I still dig the big rig look lol it's why i also like the 99-94/05ish Ford f250/350 super duty truck series is they have similar design cues, and dodge did it first won truck of the year in 1994
Glad to see you back messing with that truck again. It was an integral part of our younger years! I remember very well the day you got it... still the biggest dang 350Z I ever saw! LOL
I’m working on upgrading the sound system on my second gen dodge and she does have oem system still on it if you still looking for the open I do have it for you not cost
Ive gotten around to changing the front door speakers but they interfere with the power windows and don't allow them to roll down more than about halfway,, they have really decent bass response and sound great honestly but they are going to need to be spaced out away from the doors,i still have the premium infinity by Chrysler am fm CD player cassette tape player stereo and it still works great.... anyway... I have said it is not the factory one for my truck but it is identical to what would have been in it from the factory ..i have a pioneer deh model p3700mp cd player super tuner III D stereo and it is only halfway installed because I have managed to lose my install cage sleeve for mounting the stereo in the dash of the RAM,so I may just put the factory type headunit back in the truck..
My 2000 dodge ram laramie slt quad cab long bed 1500 4x4 i finally have gotten around to start trying to repair the rear speakers and they don't have amplifiers on them either but they are infinity im pretty sure 3209 1031 6500 is the numbers on the magnets of both rear speakers and i believe this truck or atleast most of its audio system was built in Mexico..
My factory type head unit has the Chrysler pentastar and it doesn't have the infinity logo, but I don't think any of the cd and cassette tape player stereos that the sport edition and laramie trucks got had that Logo either oh well.... and as i have said anyway my particular head unit is actually out of a jeep Cherokee but it is the same part number as the 98-2001 dodge ram with the infinity tweeters my 2000 ram takes so ..
From what I've found (and I've researched a LOT) there were 3 possible manufacturers of the Infinity units. But if they were Infinity, they all got the logo on the front.
And I have replaced the front door speakers in my truck with a set of cerwin vega hed series 6x9 7694 four way 880 watts a pair max,,speakers and they are loud enough without the factory amplifier filters sound system setup and still using the factory headunit.
I also tried using the screws as an anchor point for lining everything up and the door panels still just keep falling it keeps it up and it is going to have black button head screws all around the door grrr and somehow the ones that are up by the mirror both sides got lost I didn't have the truck apart less than an hour and I pulled and straightened several yellow Christmas tree door pins and there was 3 spots on the bottom of both doors broken and two along the side at the top of both sides of the Dr side and passenger side door....
