Listen. I loved this channel before for flavorful vegan meals without obscure ingredients. But I'm seeing these knife skills and prepping clean more and more. And my chef's heart has grown in size. Now. NOW I know what love is. Thank you.
@Andrew Bernard | The Nard Dog Cooks No really, thank you. I'm becoming more and more plant-based off of your recipes because it's basically what I've already got stocked. And i feel good. And legit, your style of the recipe up front and the fun commentary in the back is what we need right. now. Can you go snatch all these food vloggers and bloggers and tell them that I don't need their whole life story on the front end when a sister is hungry? Please and thanks. Lol.
I used to think eating healthy and/or worrying about protein was purposeless. You know the “make sure you eat your greens” line… So crazy how “small” changes can make the biggest differences in life 😅
Thank you Mr. Nard Dog! I am 71 and was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. I have been an avid bodybuilder and athlete since I was a teen. Your food has transformed me and the way you present is so sincere and honest I can't tell you how much I respect that Nard Dog. Thanks for everything and I will keep in touch.
I believe I shall be prepping that taco goodness for my lunches this week. So, Andrew, how much pressure are you under now that you've started a cult of tiny whisk devotees?
🤦🏾♂️ ya know!!! 😂 It has be a challenge for sure but what i love is the growth and creativity it inspires for me. who would have known the baby whisk would be stealing all the spotlight!? 🤷🏾♂️
@Andrew Bernard | The Nard Dog Cooks You've created a really fun community, my friend. Keep on creating, cooking, and baby whisking, and we'll be here for it. All hail, baby whisk.
Don't let Michael B. Jordan define you... BHAHAHAHAHAHA! You're beautiful just as you are. I"m a CPT, Fitness Nutrition Specialist and did the plant based nutrition coarse through e-Cornell and the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. I could go on and on about protein and bulking but the interwebs would just beat met up out here. I used to always be looking for the "quick fix" or the "easy way out" or the "fastest results" (also known as 3 things that don't exist) in regards to nutrition. As humans, we only fail when we give up exploring what does and doesn't work for us individually. Our bodies, our journeys, our genetics, our food / nutrition choices (many based on cultural influences) and the list goes on... Makes each and every one of us so uniquely different that there is no one size fits all approach to fitness and nutrition. Thanks for sharing YOUR journey, insights and strategies with us. It's through this sharing that we can learn from each other and pull overall wellness in a positive, forward direction. PEAAAAAACCCCCCCE!
you're so right 🤔, maybe i need to get Michael B. Jordan to see me. Then he can use me to define him! 😂 Thank you so much! And spot on as always! There is no fast track. It takes work, patients, persistence, etc. Its almost like you should never lose focus in being a student.
Its such a wondeful thing when a man can prepare such attactive meals....God knows im scared when they are so damm good at it. LOL they see every and taste every error..hell im no chef
Can I just say how much I love your videos and the content you provide ( and I watch a lot of cooking YT videos). It’s all so calm and relaxing and yet inspiring ( and funny 😉). Thank you from the bottom of my heart, keep up the incredible work, greetings from Poland!
If you want a high protein (wheat gluten), low fat, amazing pancake, try this one. 1 Cup Flour 1 Cup Wheat Gluten 4 tsp. Baking Powder Pinch of Salt 2 Tbs Sugar 2 Cups Soy Milk 2 Flax Eggs 4 Tbs. Apple Sauce 1 tsp. Vanilla Adjust batter thickness as needed
This is truly the best food/wellness/and more channel I have found on RU-vid so far. I was diagnosed with a dairy and egg allergy and it has been a tough week. I have found your channel and I am so happy. I have been watching so many of your videos and these recipes are DELICIOUS. I feel so much better mentally and physically. Thank you so much for sharing your passion with us 🥹🧡
HEY!!!! thank you so much for such a kind comment! you're amazing! i am really sorry to hear about your week. i wasnt diagnosed when changing my diet but i can understand how tough it can be and hope this week starts to become much better for you. i am truly happy you found my channel and it beneficial for you. thank you so much for sharing your story! ❤️
Wow, this video is so helpful! As someone who's been trying to incorporate more plant-based meals into my diet, I'm always looking for new recipe ideas. Your meals look so delicious and easy to make, and I love that they're high in protein too. I definitely want to try 🙂
Thank you so much for all your hard work you do with these videos and amazing recipes! Its greatly appreciated!! My friends & husband are all so impressed with these amazing meals .
So I made the tacos and my 8 year old daughter said they were the best. (I did make my own less spicy taco seasoning.) This is definitely going into our regular rotation. Thanks!
Please, can someone tell me the brand of the pan he uses? As a non english speaker I don't understand everything all the time. I'd be very grateful, his pan seems high quality 🙏
These are great! I've gotten into taco bowls for lunch. Bell peppers and either black beans or refried over rice. Hot sauce or salsa to taste. I am going to have to try that tofu method with the cornstarch too. Have a great day! ✌
anyone else get a purple carrot ad mid video with andrew in it!!!! that is perfect timing! also what stainless steel pan do you use in your videos? i was completely shocked by the pancake with zero sticking! not even a teaspoon of butter in that pan? how is that possible
Tofu is the best plant protein source not because it has more than peas or beans, in fact it has pretty much the same amount, however Tofu has very few carbohydrates (sugar) wich is good if you are not sporty and only need your daily 0.8g of protein per body kg. Carbohydrates (sugar) is like fuel for your body, if you're not very active, and don't do sports, you don't need much, peas, beans, they have far more sugar than proteins.
@@thenarddogcooks obviously it depends on what your cooking, but if your making something with a sauce then you can use the gills in the sauce which gets rid of that slimey watery texture. Then if your using say a white mushroom you can use the white as bits of chicken, which works well if you roughly cut them I find.
Love your videos, your such a nice young man Do you ever do any meals for those of us looking to lose weight on plant based? 65 year old woman , very active was vegan plant based, during covid we sold our house moved into a shed while building a new Tina house on land we bought in the country, well any way gained 40 lbs and lazy with eating more vegetarian now, but would like to get back to eating better!
hey! thank you, Lynn! I dont typically call out my weight loss recipes but i have plenty. my website is makeitdairyfree.com , you can check out recipes there. when i was looking to lose weight i used a weight loss calculator to determine how many calories i needed to eat. you can "google" a weight loss calc. its so helpful because it help me see that i didnt need to really change what i ate. i needed to focus on portions. hope that helps!
FYI, the Vegan Sesame Tofu recipe on your website doesn't seem to quite match up with this video. You have already discovered that, though. Thank you for the great recipes!
Hey Andrew thank you sharing these delicious and yes you definitely forgot your avocado for those yummy black bean tacos lol, thank you for those helpful tips also.
Hey Victoria! I havent... But you got me thinking. If i tried i would start with maybe 1/2 a scoop as a test then with the same recipe. then go add more from there if it ended up working out.
9:04 love everything you do here!! You are making my vegan journey sooo much fun. Can you tell me what pans you are using? I cook on a control freak induction burner and need to find pans like these.
@@thenarddogcooks Thank you! yeah its better to get it over with b4 it gets really bad... I was in pain for a while b4 getting an appointment to get them out... hope she feels better asap as well🙏💞
I have tried and miserably screwed up the sesame tofu recipe twice now. In the link to the recipe, it called for a flax egg mixture for the tofu which wasn't shown in the video. And the measurements seem a little off. Do you by any chance have an updated online recipe to follow since the measurements are not specified in the video?
Hi andrew you never disappoint😊will definitely try the tofu dish what type of rice do you use ?thought brown rice was healthier will be waiting for next week😊😊😊
i believe i have! its chorizo made out of soy, right!? In this video ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B5qCUPPRCog.html ) i made vegan chorizo and incorporated a few more things. you could replace the chorizo in there. i also have more im working on for later vids!
Thanks for the great ideas. I’ll be adding these to my rotation, as I am the only vegan in the house. Have you tried Cuban black beans tacos with pickled onions. Oh, my gosh so good! And Buffalo Tempeh Quinoa bowl; I could eat them every week. Have you tried mushroom walnut bourguignon? Even my husband likes it & he’s definitely not vegan.
Hey there! 🌱 Loving this "What I Eat in a Day" video! Those simple, high-protein vegan meals are right up my alley. 💪🥦 And major kudos for keeping it budget-friendly - you're speaking my language! Can't wait to try these out. Keep those awesome vids coming! 🎉🍽
I need to start meal prep. I know I don't eat enough protein and well don't eat enough as it is so I think these recipes look easy to make and would eat it.
Love your videos ❣️. I am vegan AF 💯 FTA and I do mean 💯FTA , so my eating habits should be cleaned up a bit 🫣. These high protein videos are the key 🗝️. You are bringing the flavor, ease and pow 💥 and "THANK YOU" NO MUSHROOMS 🤢🤮. I have been vegan for a very long time and I just can't do mushrooms 😵. I've tried all different ways to cook them tried all different types and NOPE 🚫. So a HUGE THANK YOU ❣️❣️❣️❣️
Hi Andrew! I am loving your channel! I made the Tofu Dinner with that amazing Sesame Sauce for it and that sauce was delicious! When I tasted the sauce I was like Girrrl! Lol but I didn't even have my friends around to even say that! Lol! I love your meals and the way you teach. Great personality/chef! Maybe you and your wife could own a Vegan Restaurant/Food Truck to share these wonderful healthy dishes to the community! 😋 ❤️❤️ Thank you!
As a small child I believed that I didn’t like mushrooms because everyone said they were gross. Until one glorious night when I was an 11 year old attending my mom’s office Christmas party and I could not resist trying the stuffed mushrooms. OH. MAH. GERSH. I have been in love with all mushrooms ever since. Well not the trippy ones but all the others lol!
you know i ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ you right back right!? actually, i have more hearts so i may ❤️ you a bit more.... i know its not a competition.. im just saying 😏
I’ve been following you and must thank you. As an orthodox Christian I just completed the great lent for Easter which doesn’t allow any meat or dairy for 40’days. I’ve never known how healthy and delicious meatless meals can be and plant based. ❤many thanks although I will eat some dairy and meat again you’ve inspired and changed my outlook on food and nutrition. Bless you!
