Here I show what happens when a system is ran without a filter for a significant amount of time. This is a good comparison because you can see half of the coil is in okay condition and the other half is totally ruined.

I woul tell them they need to use 2" filters in these Sunline units.

100%. In this case the previous visit was our first time out and filter sizes were unknown. They called in the middle of a heat wave and they have no stores around except one Home Depot like 20 minutes away. We ran and grabbed these 1" filters and basically told them the system was going to die unless they replaced the coil. I reached out several times and never heard anything back until like a week ago.

01:17 iF YOU WERE THERE LAST YEAR, WHY DID YOU NOT ADDRESS THE FILTER SITUATION WHEN YOU WERE THERE LAST YEAR, SOUNDS LIKE YOUR FAULT. YOU PUT A CAP N IT LAST YEAR BUT YOU DID NOT TAKE CARE OF THE COIL OR FILTER ISSUE LAST YEAR! that coil did not corrode and fail in 1 year. you missd it last year!

No. It looks the exact same as last year. This is a commercial property. They approve weird things. When they called me last year it was because the cap had failed. I checked the coil and filters and found it in this condition. I told them that the cap had failed and that was the reason it had stopped cooling the previous day but that the system needed to be replaced. I replaced the cap and sent a quote for replacement. They did not move forward. They did not have approval from upper management to replace the system and they are hoping to get it this year.
