Hi Bricksie. Thank you so much for sharing your history and background with us. Your parents and the store most definitely shaped you and made you the person you are today. I think that's part of the reason why you love showing us Jose and the twins. You are all about family in your business, and that's what makes your channel so unique. Keep it up Bricksie. We love it.
A lot of my collector coins are in 2x2’s I bought from this store in 1990’s. Loved rummaging through the boxes of bulk foreign coins in boxes by the cash register. Thanks for memory lane tour Jordan.
Hello sir, I've been watching your videos since I'm 15, and now I just turned 18 this sept 17. I love watching your shopping videos so much information about legos I have learned from you that made me a lego fan. I don't have a lot of lego collections because I can't afford expensive stuff, but your videos giving me unboxing lego experiences I've never had. Thank you so much sir! Keep posting videos like this I love it.
Maybe the best video you've ever made. Super inspiring and impressive. Thanks for the fascinating trip into history and the awesome tour. When I eventually make it out west to Edmonton I will definitely check out the store.
What a story! Respect to you and your dad for what you have built up! Thank you for sharing this story; it is heart warming to hear how your family worked all together also in the past. I can see where you have it from, what you do now with your own adorable family!!!
It is a small world. I have visited this store every time I have been to West Edmonton Mall since I was a teenager. Which hasn't been that often because I don't live in Edmonton. I have bought some of my starwars collection from here.
Nice one. Cool as .how cool would it of been. Haveing a family with a cool store like that. Add thay might have cool stuff but to make a good amount of Mony every day is the hard part. You just never know how Manny people s come into a store. And cas of the over head costs. Just for a shop plus risk of stock. In the store. An not at home. Insurance $$ plus an like Jordan seed. Their time s where a store might not make much Mony. So in the more Busey munths got to sale as much as you can to cover for the less buyser times. Can tottaly see why. Jordan is the way he is now. Cas of this store .😊
My sister and I went to the West Edmonton Mall this past summer when visiting Edmonton and while we were at the Lego store packing PAB boxes, another customer there told us your parents owned that store, so we checked it out. It is indeed an awesome store and the staff were very friendly and professional! Thanks for sharing your story☺
That is such a cool store and a cool story. That is crazy that you used to work there and now you are a RU-vidr that has 430k subscribers. That is crazy how life works. Keep up the great work. 👍
I recently watched your vid from about 3 years ago on how you got started with lego, from selling Pokémon cards to working through school to uni, so this is a great vid showing where you worked and what a cool place to learn about business.....and it's close to the Lego store ha ha awesome..
Hey Jordon! I live in the UK. I want to come to Edmonton, Canada now to see your store! It is amazing! You are right, it takes a lot of time, effort and dedication to build up a family business as you vlogged. Well done!
Jordan, thanks so much for sharing this part of your journey! You truly are an inspiration. You set the benchmark for engagement, passion and ultimately, HARD WORK. We see how much you put into this and thoroughly enjoy watching it all. Thank you for being YOU and so being so genuine. Of course, we also appreciate the support you get from Mrs Bricksie, too!!
I myself consider I’m a collector first than a AFOL. I’m into car models from greenlight to hotwheels, have most US 50 state quarters, glass/marble crafts, personal sport medals, etc. I’ll take anything home as long as it resonates with me. Actually surprised you’re not into collecting other stuff Bricksie, would have never imagined you had this background. Thanks for sharing
I actually found you on some old 2+ year old videos from this Store making recommendations on coin albums and protectors and different options to store my Canadian coins. I recognized you and put in a comment on that old video, shouting you out. This make a lot of sense now why I had seen you there. Amazing what your family and you put together in here. I was in West Ed. Mall back in 2012, I remember a store similar to this one, so maybe I visited this store back then. Congrats on your success, never stop looking forward
Loved this episode Jordan! While I was aware of your connection to this store your story has been very interesting! Have loved going to this store even before the LEGO Store came to the mall so was always a destination if I came to town. So getting a description and breakdown was great as whenever I went it was way too busy to stay long or talk with staff. Thank you. And have a great and safe trip to Billund :)
Awesome man, I’ve been on this journey with you since 2019. Good to hear your back story, I remember a lot of the things that were popular around the same ages, fun times for sure. Keep surviving!
My husband and I visited your Dads store on our honeymoon in Canada from New Zealand. It is a very memorable store!!! never seen anything like it before. Would love to visit again one day.
I had no idea that store had comics, and all of that! Thank you for showcasing it! I’m going to have to go get some graded comics! Really cool to see what you did before RU-vid! Great video!
Love the personal touch to the channel this is why I come to bricksie !!! If we could only sprinkle in more timely reviews 😂 in all seriousness we appreciate you thanks for the daily uploads
You need that santas workshop - ask for it for Christmas 🎅 - it’s so so cool that you have gone out on your own venture I have worked with so many people that are bosses sons that don’t deserve what they have have because they don’t appreciate it and work for it they just hang on the coat tails. seeing you progress as we have on your channel it’s clear you would have worked so so hard on the collectible store if you hadn’t been busy working so so hard to entertain us all on RU-vid. But lastly you need that santas workshop 😂
What a great store. I could spend hours in there. I worked in a sports card shop when I was 13 and it really brought out the collector in me... Thanks for sharing this story.
Hey bricksie. Just wanted to come in here to tell you that you are braking my bank by being inspirational to get me a vinter/ Christmas village this year 😂😂. Can't wait for my order comes. Thanks ( I think???) 🤣🤣
This is easily one of your best videos, and that's saying a lot! Love hearing about your story and that store is simply an amazing place to grow up and learn to appreciate hard work! I wasn't ready for this wholesome content! :D
Woah! This is really cool! I’ve loved going to this place everytime I visit and knowing now that it’s run by your family is amazing!! Been a fan of the channel for a long time and seeing this is awesome
SImply incredible considering i'm a collector to, what an inspiration knowing what someone can achieve with years and years dedication, thank you for sharing such an incredible story, much love Bricksie :)
Just joined the member crew! For any followers- I haven’t had time to watch all of Bricksies content. SO MY QUESTION IS “What is your favorite video (build, vlog, info, whatever) that he’s ever created. I watch everyday but I know I’ve missed some cool older stuff! Thanks in advance and have a great start and finish to the week!!!
It is 1:20 AM here in Vilnius, and I am listening to an amazing story 😮 Jordan, I believe that you are a true example to many people how to organize lots of important things in life: work ethics, personal goals, self esteem when the going is rough. Cheers from Lithuania 🇱🇹 P.S.: By the way, you inspired me to start my own Lego city 😃🤩
That must have been amazing growing up in that store. In my 20s I worked in a friend of mom’s comic shop/ book store. It was a blast seeing the new comics and merchandise coming in. I’ve dabbled in collecting so many different things. I’ve slowed down in the collecting. I mostly just collect my 2 favorite things, Pez dispensers and Lego. I did spot one Pez dispenser in the video. As dizzy and blurry as my vision is, I can spot a Pez dispenser anywhere.
Super cool. I'm really surprised you weren't into Lego as a kid though since you grew up around so many collectibles. That business seems like a LOT of work. Big props to your dad.
My dad was a coin & stamp collector for 50+ years, when he died I had to school myself on coins to sell his collection. It's a really interesting stuff, especially foreign.
Ok, THIS is CRAZY. My dad is a rare coin and collectable dealer, and he has been doing it my entire life. He is WELL known in the community, and I would be willing to bet that he and your dad know each other. YOU might even know him! Small small world!
Such a cool video man, thanks for sharing! People underestimate how much one can learn in retail, its why I love it so much. Next trip up the QE2 and I'll be seeing your stepdad!
Wow had no idea your step Dad owned that store!! Staple for xmas shopping for my kids who are all grown up now. Gotta get the latest pokemon packs for them. Been watching your channel for awhile got onto lego last year. Build a discgolf hole beach & small downtown area. Fantastic vid. First comment on your channel. Keep up the awesome work. Gotta root for a home town guy....lol.
Hey your family store looks like my house but tidier! 😅🤣😅. I’ve collected stamps and games for 60 years and progressed to Lego 5 years ago. Love your Dads store.
Nice video. Please keep creating this type of content, I like the not strictly Lego videos. This place reminded me of a comic book store I went to growing up. In elementary school / middle school my mom would drop me off & go do errands. She got free babysitting for the cost of 1 Batman comic lol
