Christians fear and tremble by design, Jeremiah 32:40 says so. This is not the type of fear that draws people away from the Lord, it is the type of fear that draws them nearer. When God's Word is saying "warning danger," those who are most scared by the warning are the ones who are safest. God's Word makes you think and examine yourself and cling all the more closely to Christ. This is how God has designed these warnings.

This maybe the first time I’ve heard it explained this way. Particularly in how fear of these verses could be looked at as a reference to scripture to those who are being saved in conjunction with the fear of the Lord. There are definitely promises in scripture to those who fear God. A conscience that fears seems to imply a tenderness to the word of God and the promises of scripture. I have been tormented in the past from such verses so it gives me hope to hear such a positive message. It also further underscores my belief that such verses are truly meant for those who have renounced and given up on belief in God and His offer of salvation. Their outright rejection is what causes God to give them up. There are just far too many instances throughout scripture of believers who have committed gross sin yet never renounced their faith and eventually ended their journey well and in the grace of God. So I would say that as long as your hope for salvation is in the shed blood of Jesus Christ you can seek and have assurance. The other aspect being crucified flesh. There will still be struggles but if you are not in active and continued repentance and dying to self you should question your salvation. According to Paul, if you continue in sin it is possible for God to give you up to a strong delusion. These strong delusions are what keep people from saving faith…”lest they should believe and be saved.” -Luke 8:12b

All sin is willfull and can be forgiven. Willfully rejecting the atonement of the cross is a matter of concern.

Context, context, context. The entire context of hebrews 10 is about animal sacrifices and how they were returning to them. So when it says there is no sacrifice left, it saying no sacrifice left in animal sacrifices. No mention of this by tim.

@natanaelyamil5847 Год назад
yeah friend but when he speaks that there is no sacrifice left, that means no animal or human sacrifice or otherwise. That means Jesus will not die twice for the repentance of sin and animal sacrifice will not work for the repentance of sin. So it's both.
@jjjj-ss8dq

@natanaelyamil5847 well of course christ died only once. The whole book of hebrews is about unbelief, so when italks of counting christ blood as an unholy thing it referring to them going back to the temple and animal sacrifices and trusting in them,which showed thier unbelief in christ.

@@jjjj-ss8dq Yeah, but what I was clearing up is how you said Tim didn't mention how it was referring to no animal sacrifice left for the atonement of sin, and I was just saying that it's because he was focusing on how Christ will not be crucified again for the atonement of sin and what that means in terms of salvation.

@@natanaelyamil5847 so Hebrews 10:26 do I have to have full knowledge about Christ because I was asking for signs of the truth he showed me and I didn’t think much of it I did at the time. But I don’t have full knowledge but I know abit does that verse count for me ? I’m a believer in Christ but also a conspiracy freak so it’s kinda hard, but I do put my trust in Jesus now I was just wondering if u could answer that question man thanks ❤️🤝

@@RoseDaSosa Hello friend, I don't really understand the entirety of the question you're asking. Still, I will try to help by answering to the best of my abilities based on what I got from this. I'd first like to start by saying that I will give you the best interpretation I can with reference verses and such. But in diversity of opinions and advice wisdom is found. So I advise you to look for multiple variations or even speak to your local pastors and teachers of the scriptures. Also, feel free to comment again with any further questions if I misunderstood anything. Alright, so the first question you asked is if according to Hebrews 10:26, you have the full knowledge about Christ. Then you later went on to say that "But I don’t have full knowledge, but I know a bit". From this, I assume you thought that "full knowledge" meant regard to the scriptures. That is true to an extent but to be more specific we must consider that this chapter on Hebrews is talking about the matters of Jesus, the importance of his death, and not taking his blood in vain. So in other words the gospel. This we can further back up with the fact that the gospel is called "the gospel of truth" such as in Ephesians 1:13 where it says, "In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise". By this we know the Gospel is "The truth" spoken of by Paul here is the gospel. So it makes sense that " full knowledge of the truth" means full knowledge of the Gospel. So if you believe and understand the gospel that's all you need to qualify. Then the choice is given between damnation (trampling on the blood of the son of God, Rejecting the truth and the spirit of truth all by remaining in your sin) or Salvation (putting your faith in Christ, that being, believing what he did in the cross/ the purpose and trying your best to be faithful to his commandments and walking in his ways). As for what Paul is saying in Hebrews 10:26 (For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.) he is reminding those who believe in Christ knowing the truth of the gospel that if one does not turn from sin they insult the holy spirit and Jesus and in doing so do evil towards the only one who has the authority to forgive sins. Because in the past you could sin and defile that sacrifice and do it all over again. But if one defiles the sacrifice of Jesus there is no other sacrifice to turn to besides him. Paul is talking to those who are saved about how much worse sin is now and how important it is to follow god as you should. He is doing this by displaying how one whose faith does not match their works (those who draw back). I believe this because the bible makes it clear that a Christian can not practice sin and be submissive to it. Also how he ends the chapter by saying. " But we are not of those who draw back to [o]perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul." (Hebrews 10:39). Making a distinction between those who are saved and those who draw back. Hope this helped.

Jeremiah 32:40 is not a new testament fear of God. Jesus defined the fear of God when he answered the devil in the wilderness. Jesus quoting from Deuteronomy 10:20 changed the fear of God to the worship of God. So it's a reverence of God, not a fear like you would fear a snake!
