Good morning! Today, I'm sharing a typical Tuesday in my van life, with a bit of overcast and rain. I started my day at a coffee shop, getting some computer work done. I planned to talk about the things I've gained from van life, but I've been so absent-minded lately. Is anyone else feeling this way? Maybe it's a full moon or something.
I've been on estrogen and progesterone and thought I'd give an update since I talked about it before. I'm off Lexapro now and feeling good. However, I recently had a clumsy moment and spilled my medication dish. I lost one of the pills outside the van and still can't find the other one inside. Luckily, I have a couple more, so it's not a big problem, but it's like the Bermuda Triangle in here!
At work yesterday, I shared this with a friend at Walgreens. I'm on estrogen patches and progesterone pills. The patches are supposed to be easier on the liver. I keep the patches in a small travel pill holder, but they disappeared! I searched my 19ft van up and down, but they're nowhere to be found. It's driving me crazy.
On top of that, I wear retainers at night. Imagine me looking like a character from the Brady Bunch! I use Polident to clean them, but it's been chaotic around here. I joked with my friend that someone might have stolen my estradiol patches, but everything else is here. It's been quite the week!

I have to admit I’m the happiest when I’m traveling.. I live on the Oregon coast in a beautiful home and town but all I think about is buying an RV and hitting the road😂😊 Enjoy your videos and thanks for sharing your life

i made a friend this week his 2018 tacomia pickup box was smashed in walmart parking lot.new boxside was on national backorder so i fixed it using colllision glue and pdr rods he was so happy.thats what makes me happy making people happy at m,y 62 years old.insurance had down for new boxside unfixabile.they forget us old guys that can fix stuff took me 15 hours of hell was hard on body.love your videos and inspiration!

I've been busy all morning and decided I'm done for the day. I came into my bedroom and sat in my recliner and turned on RU-vid on my TV. I could see your channel but I couldn't find the remote I just used to turn it on. It's not even funny! I looked around and just called my son who was in the kitchen and asked if he would find it which he did on the side of my recliner which I already looked in the sale location. You are not losing it!

Don't feel bad. Today I took a padlock off my gate and within 1 hour's time I could not find it for the life of me! It is nowhere to be found. I ended up having to order another one from Amazon.

Every place I have ever lived there has been a gremlin that makes things disappear and it still continues...Thankfully nothing important...Went through the pills at 31 with a hysterectomy and then patches came out which were wonderful!! Now nothing because of my age. We all find out our own way at different stages and glad you have found yours 🥰

I just misplaced my car keys this afternoon. I know where they should be but they aren't. When I'm thinking too far ahead I don't pay attention to the moment. I do have another set so hopefully when I wake up I'll remember.

I'm on the exact same HRT. Don't you just hate losing stuff in your own space?! 🤪 Love the list of things you gained during van life! Although for me, the part about "if you don't like your neighbors you can just leave" was a huge PITA. I would get parked somewhere and plan to work for a couple of hours and end up having to pick everything up and find some place else because of a thumping base or whatever. In the middle of the night, you're kind of stuck there. I think the fact that you've gained more than you lost is what matters. We're out her rooting for you!

I once lost my van keys after unlocking the van and packing up. Was about to call for a tow to get a new key (they did not offer mobile service). Methodically repeated all my actions in reverse order one more time, and found them attached to the magnet in my window cover that I had folded up and put away. Whew!

It's so frustrating to misplace stuff, then can't, to save your life, figure out where it is or what the heck happened. Seems like those things happen to me when I'm stressed & have too many issues going on in my life, & my brain can't juggle it all. I hope that's fairly normal. 🤔🤞🤞 If not...ouch! 🤪 Oh well. From what I can see, you have a lot on your plate. Worrying about all the day to day living, survival stuff, in addition to helping & wanting to protect your wonderful Mom...it is a lot. You're not crazy, you're just dealing with life. I think you're doing a wonderful job of doing just that. In stressful times, my Dad always told my Mom, " Honey, don't worry. Everything always works out." I think of that often, & somehow I feel much better. God bless you & Joy! 🙏🤗

When I was in the Yukon I suddenly could not find the 2K in Canadian that I brought to pay for the trip. Had cash to avoid foreign transaction fees. Looked for days, panicking. Finally I took the drawers out of the cabinet that is where I thought I put it last. Turned out the envelope must have got hooked on something and fell to the bottom of the cabinet. Whew. Utah, go to Flaming Gorge, it is great.

I’ve lost my phone a number of times in my van. How does one lose something in 80sq ft? I’m lucky enough to work out of it. Allows my dog and I to spend lots of fun time. I did the 9-5 and was miserable. After purging everything from storage I’ll never go back.

It was really really frightening for me driving from Utah through Wyoming and Nebraska on the way back to Minnesota with the high winds in a hightop Sprinter. It’s part of the reason why I stopped living in my van. I felt so very out of control. How did you get past your experience?

The drive back from Florida to Minnesota with 35 mph winds the whole way aged me like 15 years! I was ready to quit myself! I’ve been able to recover from it because I’m in Minnesota now taking care of my mom. It’s like having a baby I guess. You forget all the pain and somehow end up doing it again 😁💜

I dont believe in living anywhere for a long time. I think that is the worst life; seeing the same things day after day, going to the same places and doing the same things. I don't know how anyone can be happy living like that. Right now the problem is i own my home and have lived here for almost 4 years. I live close to the water and like the area so im afraid i wont be able to find anywhere better. But im 56 so maybe i need to just stay here. But im getting bored of going to the same places. I have to see new things and places!

Your not crazy tracey, the only thing you forgot about was the monkies i drove by your van the other day and said what the hell are those monkies doing? They were out behind the van playing tortilla toss, kind of like corn hole i ßid man is tracey gonna be mad ,, they got into her corn street taco tortillas the little ones. well i guess i know now they wernt street taco tortillas they knew youd be comming home from walgreens one kept looking at his arm and there it was the missing watch i dont have any monkies but i do have imps in my shop,, go in to have lunch when you come back all your tools are moved around or missing . The little stack of metal pieces you just cut "gone" no where to ne found so ive determined imps are just as bad as monkies maybe sit down and have @ talk with them i tried that but everytime i try to find them to talk to them "gone" just like the tools ask kieth i bet hes dealt with imps before❤❤

Huge houses are ridiculous. The older you get the less you really need. I want to build a tiny house next. The beach house I built is 2/1 700 sq. Feet and it’s plenty, but my perfect arrangement would be small tiny and another small tiny for studio. You are fine. Life is always an adventure. I also like being in the van, it is freedom being on the road.

@@AdvanturesOver50 Sorry Tracey it just sounded a little chaotic. Sometimes try not doing anything and clear your mind. Also its not so much fun for me to travel and stop at different places since my wife dies in 2017. Just me and my 2 dogs in a 45' motorhome travelling south in the winter to Texas and back to Indiana in the summer to enjoy time with my daughters. I'll travel for a month or two between seasons just to view places. Thanks and enjoy yourself

You make it sound easy. I currently have a lot on my plate and have a lot to think about and can’t avoid it. You still have to live in reality and take care of important things with Joy being top of the list. Don’t judge until you’re in someone’s shoes.
