Happy Wednesday 🤗 what did you eat today? I hope you always eat well ❤❤❤

Love seeing the hydrangeas starting to bloom! It's one of my favourite flowers. It always brightened up the rainy season in Japan for me. It's fun to see what you eat in a day and get some inspiration. To be honest both me and my husband never eat breakfast, it's a habit I had since I was a child. Now it's just coffee for me, I'll eat something halfway through the morning. My daughter always eats breakfast. From toast to soup or rice as well as porridge or overnight oats. I really make an efford to make it varied. For lunch bread is the traditional food and both my husband and daughter eat simple sandwiches. I tried giving her bento to school, she really wanted that but kids in her class stoarted teasing her with it so back to bread we went. Today me and my doaughter were lucky as my mom treated us to a Dutch favourite fish dish called kibbeling. It's fried white fish with a remoulade sauce. For myself it's usually some leftovers for lunch if I have them. I would like to cook for lunch as well but right now I don't have the energy to do that with a lot going on. I really hope prices will go down here soon and that Japanese things will become easier available again because now it is hrad to get and very expensive. So usually it is only a few Japanese dinners and the rest western style dinners. Tonight it will be chicken skewers I will grill with rice salad and some greens. Every late spring/early summer we have a 4 day tradition here called the evening four days. It's an organised walking event so my daughter and my husband will walk 5 km every night that is set out. Today is the second day so it's really easy dinners this week. Seeing the warabi mochi package made me nostalgic. I haven't been in Japan in the summer since I lived there 10 years ago so haven't had warabi mochi for so long. I definitely will this summer!

I had some oranges and a soda and pizza and cheese bread with an iced coffee. ( Not very healthy) usually I eat healthy food but not today I will have mushrooms and miso soup later.
