🏾‍♀️ Too late now They are working on her have 10 children want and none look inbred😂

@@shineeshaymin oooo that’s so cool! I may have to look for it! I’ve been just….. using a random number generator to decide a sim’s preference but even then it’s just “are they queer? Yes? No? Are they Trans? Yes? No?” And that’s soooo not accurate at all. I feel like the mod would help. I love that I can add attraction preferences with WW. This is just another help 🥰

I think one of the worst family tree things I ever did was, when I was like, 13 or 14 years old, a guy got abducted and impregnated by aliens. Dad and his wife raised the alien like their own. The wife has a biological brother (her parent's have a baby) who's about the same age as the alien. In their teens/young adult age, wife's brother and alien fall in love. So basically...alien kid married her step-uncle. I was like, 13 so I said "Hey, love is love". And that's why, my dear boys, girls, and nonbinaries, is why children should not be allowed to make decisions on love, nor should they be allowed to legally consent to troublesome relationships. :/

One time I made my sim flirt with all the girls in Willow Creek. She was pregnant with a girl I think and her first boyfriend Jerry is going to divorce his girlfriend but later I created a girl and he dated her and got her pregnant just like Chelsea Martin. He broke up with her because she didn’t get married to him so Chelsea moved out with her baby girl so Jerry remarried a much younger woman named Michelle Abama and has two daughters Hannah and Keisha who live with their stepdad

Michelle had two daughters from her first relationship and I tested the family tree and found out Michelle is dead so the two daughters moved to Willow Creek with their stepdad and met Jerry and instantly became friends with Jerry so I made her flirt with Jerry and then got Laura pregnant and then her sister Cora killed her stepdad and then they broke up Years later they currently live in Willow Creek with Jerry, his wife Laura and Laura’s sister Cora after the death of Laura and Cora’s stepdad but the mother is still alive and Laura’s father has died of old age

I'm not sure if you know this now after so long after posting this BUT you did the whole adoption thing wrong. You're supposed to do the adoption through the mod, not the game. That's probably why it didn't work like you thought it would.

I don't know what I thought would happen when I got my Sims adopted by their aunt and uncle who where the identical twins of their parents but what happened was that they were duplicated on the family tree. Then I tried to fix it with MCC, and then it said that they were the daughters of the sisters together instead of one or the other couple, and then I tried again to fix it. Then it said that their were three of them and they were the children of their birth parents and their adoptive parents and their two mothers together who were also twins. And it said everyone was their aunts and uncles as well

I had a completely vanilla game, my sim's step dad started flirting with her as soon as she became a young adult. the mom caught them flirting a few times 😖
