My level of respect for you has greatly increased beyond a scale of measure the moment you held a GameCube. You sir are an American treasure that should be protected.
Ive seen rumble Johnson fight Phil Davis live in Baltimore. I was 4th row and the sound of him hitting Phil is a sound that I won't ever forget. The power was incredible.
I just wanted to say that I'm 56yo, out of shape with COPD and have had like 3 grade school fights with zero training. I admit to enjoying watching Boxing and kick boxing in the late 70s-early 80s and the first few UFC events as well as having like 3 martial arts classes. What I'm saying is I ain't even got an armchair to sit on but I love watching your videos. Thanks for making content that makes me happy even if I can't relate or even attempt to participate in.
Loving this channel - I really enjoyed the ‘combat sports athletes and talk shows’ (maybe I got the title wrong) series. Anthony Joshua’s appearance on the Graham Norton show are interesting- think they did a complimation called ‘knock out moments’ - won’t give any spoilers though.
eugene has a taekwondo background, if i remember right. also, since they left buzzfeed they've done some more videos trying martial arts, like boxing and karate, if you'd like to check those out. thanks for all the entertaining content!
Great commentary, really enjoyed the video! Just one small thing: Could you maybe put the video you're watching on the big screen and your facecam in a corner? Like the way, it is from 4:54 to 5:26. Not that I don't like seeing your handsome face ;), but it makes it very hard to concentrate on the video that you're reacting to. Thanks!
@@j_g9724 no Mcdojo is the class across the street. My Grand dragon Sensi has a bullshido school. It's an ancient art. It's to dangerous to compete. I think I'm gonna get my gold belt next. Just got to save $3,000.
Lol. I'm a regular person, and I started MMA at 42.... Yeah. Ouch. But, after like 6 weeks, I realized that I really did not want to stop. So, after almost 2 years, I finally realized that uh, yeah, I guess I'm not a regular person. Lol again. Even louder this time. But, I suffer from Imposter Syndrome. Even at my local 10th Planet. My heart goes out to those who pay the monthly fee, only to never come back after 1-3 classes. Practicing punch face is NOT for everyone.
those type of vids are great, you should recreate it and have untrained vs trained people do some rounds and record. it's why bully beatdown was so good lol
The last time I was a regular and managed to pin almost everyone down in my first day lol, it was not even a match just my cardio was issue and I was just 155lb back then
You should break down the extended fight scene from Atomic Blonde. Charlize Theron trained for months and did most of the stuntwork in that scene (pretty much all of it minus the stair falls and the stunt driving). She even bruised ribs and cracked teeth and kept going in takes that were used in the movie itself. You can also find videos of her training.
What is there to break down? It's the modern 'lightweight woman beats up multiple heavyweight guys with little effort' trope that modern action movies have been pushing for a while, granted they show her taking hits but it's still a fantasy
@@shinobi-no-bueno ''still a fantasy'' never understood this criticism since that is ultra true of all action movies even the men are doing super human things no man irl could could come close to doing. Just enjoy it for what it is, i understand if the acting/dialogue or story is bad but if the action in an action movie is realistic then the protagonist man or woman instantly dies after getting mobbed by a horde of bad guys. people still do breakdowns of action movie scenes for fun even when they are super unrealistic when men are in the action scene.
@@dylanbarrett508 that's just false. Perhaps you and I could not but that doesn't mean no man can. And if a man accomplishing these feats breaks the immersion for you then a woman doing the same must completely take you out of the film
@@shinobi-no-bueno even in some movies where the character is not supposed to be superhuman you see dudes do ridiculous shit like solo kill anywhere from 2 or 3 dozen to a few hundred men, sometimes in hand to hand combat other times with guns but the bad guys have guns too. Do you legitimately think there is a man on this planet who can reliably and consistently solo a compound full of other trained armed men with guns numbering in the dozens to sometime hundreds, sometimes with minimal or no prep time too. Seriously there is no man on the planet who can fist fight 30 other men at the same time in a large open room where they can get rushed from all angles simultaneously and still win despite being stated to not be superhuman, yet we see it all the time in action movies. like come on rambo going off the actors age is 73 in the most recent rambo movie yet still kicks the ass of dudes in their 20s, 30s and 40s. The thing is despite no man being able to do this shit it doesn't break my immersion or stop me from enjoying the movie because suspension of disbelief is a thing, OBVIOUSLY THER IS A LIMIT but people see action heroes do crazy shit all the time and most people don’t instantly freak out and go THATS NOT REALISTIC. They understand it's a movie and it's fun to see people be badass and hyper competent at an absurd amount of skills because power fantasy and numerous other reasons. people want to be entertained not hyper realism.
I tried mma. it was my second day of striking and coach had us run through a gauntlet in the cage. 12 guys. all weight classes, in one cage. each man goes up and runs through the whole line of 11 dudes for 30 seconds. before I went up, I watched all the dudes going crazy giving eachother CTE so when It was my turn, I kept my distance, did a lot of leg checking, teep kicks for distance and superman punches along with slipping punches right after, no fuckin way youre giving me cte before I start my amatuer career😂
I did MMA. Got a split disc and after somebody turned my head into a punch bag (which really hurts with MMA gloves) I realised the skull does bend. Then I got a little mad because the guy had pounded me because he didn't like the guillotene I'd gotten him with in the previous round. So I thought "I'm gonna let my legs go" (I was a fast kicker) and immediately slipped over in my own blood. That's MMA. Enjoy.
Seth: I had it happen as a kid, I haven't had it happen as an adult because of how bad the kid incident was it actually umm...errr [looks awkwardly into camera, video fades to UFC clip]
Great reaction! Cringed a bit when you talked about the traditional guy since that's probably what I'd do, drop into one of my stances. Maybe you could react to the video of the Shaolin monk vs. the TKD fighter: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xqM75eGR98k.html
Why can't we bring back the Roman Gladiator games without the weapons? But how the bigger arena and half people fight in the same way to do it. UFC, just a bigger arena. Bigger is better, right?
Tell me, Seth. You're a fan of corridor digital? I don't really see comments pointing the fact that you are wearing a merch of corridor, so I commented one myself.
The penis/zipper joke made react the same as i would to a gnarly liver knee ... neither are very nice. Eugene's kick looked like taekwondo...no wonder he couldn't fall
My man is wearing the yellow mighty morphin power ranger hoodie🤣🤣🤣and back in the day the called the producers racist for making the yellow ranger Asian now he's going with the stereotype🤣
