What I Got My Kids for Christmas! 

We usually do, “something you want, something in you need, something to wear, something to read”. Which keeps it simple. But this year we already got them everything they need and new winter gear to wear. So we did a dollar store sibling gift exchange, where I took one boy and my husband took the other, and they chose $10 worth of stuff for each other- it was so much fun! Then I popped into the thrift store and picked up one toy/game, one puzzle and one book each. All for under $20! So good 😊

We are not Christians but my eldest was born on Christmas eve. The hospital was right in front of church and we both were awake all night listening to songs and carols😊. So Christmas is always special for me. The gift ideas are wonderful 👍🏻

Oh my! Those cups you got the baby are my arch nemesis 😂😂. We have them and our 18 month old just dumps the water out of the tub with them so we had to stop giving them to him. 😂😂🤦🏻‍♀️

I am Catholic also and people can never understand why Mary is so important to us. I love the blanket. It is beautiful.

We use a Trello board to organize Christmas. We have nine kids. It really helps organize ideas, what has been purchased , what has been wrapped, and where it is! We give four gifts. One Big gift from us. We used to give Legos but after having so many kids and a whole room just for legos, we have enough, lol. So one big gift from us and three from Santa. Santa collects their list on the Feast of St. Nicholas and St. Nick leaves a "end of year review" for them . This is the first time in 17 years I haven't been pregnant or nursing so I was able to buy and wrap everything early. That's 36 gifts under the tree plus they do a secret santa exchange on Christmas eve between themselves.

I loved the Guadalupe blanket. When my 8 month old was born I was gifted a plush dark red St Benedict medal blanket and a plush light blue Sts blanket. They are so soft and it's so neat to show our catholicism through a useful cozy item we have with us. I was in love with them and so is my baby. Great gift ideas... how fun

I also have a running list and notes starting in January on my phone for when the kiddies mention something that like. I also make note of things that they need throughout the year. Makes Christmas shopping and birthday gifts so much easier and fun. Great video ⭐️

I plan gifts in my notes too. Then I create a chart to make sure it’s even haha. 4 kids here and similar 200$ish budget as well.

Great gift ideas. We took our kids to Puerto Vallarta a few years ago, but I really felt called to go to Mexico City and see our Lady of Guadalupe. I didn’t really have the extra money but a week before we went on vacation. I had an unexpected check be put in my bank account, we booked overnight flights from Puerto Vallarta to go see our Lady of Guadalupe. She was so beautiful. I’m so grateful we got to go. Unfortunately I was in the middle of Covid, so there was a lot of restricted areas we couldn’t go to. I would love to go back Sunday.

I can confirm that the mystery mudders are a one time wash the colour off thing - don't do it in your bath unless you want to clean all the brown paint off. So good job getting the other colour change ones that keep changing. Love the presents for your kids. You did great

I loved that video! You did good job with the gifts! Buying gifts to my kids makes me so happy. I think I am more excited than they are. :D I make my list in november, I buy gifts for the kids on behalf of their grandparents as well so I buy around 10 gifts for each of them. (I have two girls 8 and 3yo). I have an excel file with gifts for each and how much they cost. I browse online and write down what I think is cool. I buy the gifts during black friday discounts mostly. We have big sales in two of our biggest kids toys stores so I just go and pick whatever I think they might like or what they actually told me they want. Some I bought online as well. Shopping in november also helps me by giving me more time to wrap the gifts so I don't stress during the holidays :) :)

We had a budget this year of $200 that had to cover bday and xmas. (Jan bday). We did so much bargain shopping. I think once we add it all up one more time its going to be a little over. Maybe $215-$230. But im really proud of how well we did. We had a few specific gifts in mind, but mostly we had categories we were looking out for. Hes almost 5, and our categories were books, puzzles, paw patrol, pj masks, race tracks for his car collection, outside toys, bath toys, experience toys, "surprise eggs" and "transforming toys" We couldn't find a good new bath toy for his collection so that didnt happen. We couldn't find a surprise egg like he meant, with multiple surprise toys inside that didnt have slime. And we are not opening the slime pandoras box yet, so his surprise egg is this thing with a toy dino in it that you chip away the egg part from. He got the other categories covered. We couldn't find the really big transforming toys at a good budget price, so we did 1 medium one and 2 small ones. I think thatll work out better anyway. We'd originally planned an even split between pj mask stuff and paw patrol stuff but the ones we found good deals on were almost all paw patrol. It is what it is. He'll love it all anyway. Several toys overlapped categories. Hes got a paw patrol book, for example. But the shopping was fun and we met most of our goals, and i dont think hes going to miss anything we had to skip. So yeah, proud of us! 😊 Hes our only child right now, so im always very invested in how families with multiple kids manage budget and gift numbers. Doing my research now before we have 2 kids! 😅

I prepare the same way you do for Christmas, with the exception of writing stuff down as the year goes on. I save money monthly, each child (I only have 2) gets 10 presents, and I try and keep the budget the same. Although, my oldest is a boy and a preteen, so his are a little more money.

At some point in the future, when my daughter is older, I would love to live minimally but right now she’s still young and I love spoiling her for Christmas ❤

My 3yr old granddaughter loves her doodle mat. She likes it better hanging on the door better than the floor

First, I was soooo excited to see a video on this channel! Second, those are great gift ideas for boys. I have one boy who also loves stuffed animals. We are a 3 cat family and so he loves cat anything. Last year he found this thing which I call cat in a can lol it’s a surprise stuffed cat shoved into a tube. Anyways, he has 6 of them lined up on his bed. The stuffed animal problem is real over here! Hope you have a great night!

My son lives ninja turtles and Mario as well. That was pretty much the theme this year for him. He also loves reading with a flashlight at bed time 😂he’s been doing it for about 7-8 years and we have tried to get him lamps and such but still goes back to his flashlight

We got the air fort a few years ago and it is one of the toys that our kids always return to play with! Our one year old just got the steering wheel for his birthday and he loves that toy!!

One thing I will do, 4 of my kids have a birthday in the first half of the year, so I will buy all of their Christmas gifts and a couple extra while it's all on sale then just save them for their birthdays! Most of the time I get everything they need for their birthday at black Friday and don't need to shop for anything at full price the next year

I am trying to make sure I am giving my kids equal gifts. My kids are almost 9 boy and twin 7 year old girls. It’s hard. I have a list. The cost is not equal I am not sure if they will realize at this age. But they will notice if one sibling got more presents. I love the tent my son would love that. His sister would probably get in the tent too. He likes to make forts.
