When making eggplant you should always salt the slices and allow them to sit for a while until they start to sweat a bit. This helps to release the bitterness :) it’s a game changer when making eggplant at home 👌🏽
When eating an eggplant make sure you remember that plants from the nightshade family are a major cause of inflammation. Veganism is a religion, it's not about optimal health...
@@Lena-hg5lw i tried to phrase my comment in a way that would be respectful to others. what i meant is that a lot of people who posts what i eat in a days here or on instagram always seem to be dieting, under eating, or obsessing over "clean eating". i just like that she eats what she wants without promoting a fear of food.
I really like your what I eat in a day videos :) they are refreshing and set a good example of someone eating a wide range of foods and is very healthy!
i’ve started salting my eggplant for at least 15 minutes to get all the excess moisture out! it softens the eggplant a little more and it makes it taste less bitter 😊
i love spicy eggplant!! it's a dish that's pretty common where i live the eggplant is stir fried w spicy sauces (fermented black bean sauce, spicy chilli sauce etc) it's traditionally non vegan but there r so many places selling vegetarian/vegan friendly versions of this dish where i live heheeh my dad makes a pretty nice eggplant dish too he just bakes strips of them in the oven and puts this super concentrated miso sauce mixture on top && i love it ~
For a fantastic meal! Roast the eggplant over the stove and scoop out the insides (it gets soft and yummy) you can add your salt and pepper and eat with bread. It’s super delicious try it
Hi! I’m dairy free but I don’t like coconut cream.... do the daiya yogurts taste like coconut cream? Or does the fruit flavor cover it up? Love your vids!
Salt your eggplant after cutting it and let it sit for like an hour. Then rinse all the salt off before you bread it. That gets a lot of the water content out before cooking
Salting the raw pieces of egg plant and letting them sit for like half an hour, then blotting the juices with a papertowel makes the eggplant less bitter when you're ready to cook it!
You should try making ratatouille! Esp. If you’re cooking for others. It’s a well known and loved dish AND it’s vegan, so win-win. My fave recipe is from Tasty. :-)
Taylor Hairless unfortunately I’m usually working during the big one set up down town that actually has a selection of food. There’s a little one in an actual building near me but she doesn’t sell much. It’s very good fruit. I even eat her peaches and I don’t like peaches normally. But she mainly just sells peaches, tomatoes, honey and flowers Sometimes corn. It’s just a little small shop
Hello! New subie here! I'm so happy I found your channel! I really want to go vegan for my health. I am little scared because I have had bad habits for SO many years. Watching your channel gave me idea that look delicious! Thank you!

@@fbdidhwbahsuxhsb Yes! Look up Dr. Natasha Campbell-Mcbride. I'm telling you, we need animal food! I used to be vegan, i know what it's like. All these people who claim to be vegan for 10+ years and still look healthy, they all cheat and eat meat and don't tell anybody, they all do. Listen to your body!
The only way it wrecks your health is when you aren't educated sufficently and eatinf proper. Being vegan doesn't automatically make u healthy. Nor does being omni. You need to not eat processed foods and eat real food. Unprocessed plant based is the best way to go. And you need to ensure you get everything in each meal. Its about being responsible for your body. Oils should always be used in small amounts, no food is healthy deep fried.
