Cheese definitely :D and my boy kitty loves eggs, he's always in the kitchen when he sees me making some variety of eggs for breakfast lol, he'll meow at me until I offer him a tiny piece.
just wanted to know..are you guys veterinary doctors or just repeating what YOUR vet docs told you? what your saying is nice and all..but are you qualified to despense this knowledge, and what school did you go to?

My "soulmate" cat, Pywacket, who died a few years ago, loved bananas. One time, he became ill (not from bananas, but from steroids the vet prescribed for another problem. Steroids compromise the immune system.) He wouldn't eat anything or drink water. I had to rush him to an emergency vet for hydration, which helped him a lot, but he still wouldn't eat. Since he loved bananas so much, the vet suggested I try to feed him banana baby food. It worked! He happily lapped it off the spoon, and it got him through the next day until his fever broke. Then he recovered.
Hi, I'm so happy that you uploaded this! I have a video on my channel showing my 2 gingercats eating mixed carrots, greenbeans, and corn as a treat! My oldest cat, Lil Bit is a tuxedo cat and he's 6 years old and once in awhile he likes to eat pieces of warm cornbread in buttermilk. He takes back after me! Lol 😂
@@ThePurringJournal Wow! You love cornbread and buttermilk too? Yeah I'm making myself hungry also! 😋😂 Yeah Lil Bit is the only one out of the 5 cats that I have that's really crazy about cornbread and buttermilk. Do you know if that's safe for him to eat as treat?
My cat catches mice and birds, and then eat them. Clearly they contain bones and are raw. I have no way of stopping him from doing that. He is 7 years now and the vet says it’s perfectly fine for him to do so.
I think cooked bones are the problem. They break down differently then raw ones and can cut the insides of your pet. I also know raw bones have a lot of health benefits.
I think the worry of raw meat is that chickens and such from factorized farms either have more parasites or more antibiotics in them because how they are grown. And then the long transportation.
See, my cat Shadow goes GAGA for Blueberry Muffins, and now I know the occasional chunk is okay for him in moderation. He's gonna love you guys now, cause he's gonna finally get his fruity treat.
One of my kitties likes to steal cornbread with cheese and sometimes he enjoys a tablespoonful of goat yoghurt. I don't eat eggs, meat and fish, so meat and fish that come into the house is just for five of them
My late cat Felix loved cake! He was crazy about it! Cake and muffins! He could be fast asleep, I would sneak into the kitchen to eat a muffin - as soon as the paper rustled, he was wide awake and came running, demanding a muffin!
If Kitty won't drink enough water, try this: keep a jug full of fresh water on the floor. Or even several. Cats prefer to drink out of jugs rather than food bowls. By the way, some cats are allergic to fish.
Every thanksgiving we set aside the gizzards, boil them, comp them up, and add gravy to them for the cats. Of course they got the turkey meat and ham too but it was always their special day treat. We all got fat on that day XD
my grandmothers old cat did love sliced cucoumbers and also like sliced (thinly) tomatoes and Agaricus from a can (he didnt like the fresh ones), and also bell peppers bits (the red ones)... he was a odd one but lovable. Other things he loved was Swiss roll with Arrack tasting (non alcoholic) cream fillings. None of it could have been bad for him in the amount he ate it since he died when he was 19 years old of cancer... oh and also he prefered to "steal" the swizz roll from her plate to have it given to him
My cat loves to eat the grass I grow for him inside. I always have it on hand for him, Now that he's lost his front teeth (geriatric, 17+ estimate how old he is) he loves that I pick the grass and feed him about 5 shorter blades of fresh grass before meals, it keeps him somewhat regular. He also loves organic lettuce when I make my salads!
I don't get why they shouldn't eat raw fish or meat occasionally. I used to give her that, sometimes. This just doesn't make sense to me! Besides if they are outside cats, everything they get, is raw! 🤯🤯🤯
afaik it is because raw meats in supermarket isn't as fresh and healthy as if the cat catch them in the wild. if you grow your own chicken in the backyard and give cat a piece as you butcher the chicken, it is likely fine.
Whenever cats loves vegetables. Every morning he wants a couple leaves of baby spinach. I discovered he liked broccoli and cauliflower when I left some in a pot. He stole a whole spear of asparagus from my plate when my back was turned and ate it all. He is an eager hunter and steals when he can, so many nights he gets a sample before I make ours. We throw kibble for our cats to chase and he loves that game. And he loves cheese.
The only time I give my beloved fur baby people food is on her birthday which is the anniversary of her being adopted by me and holidays but I give it a very small amounts and I make sure to check with my vet that she is able to have it before I give it to her sometimes when I come home from work I work in a seafood restaurant I'll give her a little treat such as unseasoned seafood or unseasoned steak that has been thoroughly cooked because I treasure her and I want her to live a long and happy life with me 🌹🥰💕
My cat likes cheese (or really any sort of dairy food, he'll also drink milk and eat whipped cream which of course we only give him sparingly in tiny amounts), and of course meat. With fish, he doesn't like salmon but he does like tuna/white fish.
I really hate that commercially available meat or vegetable bullion always has garlic and or onions in the ingredients. Like I shouldn't be able to decide to put that sort of thing in myself if I want to, but it seems like they just sadistically design it to not be cat safe.
2:00 - I'm sure kitty will use her judgement and not have a taste-test of the grapes when you are out at work/shopping/ having a bath etc... My niece's cat used to love biting into aloe vera leaves; never ate them, just seemed to like the bite. She lived to 24. Our cat always loved frozen peas :-) !
My cat loves: Chicken (she goes mental for it) Ham Pork Bacon Corned beef Spam Sausages Cheese Doesn’t eat them but loves playing with Peas And she doesn’t get these every day but yes the little (piglet) cat is a fatty! 😻😺
I had a hard boiled egg for breakfast earlier, and my cat kept following me around before starting to meow at me to try some egg. I gave her a bit of the yolk and she absolutely loved it
I make gizzards. The key is to cook them in chicken broth for like 8 hours with some onions and other things like you're making soup. And some people like them just like that I actually like that a lot of chili powder and some hot sauce to spice it up. But then I take mine out and I fried them and they are so good obviously I wouldn't go into the cats if I fried them but now I know that before I do I can give them a few as long as I don't put the onions and the garlic in or I can put them aside and cook them for the kitties their way
I've actually had cats that threw up when we gave them wet cat food that had eggs in it. So now im a bit skeptical about feeding my cats eggs, but it was probably just the specific cats (who happened to be siblings)
Cheese is bad for cats as too high in phosphorus !! That deteriorates kidneys !! So,it is especially very bad for elder cats !! As well as cats had or who are prone to kidney stones ,or lower urinary tract disease. 💜🥁🐉🎤💞
My cat often wants some of my blueberry muffin whenever I have one. I'll sometimes give him a small crumb, but I know the sugar isn't good for him so it's never more than that.
Super chuffed you posted this! I had turkey last week and my kitten basically just stole it! So I’m really glad that she’s alright. Do you think lollipops are alright? My dam bit one last night and I’m concerned it might be bad for her health
In general, olives are safe for cats as long as they are only given a very small amount once in a while. 😺 Source: www.hillspet.com/cat-care/nutrition-feeding/can-cats-eat-olives-and-olive-oil
My cat had a raw diet from the age of 14 until she passed away from kidney failure at the grand age of 19. She never had any problems with bone or illness you mentioned. And supermarket food is just a glorified drink. Cats don't find tins of food in the wild do they?
Your list is so vague, it's useless. But here's something that should be on the list.... mayonnaise. Probably. It's just pasteurized eggs and a (probably) safe highly unsaturated vegetable oil. Be wary of the ingredient list, making sure it has no onions or garlic in it though. My cat Bullet is anorexic and always too skinny but he likes mayonnaise so that's something I give him some of which has lots of calories. Ideally get one which uses olive oil as its vegetable oil, rather than canola or soybean oil. There seems to be some concern over the safety of canola oil to cats as it may have some small quantities of substances that are poisonous to cats if not processed properly.
Dear Purring Journey, thank You for your advice. I'd like to ask what You think about olive oil. Would you recommand it? Or could it be harmful? Thank You so much. Lorella
I don't get it. Why would you feed an obligate carnivor fruits or vegetables, ditto the whole grains? Are these people paid by big pet food companies (who often add these fillers to cat foods for increased profits)?
Now I'm confused! The video with no no foods you included fish. Now it's OK? Great you mentioned sardines. On the rare time I have sardines they're canned and in water and my two get one each.
They can eat it but are more prone to get diseases or digestive problems. This is especially true with the meats we humans buy because of processing and time to market causes more issues in the meat's safety and quality. Higher quality, fresher, and wilder the meat will have less risk to the animal eating it.
I buy raw chicken and fish online from Darwin's Natural Pet foods. It has been specially "grown" and prepared for cats and will not cause disease if eaten raw.
The avocado flesh is perfectly fine for a cats, as long as they eat it in small amounts but, the avocado fruit and the avocado seeds contain a toxin called persin. Cats are rarely affected by it but it might cause vomiting and diarrhea.
Dog and cats eat raw food, it is far better for them than commercial pet food, many people feed their pets raw diet (just ytube it) so don't let anyone tell you it's bad for them 👍
While yes, your cat can eat raw meat, If cats in the wild knew how to cook meat, they would. Cooked meat has much letter bacteria and is easier to digest. I could be wrong but I'm pretty confident in that
afaik it is because raw meats in supermarket isn't as fresh and healthy as if the cat catch them in the wild. if you grow your own chicken in the backyard and give cat a piece as you butcher the chicken, it is likely fine.
I have one cat that turns her tail to anything but wet cat food! My boy steals the tomatoes, begs for watermelon and bananas, rolls the avocados into a corner and loves apples. 🙃
Whenever we eat steak we always let my cat have the leftover blood thats in the packaging, thats his absolute favorite. Otherwise he gets to eat almost any leftovers. We give him chicken with bones and he will just bite through the bones, no worries.
I hope by good quality cat food you don't include dry food. Dry cat food is terrible for cats and the main cause of diabetes. It's extremely high in carbohydrates.
