I totally get you, I struggled with self esteem issues for years and it took a long time to feel comfortable in my own skin, I don't even know when I stopped worrying about how People viewed me but it's very freeing once you reach that place. X

I love the intro to this video. As a 41 year-old lady, I love being the age I am. I look back on 20s with fondness, but not wishing I was still there. I have learned to have a more confident voice and be more sure in what I want. What's important to me is more apparent than ever. Your 20s can be fun, but it's also massively stressful with money and school and career. Things have certainly settled a bit, and I don't have to count pennies to buy gas anymore. I feel like I can really focus on me and what I love about life. Happiest of Birthdays, Lucy! I really feel like your 30s are going to be a great lead-in to the next stage in life!

Happy belated Birthday Lucy. What a great selection of gifts. Your friends and family really know you well and the Cheryl bowl was genius, had me laughing too. Ridiculous but fun 🤣. Getting older does give you more confidence in yourself with each decade that passes. You start to care less about what other people think and become more comfortable in your own skin, which of course is a good thing. I look back at photo's of myself in my late teens/early 20's when I was a size 10 but did not appreciate then what a good body I had, as I didn't have the confidence in myself and didn't think I looked good. Now at nearly 59, I have bottles of confidence but sadly not the slim body I once had, but TBH it doesn't really bother me all that much as I am totally not bothered about what anyone thinks so I am just me and wear what I think I look good in and I don't give a hoot what anyone else thinks. All those years of worrying and overthinking what everyone might or might not think of me is just such a waste of valuable time. Live it, don't fret it, we only live once so just enjoy it.

So happy to hear that you’re in such a good place. I feel like I’ve watched you grow up since I first saw you crying about being made redundant. I had a thought about your gin bottle…my husband is from Mississippi and they have a tradition called a bottle tree. It is usually wrought iron or wood and you put bottles on the arms. They are usually in the garden and the prettier the bottle, the more lovely the tree. We have cobalt, amber, clear and green. There are so many lovely wine and alcohol bottles out there to collect and because the trees are supposed to bring good luck to the home, you could use bottles that have a special meaning to you and Adam. Here, in Alabama, there are a lot of craftspeople who sell them at festivals and arts and craft shows, but I’ll bet you could find them on line. Love all your gifts and again, Happy Birthday😘

As someone who is also surfing their latter teens and start of a professional career full of insecurity and a lack of self confidence, I really resonate with this. I’ve seen some of the other comments asking for a 30 things I’ve learnt at 30 and I’d love a video like that too - especially with the things you’ve learnt about insecurity growing up. Also Bath is beautiful and is very local to me - I’d recommend Sub 13 as a homey and bougée cocktail bar with lovely outdoor terrace and also Sweet Little Things as an independent café with gorgeous cakes!! AND Boston Tea Party in Bath does THE BEST chai tea lattes in existence (not a coffee drinker but I'm guessing that means their coffee is pretty great too!). Have a lovely weekend away 💙

I turned 30 Feb 28th, but I can't say I've felt the weird 30 fluster I was quite happy to leave my 20s behind, I also feel quite confident and secure in my life and myself and it feels so good. Happy birthday Lucy!

I do have lovely friends and family! Single, not where I want to be career wise, but in good health and beginning to find my style, or my creative flow! I would recommend the open top bus 🚎 It’s really chilled compared to doing it in other cities/towns, that would help you get your bearings. The Fashion Museum is also a good thing to see as it’s quite small and unique, it’s spaced over two rooms. It is right next to The Royal Crescent x

I'm despairing at becoming 30 in next 6 months, my skin care anti-wrinkle routine getting out of hand 😂 I'm getting their with grasping a more positive attitude like you but not quite there yet - I've only just found my calling in life, and it just so happend to be nursing training in the midst of pandemic 😂😅 though I'll qualify as I turn 30 so Im hoping i'll feel content that I haven't failed at life at that point. Fingers crossed!!! In Bath you must go to the thermal spa, it is dreamy! We did that, the Roman baths and a boujee champagne afternoon tea at the pump rooms. It takes you through a disused railway and it’s incredible ❤️ also there’s a wonderful little jewellery shop called the Gold and Platinum studio which is well worth a look! Of course the old pump room is incredible for an afternoon tea and it’s quite posh ☺️
