you spiked my workout journey 4 years ago! I lost 30+ lbs, you helped heal my relationship with food. Then I went to nursing school and completely lost myself. You guys are so gentle and quiet, I can imagine you have a relaxing household. Also, I have had acid reflux for years, and been trying to get to the bottom of it. I have tried everything with food, but have realised that it’s massively to do with anxiety but on a deeper level it’s a deep fear of certain things, things that I realise I need to address and it’s from trauma!! I still actively eat super well, but now don’t obsess about the food because I realised I made it worse by thinking almost everything caused me acid reflux. It’s taken me 10 years to get to this point 😅

I loved everything about this video, I love that you showed simple quick meals as well as meals that take more time. The variety is great. I like the mackarel avocado meal because it's a quick easy meal people can do and nutritious.

Bone broth: chicken or beef bones, 2 carrots, 2 sticks of Celery, a whole large onion, dried or fresh mixed herbs, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, some sort of green onion seasoning❤

I live mostly off of oats, sweet potatoes and rice (alongside healthy fats like avocado and nut butters + plant-based protein sources) and I’m thriving lol ;)

@@Elena-pq8yp not everybody is the same:)) For me, high fat high protein is the way to go, I got my period back, sleeping improved, I was able to build muscles and loose fat as well as longer hair, stronger nails and the list goes on haha

you probably will feel full after that eggs and avo if you put some high fiber carb, like bread,potatoes,brown rice,tortillas,etc.

I guess she is trying to focus more on her fat intake without really bulking or gaining any weight, fat intake is so important for women's hormonal health and it was the number one macro that helped me get my period back since I lost it bc im a CrossFit athlete, it's okay to have one meal a day when it's all just healthy and nutritious fats, i do that sometimes and it has helped me a ton with my hormone balance, she obviously saves up her carb intake for snacks, fruits and other stuff!!

@@christinashomaly You don't need to "save up". I also recover my period adding more fats,but also eating all the macros and all meals helps a lot. You can have a high fat meal whit carbs and protein too,actually will be more satisfying. And yes, if she eats her carbs after and complet her total needs is okey,but if you balance it in all meals would be much easier. (I hope was clear,I don't speak English)

As a Doctor: I don’t agree with what you said about carbs being the least important and in fact a very high protein and fat diet, especially if animal based, can be far more problematic and is one of the leading causes of heart disease. - hence why unprocessed carbs, proteins and fats are recommended by health care professionals… as in a plant heavy diet (no need for fully vegan for health and longevity)

as you can see I don’t have a “very” high fat diet, it’s just a macronutrient that I personally prioritize more alongside with protein, I still eat a great amount of carbs which again you can see in this video :) I have also listened to many podcasts with doctors who say that animal fat along side other healthy fat sources which you see me eating in this video is not bad for our health at all so at this point I think it’s just more important to listen to what feels best for you (again something I really stretched in this video, as we’re all SO different) my blood work has never been better either. The point I was making was to not fear healthy fats especially as a woman.

Personally, I agree with Maryana because of researchers like Zoe Harcombe and Robert Lustig who argue high fat low carb. If you’re interested, their research (and others) is easier to digest (lol) in documentaries such as fat fiction and fed up (robert lustig in particular has lots of lectures made available on youtube if thats more your style). Many have re analysed the studies done on sugar, carbs and fat (Ansel Keys vs John Yudkin) and found Keys’ evidence, that said low fat is the way to go, was cherrypicked and has since been disproven. Personally I find when i follow a high fat low carb lifestyle I have the most energy and best mood, skin, thought clarity etc of my lift- and believe it is the best way the human body can function. Thats not only because of the evidence but another fact that there are essential fats and proteins but no essential carbs. (even though nothing is as simple as summing it up in one sentence, this helps me). Not trying to start a fight, I just hope you found this interesting

Hi Maryana, long time subscriber here. I have a genuine question - why haven't you gone vegan? Have you considered it? I feel like your diet is really close and it would not be a radical change at all, just a few swaps here and there (vegetable broth, vegan butter etc.). That way it would not only be a fit and healthy diet, but also environment-friendly and kind to animals. :)
