Hello! I am a teen who loves cooking and eating healthy. Speaking of brown rice... My family has never been brown rice fans. But... that was until we found Lundberg organic short grain brown rice! I've noticed that in other videos, you use basmati brown rice, which we've used as well, but it's still not our favorite. The short grain brown rice has a much better texture and taste (it doesn't taste like dirt, Lol). For those who still don't enjoy it very much, another option would be to sprout it. You will need to soak it over night, then drain and rinse it (preferably using a jar with a sprouting lid), and let it sit on you counter for 24 hours (tilted upside down so that the moisture drains out). This will make it less chewy and give it an even milder flavor. It will last in your fridge for about 5 days, until you're ready to cook it. We actually enjoy it either way, and I hope you do as well!
Short grain brown rice is the best and, in general, it's the only brown rice we use. It's also the kind that's recommended in the macrobiotic diet/lifestyle. Anyway, it's kind of hard to find and a lot of people don't know about short grain and how much different it can be from the other types!

I make nut butter stuffed dates and have them for afternoon tea almost every day! I also put squares of dark chocolate inside or dip them in melted chocolate, I call them my snickers bars!

You are a great chef and very creative in making Indian dishes vegan. I am a 76 year old disabled woman. I'm having so much fun making your recipes with my secretary. Everything I have made so far has been terrific! The only thing I'm sad about is that because of my disability I can't read hard copies of books. So although I would buy your new cookbook, I can only read text online! But I like to extol your virtues! My live in aide has a big crush on you and thinks you are beautiful - which you are! Hopefully, it becomes super famous in Europe, so I can buy it from Portugal! Right now, it’s just a bit expensive for me (78€ on Amazon), but I believe it’s worth every cent. I also really loved the tea setup you have going on. Ever since I found out about fenugreek, I’ve been making it regularly, mostly after big meals. But I see you have lots of goodies in the tea box. Would you please share with us what’s inside that tea gem? Super interested in having that spice tea routine in the morning! Also, the box setup seems super practical, and the tea bags as well!!
