I don’t go anywhere without a bottle of Lucozade. Bagels and white bread are a killer. Great video - you described the “impeding doom” feeling of an approaching hypo really well !!
Absolutely love your channel - and especially this series of libre videos. You are very articulate, and you make the videos so fun and watchable. Hope at some point you'll give the libre 2 another go, as they've just brought out an app update which means you don't have to scan all the time. Best thing about this is you won't get gaps in your graph if you miss the 8-hour scan deadline.. Totally understand your fear of needles - I wish you well whatever you decide to do xx
Aww thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed this mini series! 🧡🥰 I have heard good things about this new update and I am tempted to give it another go!
I finished my free trail of a libre 2 sensor yesterday learnt loads from it, I do miss the scrirty of it as I had mine set to alarm when I dropped below 3.9 which ment I could get straight on top of my hypo n deal with it before I went low, I have 5 kiddies 15 to 2 years old, so it was a huge blessing for me. Thank u for Ur vids of Ur experience it's comforting to know I'm not the only one x
@@SimplySarah760 I went on to their website n it came up on there not shore if their still doing it though as this was a while ago. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🙏
I started to see hypoglycemia recently.. its been continuing for 4 weeks... how long it will last like this? Even if i eat protien i cant stay more than 2 hours ...
I’ve had gastric bypass surgery and have developed reactive hypoglycaemia. I need to convince my GP because my bloods came back ok no further action 🤦🏻 I’ve been to 2.8 several times and shaking like a sh….. dog 😂 it’s a learning curve because one day no affects on sweet things next time a crash . my finger is a pin cushion… if I can convince the GP I maybe get a CGM 😊 great video 👏👏👏👏 best wishes Glyn
Hi Kate, have you tried apple cider vinegar to help steady your blood sugar levels. I was like you super high, super low in minutes, but it really has helped. might be worth a with/without comparison vid :0)
Hi- I have just been diagnosed with RH- how are you managing it now? Do you see a specialist dietician ? Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! It is affecting my life so much - I barely have enough energy to do anything I used to like surfing and running xx
So when you say you're going low at 4.3 is this below where you should be after eating? I'm getting spells of what feels like low blood sugar, especially after eating and trying to figure it out without a cgm, just a fingerprick monitor, and I'm often in the low 4s but haven't caught it drop in to 3's where it would be classed as a proper hypo yet?
Yep. I'm on a low bad carb, high good fat, higher protein (resistance training). My CGM has me at 56 to 70 all day, but I don't have any hypoglycemic symptoms. I got the CGM to avoid HIGH spikes, but now I notice I'm below 70 all day normally even though I stuff my face silly during the eight hours I eat. Hmmm...kinda weird.
