HEY FRIENDS! Today we've got ourselves a lil home vlog PLUS a special segment on what I bring to rehearsal for DISASTER THE MUSICAL! If ya didn't know, I'm assistant directing for the first time EVER and it happens to be for Disaster-- a super crazy, ridiculous, fun, disco romp parody through the iconic disaster survival movies of the 1970s!
Of course, we're not rehearsing right now-- in fact, we're not quite sure what the fate of our show will be. Hopefully, life will get back to normal soon and we'll be able to resume rehearsals! My spring musical (Grease, I was stage managing) was cancelled a few weeks ago and I'm pretty sure my summer musical (Matilda, I'm playing Mrs. Phelps) is going to be cancelled soon. Which sucks because I'm a senior. We're in it together 💜

Okay listen; I just binged ALL of your second channel vids (because what the heck else am I gonna do it quarantine? lol) and tbh I honestly think we would get along VERY well! Our personalities are similar, but would definitely work well together, our interests are the same, AND we both love Rapunzel probably more than anyone else in the entire world! Working with an iPad is so helpful! My theatre company was about to do the musical version of Madagascar (it is postponed) and this was the first show I used an iPad for all the lyrics, notes and other stuff and I loved that!

Unrelated to this subject, but I'm in Aladdin and they're gonna do rehearsals on zoom starting on Monday... Don't know how that's gonna go, since we can only read lines, but is anyone else doing this?

Yes, I am currently in 3 shows right now and I have been rehearsing on Google hangouts. My only tip about doing online rehearsals is you should always go somewhere where you have space and you can go full out with lines/blocking/choreo, etc. I hope this was helpful! Break-A-Leg!!!!

So I was really scared our show was going to be cancelled like last year (we have 3 nights of show every year and the last day was cancelled, which just happened to be the day my family was going to watch). However, it didn’t! It’s not going to be with a live audience though. First we thought maybe we should do something over zoom like Starkid’s nightmare time, but somehow our teacher managed to get the big stage in our local theatre for two days and we will have someone be filming it professionally!
