The one thing I did at my wedding that I feel like was the best idea ever was to have a potluck. We provided the meat, drinks and dessert, and our guests all brought side dishes. It was an absolutely incredible array of food and it was so fun because we didn't know what people were going to bring until we got there.

Such a lovely video, and the part where you and Adam sat together and he described the ring process and the proposal made me smile so much! Congratulations 🎉 planning-wise, it's probably good to have a ballpark figure of the maximum number of people you're likely to want to invite, but don't spend too much time getting a specific guestlist together at this stage because good venues get booked up early so you'll want to spring into action with researching locations, visiting them and looking at local suppliers too so that when you find the venue you want you can liaise with other key suppliers to make sure the date you want works for everyone! Planning is stressful but also a lot of fun!

Genuinely so so pleased for you both! I don’t think anyone can ever properly explain that complete and utter giddy feeling right after it happens, but it’s my most vivid memory of when my partner proposed last year (on the beach at Durdle Door overlooking the sea). I think my first reaction after actually saying yes was to essentially yell at him ‘WHO KNEW ABOUT THIS?!!’ because I couldn’t believe multiple people had been able to keep it a secret! I think choosing a date fairly early on is incredibly useful when starting to look at guest list/venues/suppliers etc - even if it’s just narrowing it down to a specific fortnight - as it allows you to get more concrete yes(es) and no(s) regarding availability and plans! Can’t wait to see the process unfold ❤️
