They announced that at a later date they will be fixing the bug that is stopping people from getting the gift after completing the pokedex so that should mean a living dex will not be necessary.
Good, because when I connected to Pokémon bank with home it registered all Pokémon from gen1 to 7 to home dex with me registering each individual gen8 I did have a complete dex but do not have all of them for a living dex, especially any of the mythical.
I do have a living pokedex; it took me three days just because my brother (who plays GO while I don't) was busy and could not allow me Meltan and Melmetal earlier. I haven't got that Magearna either. Also, I haven't found anything OFFICIAL about it, so I don't if reaching customer support even helps.
Professor Magnolia has to be the worst professor. She doesn’t introduce you to Pokémon at the beginning of the game, she barely appears in the story, her granddaughter knows more about Dynamax than her, and she doesn’t even care about your Pokédex despite giving it to you...
I actually had multiple AZ floettes In my x game and my alpha sapphire. I got them through a glitch having to do with QR code’s. That’s also how I get 6 shiny volcanions and 6 shiny hoopas
Brawl Master Floette will come eventually. Original Magearna and Floette were in the exact situation in the 3ds games, and since OG Magearna is available it’s basically inevitable.
In German, Grand Oak is called Giga-Eich (Eich = Oak). I was laughing when I saw him for the first time and thought: "I mean, REALLY? Is this necessary to give Oak a gigantamax-form?" 😂
That glitched Magearna might end up being one the rarest pokémon ever, since not many have full living dexes let alone loaded the whole thing to Home that fast. EDIT: Should add that there are some other special gifted pokemon that have unique OT's, moves, or ribbons, that make them WAAAAY more rare than anything else despite being a, relatively, accessible otherwise. Like the Shogokun Magikarp with Dragon Rage that was a contest prize. The glitched gift Magearna with it's 15 ribbons and tackle might rival that in rarity!
@@bolladragon As far as I know people can easily hack ribbons too... But seeing it like this, you can't really know is anything is legit in Pokemon anymore so yeah..
I would love it if they finally released AZ's Floette through Pokemon Home. Though hopefully we wouldn't have to complete the National Dex in order to get it haha.
AZ's Floette can't even be considered as a proper pokemon because it is an Eternal Flower Floette and it can't evolve into a Florges like normal Floette and it's unknown if it was evolved from a Flabebe. It will have to be considered as a whole new species of Pokemon. It can't even be considered as a different form because Pokemon with regional forms can still evolve or be evolved from something else.
@@winterycold I think it could still be counted as a different form. There are lots of Pokemon with unique forms that can't evolve, like the Ash-Hat Pikachus or Gigantamax Meowth.
I only competed 3 Pokédexes in my life: *Meeting every Pokémon in Sinnoh. *Pokémon Sun *Pokémon Sword I had White2 since 2012, and I only obtained around 490 or something.
I think I've completed the pokedex around 5 times Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (Both regional and national dex + mythics) Pokemon Moon (Twice) Pokemon Ultra Sun (Once) Idk if I got more times on gen 7 games
For some reason when I saw the notification, all saw was "what happens when you complete the..." And I thought it would be "what happens when you complete the Pokemon sword and pokemon shield randomiser nuzzlock post game" lol
I hope there will be some kind of reward for completing the National Dex prior to the DLC. And if the reward is not Eternal Flower Floette, I'll have Gyarados use Hydro Pump on everyone at Game Freak
Just so you guys know, Magearna is back in Sword and Shield, so you can actually use your Original Form Magearna now. Also, Normal form Magearna actually has a proper shiny now in Pokemon Home and Sw/Sh. I’ll let you guys find that for yourself.
I have the glitchy Magearna, and as glad as I am to have been able to get the Original Color Magearna, I am proud to have been able to get such a rare Pokémon. :) I've had as much of a living dex as was possible in Bank, one of every Galar mon besides Zacian ready to go in Shield, and a Meltan and Melmetal in LGP. Combine those together, luck out trading a Ho-Oh for a Zacian on the GTS, and boom- complete living dex within a day of Home's release. :) Minus forms, but I don't really sweat those much.
POKETIPS IS THE BEST POKE CHANNEL! Period. you’ve inspired us, also lifelong fans of the franchise, to share new Pokexperiences with our fans. Thank you!
and I say semi because I can't remember exactly how it happened. Either they withdrew their pokemon or they had an ability that caused them to switch out after a certain amount of damage taken. But it did happen. They threw out their dynamaxable pokemon next and well it was a one shot and thats all she wrote haha.
It's a known glitch; I also experienced it (contacted customer support, and they said they were still working on it). The announcement for the update which took down the servers for a bit on Friday was supposed to fix the problem, but obviously it didn't.
@@KonDragon008 No, the update on Friday was for people who received a glitched Magearna before February 14th. Some people, in the first couple days of Home, received Magearna with an impossible move set and/or other issues. This was fixed on Friday. However, the announcement clearly said that the issue of people receiving nothing for completing the dex would be fixed in a future update. Once that happens, everyone will be able to get Magearna.
@@MarkHogan994 Ah. Perhaps not so "clearly said", as the initial notice only mentioned the Magearna glitch, and nothing popped up in News after the update (at least on my device) for what they actually made changes to. I hope their fix works retroactively and they won't require us to renew the Home subscription (for access to those boxes).
You actually don’t need to have the “living” dex to get Magearna. Just have the dex completed. The gift was a bug for a lot of people and should be fixed. I received my owed gift today and literally have nothing but basic mons in the few used boxes.
Yeah, definitely don't need the Pokemon in the boxes. My Marshadow is still hanging out in Sword after the Mewtwo Max raids and the Magearna reward showed up for me today after doing nothing but giving it a few days to register the completed dex.
I’m just sad that you have to have all of the mythicals 😭 I actually have a living Dex! And all of the region forms. But in all other games the mythicals weren’t necessary for you to be considered with a complete Dex. :\ Now I just wonder... how am I supposed to get them? (I have the “older” ones. But I don’t have like... Volcanion, Zeraora, Marshadow, etc).
I have an almost complete Living Dex in Bank, but knowing that I can't send Pokémon back to Bank after I send them to Home means I basically have to do it all over again! Not looking forward it it!
It’s nice to see this OG Color Magearna as a reward for completing the international Pokédex. It’s not like others where you get a certificate or a charm-you get a fully fledged Pokémon as reward which is amazing. Where’s Eternal Flower Floette though? It’s been 2 gens and still no news of that?
@@DarthRaichu I don't have a living dex in home. I do have the Pokémon spread over games but I prefer the ones that can to stay on their cartridges. But my home pokedex is complete so they should have fixed it. I shouldn't have to move my pokemon to the left or have a living dex in Home. I mean for one I am paying for this service.
@@ginnrelay That's stupid if you need all the variants etc I know all mega evolutions aren't registered but even so. All Pokémon are. 890 Pokémon I have registered.
They probably didn’t add it to Pokémon Sword and Shield because barely anyone has actually completed a full National Dex. If it is not released in any of the two DLCS, they will probably add a feature to transfer it to Sun and Moon.
Bruh I even completed the Pokedex but having ALL of them in HOME at once is beyond infuriating. The reward should not be given for doing that but just for completing the Pokedex.
The genius of Gamefreak is unstoppable. First, they remove more than half of the pokemon for balance and then release most legendaries in DLC because why not and now they create a Pokemon that can't be used in any game for the moment. Good job gamefreak 😂
Envy I have the same problem, despite having a living dex sitting in order right there. I’m starting to wonder if having shinies in those spots has anything to do with it? I’m hoping not. Dx
When I transferred my glitchy magearna into sword and shield it turns out it was shiny I bought it all the way up to level 100 It became my first ever shiny fairy type Pokémon
