The cost of food here is insane.

I dont know whats the point of going to a tourist trap just to say food is overpriced and average because it tastes fresh the real aussies and real places to eat arent in the city or tourist areas its in the suburbs and its not compulsory to tip in aus there isnt a tipping culture but the people in the city know there r tourists so they can take advantage of others

You'll need to make sure you spend some time down in Melbourne! The food scene here is amazing, super diverse, really good options for any craving or cuisine you could think of, not to mention we have the best coffee/cafes in Aus (my opinion may or may not be bias 😄). Also, please never think you are required to leave a tip, more and more restaurants/cafes are trying to bring tipping to normality, however we are not a tipping culture, I highly suggest you only leave a tip when you thoroughly enjoyed your meal or received exceptional service. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos 😊

I really don’t know how you are able to afford the pricier and expensive suburbs like Surry Hills , Western Sydney is more affordable and a little bit cheaper than say the city or northern beaches especially in terms of rental market.

So great to see someone who enjoys their food ! Don't miss a lunch at the Sydney fish market if you haven't been there yet.

I am just so here for the Australia/sydney vlogs! Will you be doing any travel when you are here. A few recommendations for vegetarian/vegan food.... oh my days cafe in glebe, fishbowl (expensive but worth it every now and then... vegan options but i usually just build my own), newtown have endless options for vegetarian/ vegan meals (probably the best in Sydney) and a new Cafe over in the northern beaches (which you must get to) vegilicious. I can give you heaps more suggestions but i won't overwhelm you! Ps. I don't know you at all but i can tell that you have such a kind soul. Lean into that 😊

Quick thoughts from a long term Sydney resident -- Neither Coogee (nor Bondi, especially) are really the best areas Sydney has to offer -- (although I do understand they are touted as the best locations, for tourists). They do tend to be over-priced and over-inflated in my opinion.

I suggest withdrawing more money at ince so you avoid having to pay extra cost everytime haha

DON'T TIP......We don't. Your bill is what you pay.Read the fine print ,make sure there aren't any unreasonable surcharges,unless it's a designated holiday.

From an aussie, tipping culture is not a thing here! as we get paid a wage and everything we buy already has a GST (goods and services tax) already included in the price 😊
