Uhhhhhhhhhh saved a lot of time in my speedrun, 1 and a half seconds to be exactly but to me uhhhhhhhhhh seems to be a lot of flaws since it cannot be buffed. But to me uhhhhhh is a great strat for newbies in terraria speedrun

To be fair to the Back In Time glitch when it was first discovered and named it was actually sending you backwards. The way its used now sends you forwards but that wasn't known when it was discovered and named
i love speedrunning obscure games that barely anyone knows about cause whenever i find a cool trick i get to name it since i’m the first one to find it i could name the trick that lets you go through the first part of golden summit really fast “fast golden summit” but no i’m gonna name it “the dinner blaster”
An Eric is an Instaturn variant, also known as Lowjump Instas for Instaturning while DASHing. It preserves all of Peppino's horizontal speed turning left, making it the fastest possible method of turning from right to left*. To perform an Eric, while DASHing to the right, Grab or Fast Fall then Mach Cancel the frame you hit the ground. After a frame, High Jump to the left. Note that you can Eric from right to right, however it's only occasionally useful in niche cases. See: Tasmach Erics are extremely difficult to do consistently, so Erics are usually avoided and/or replaced with Instaturns. Erics have no known Buffers.

Considering there is a different trick called stinky fart I am surprised nobody wanted to call it stanky leg. Fire name tbh. Oh well. Guess I’ll just have to gaslight everyone I meet into calling this a stanky leg instaturn.
I am obsessed with these terms. I have never played Pizza Tower, but this is the stuff I like. I remember recently learning Sonic Adventure's 2 "Opium Boyfriend Toaster."
Hey, there’s an Eric in Hollow Knight speedrunning too! If you fail one of the fireball skips in Greenpath there’s a backup, you can lure a squit (small flying enemy) up and pogo off it. Its name is Eric. We have some other named mobs too, like leaping husks are Jennifers for some reason, and Soul Warrior is Norman. And I think there’s a Harold, but I forget what he is.
I think what's funny is that of all the names in the world, the name for an instaturn being "Eric" is oddly fitting, like the sound a turntable makes when you pull it back real fast, E-RIC

Like “so here he pulled an eric, and then there he pulled off a stinky fart, but I kid you not the highlight of this run is when he managed to pull off a cowabunginator 9000, effectively saving 5 minutes. This is revolutionary, the first of its kind to ever be produced, and will be framed as a milestone in the history of speedrunning forever.” In the most monotone (or amazed) tone you can conceive of.
Its kinda like fgc terms. Like safejump make sense, its a safe way to jump in on your opponent off of a knockdown without getting wake up DP'd. But i know some people get caught off guard by "HE SO PRINGLES WHERE YOUR CURLY MUSTACHE AT!" In mvc2

Reminds me how the first major BRC strat is just called gooning because it was a joke in the discord before the game came out and we were like "Oh you hit the edge of the billboard and you go really fast? Youre edging? Gooning? Its gooning, we're calling it gooning"
abt the end of the video where theres a skip called stinky fart, i have not seen it but if its hard i feel like somebody would scream "OMG I GOT THE STINKY FART SKIP!!!!"
there's also a maneuver called the "backshot", meaning that the following sentence: "YOO, I'VE HIT THE NASTIEST BACKSHOT JUST NOW!" is 100% possible speedrunning-wise
As a glitch hunter myself, I'm just as guilty as naming glitches with either weird name, or just plastered my name on it. Hell! There's exist TWO glitches in two different games that I was a part of were named Ghost Clip.
